Sanguinary priest conversions?

Recommended Posts

I know this is a bit of an old topic, but seeing as how I just finished converting my Sanguinary Priest today, I wanted to share it. He hasn't reached the primer stage yet, but that should allow you to see how the conversion was done. I may do a bit of last-minute modification before I prime him, so that may be a good thing.

The chalice is made from a piece from the Furioso Dreadnought sprue (I think; I can't quite remember because I found it in my bits box), the arm from a Standard Bearer, and some Green Stuff. I may redo the bottom part, as well as add some purity seals and other iconography.

And yes, the Green Stuff on top of/inside the chalice is going to be blood sloshing around.

Thanks mate!

I assembled him in a conviniently fallen pose and then I chopped off his leg and his hand, I drilled some holes in his helmet and messed up his chest plate where the SP would make the "incision" to extract the gene seed.

Frag Cannon nozzle?

I think you may be right.

You are in fact right; it was the end nozzle piece from the frag cannon for the Furioso dreadnought. Worked out quite well, I think.

Also, here are a couple of updated pics of my Sanguinary Priest (still needs some touching up, as well as a wash and my chapter emblem):

Well, if you've ever looked at the sprue for a Furioso dreadnought, there are a couple of pieces for the frag cannon that aren't attached to the actual weapon yet, and that piece (that goes on the end of the barrel) was one of them, and that's what I used.

Here's my effort: I field him as Corbulo

Taken a few months ago, I've since spruced him up a lot.

I didn't think it was right to give him a chalice: it doesn't fit well with the flesh tearers. So I gave him the gene seed box from the ravenwing apothecary, and say that the FT are so desperate for gene seed that they will fight all the harder to preserve it.

EDIT: new piccie of slightly spruced up Corbulo :)
