To be honest I'm not that bothered about it, if anything it will make my guy more unique and i need an excuse to slake my conversion thirst

Well crap, I thought I was on the Sept 1st deadline. I just started detail on my first Rhino and bought a Razorback to add to my vow.

Well im going to be spending tomorrow afternoon painting up 5 boltguns and two plasmaguns :P

-edit- i only realised they hadnt been given bolters yet during a game at GW where one fo the staff queried as to what my marines were going to be rapid firing at him with claiming that they had left the fang without any of the Emperors holy boltguns.

 

I told him that if it came down to it my wolves would rapid fire by flinging the emperors holy powerarmoured shoes, either way, those eldar are dead!

 

He was not amused :P

so here goes my completed vow for the 1st of August, full grey hunter pack.

The bases aren't done, as I want an unified look in the end, same as brother Beef.

For that unified look(snow fallen on rocky battlefield yesterday night) I've done the first testmini, it's my Wolfguard Battleleader "Bulweih".

Well..Conversion is done on the Dreadnaught. And the pack of Long Fangs is pretty much painted minus the squad leader. And about half of the grey hunters are painted,along with the Wolf Priest for the Duel to the Death Challenge.

 

pictures will be posted as soon as I learn how to post the pictures to the forums lol. Any insight would be awesome.

Well, I finally finished the seventh Grey Hunter this evening, So my vow is now complete!!

 

And I will also post pictures of the completed unit tomorrow, as it is now 1:30-ish in the am and I am dog (pun intended) tired!!

 

I enjoyed this so much that I would like to vow to paint all ten of my Fenrisian wolves by the September deadline. I am using the Goblin Wolf riders wolves for any of you curious.

Go to photobucket and make an account.

On your new homepage will be an option to upload.

Click that and then select whatever pictures you have on your computer.

 

Now you are on B&C, and you select "insert image" -> you then enter in the address your photobucket picture has.

The address to use is 'Direct Link' - it is one of four addresses that your photo will have when you move your mouse-cursor over it.

command/control c to copy the 'Direct Link' info

command/control v to drop the address info into the "insert image" slot, and then press return/enter.

 

voila!

This is a preference of mine for taking photos. The face of the mini is its 'centre' and focal point.

Take your photo of the face with the light source coming from over your shoulder ~ the best bit will get lit up and the shadow of the mini will disappear behind it.

So the first part of the challenge is finished! Thanks everybody for Your participation and motivation - I myself felt a bit pushed this week to finish a couple of minis, which otherwise would have been left on the shelf with me toying around TWL conversion :P.

There is still chance to put Your pics for those who told to do so or those several missing souls :nuke:

You are entitled to the nice wolfy token, which was kindly made for this event by our well known and respected mod here Max_Dammit. The token is here But You have to figure out how to use it Yourselves - You need to place it as an image link in Your avatar/signature options.

 

For the rest - the challenge continues till September 1, 2010, and even later. I will be managing this thread and posting updates on a regular basis as before. And I am thinking about entering another vow :) Are YOU?

Go to "Your controls" - "Edit signature" and in the signature filed put the following text [ img]http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads/1234192677/gallery_17224_3229_326.gif[/img ] - but delete the space after and before the square brackets.
