Thraxius Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 Well for some odd reason I can't patch DoW neither any of its expansions. On my old computer with windows vista I could, but windows 7 refuses to install the patch. I have try, running the patches manually, directly from the multiplayer thing, run them as administrator, reinstall the game as administrator, retry to install the patches as administrator, close any firewall or antivirus, left the patch working for an entire day like some web pages and FAQ suggested and nothing. If you go to Control Panel->User Accounts then click on Change User Account Control Settings and drop the slider to the bottom. Restart your machine and then try it again. I only suggest this because I am an IT Manager and some of our users have had similar issues patching games. NOTE: Make sure you put the slider back to where it was once you have done this. It is odd because when I had the cracked versiones I could patch them then I bought the originals and could patch them. Changed to this newer computer and can't patch them.
