Nurgle army pics and scenery build

Legion monkey

Recommended Posts

Ok, here are some images of my army and some early stages of my urban scenery for a campaign I am designing. I should mention my colour scheme is based around something I read describing the pre-heresy colours of the Death guard. The book described it as Ivory with a dark green trim. I imagined over time the ivory would brown in colour, dirt and grime and time so to speak, and the white milky ooze I use is the new strain of Nurgles children, the virus he made especially for this new and secret hoard, The 3rd Legion of Nurgle.

Hope this works ok and you actually see something......

Ok, thats the army colours and a small start to my army list. The next images are of my table scenery in its infancy, alots changed since these were taken but you can see the kind of idea I am working on from these below.....

Ok, I thinks that enough for now, I am so crazy with this project but its a lot of fun too, so much more to do and I am already writing up the scenario missions for each and every race in 40k so any army can come onto the table with a specific goal, and of course I have allowed for a three way game also! Hope you like the images.

Hail,

Yep - definitely looks amazing. I think your city project is awesome - and some of the most epic battles will probably be fought in urban enviroments.

Keep up the steam, and let us see some colour on the city!

Regards,

Master Ciaphas

That's some really fine work you've done there. I appreciate a lot of the time it seems you've put into the scenery. Dude I hope it all plays out well. It should. You seemed to have put a lot of work into it. I might post a few of my pics from the army I'm building w/ a Nurgle theme. Again, good work. Seriously. I love this stuff.

I'll be very interested to see how you paint the styrofoam (if thats what it is). I have been trying to use it for my scenery and some of the paints and primers seem to "melt" the foam.

Primer and most spry paints will melt the styrofoam. However, you can roll the paint on or you can coat the foam in watered down PVA glue and it will not melt.

Not to hijack the thread just passing on some info to a fellow B&C member

On topic we need more pics.
