Wicced Posted April 8, 2011 Author Share Posted April 8, 2011 thanks brother Loken86! i found a pic of the backpack but the angle isn't perfect, it's just a normal CSM backpack with the "arms" cut of where it bends up and two spikes added. (hope that makes sense :lol:) chosen 1 backpack: the bullet holes on Khârn are simply drilled and then filled with a little GS to get the desired depth. his chain is from the old dark eldar hagashin jetbikes and i used another one on my bikers that are coming soon :huh: (anyone remember Full Throttle? the chain as weapon while riding the bike served as great inspiration) now i just need to get my painter motivated and take some wip shots of my bikers :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wicced Posted May 2, 2011 Author Share Posted May 2, 2011 time for an update :D the last few days, i've been trying to convert Forgeworlds Shadow Captain Whatshisname and finally i'm done and managed to make a raptor out of him B) i also finished a little side project, which i'll use as dark mechanicus adept or techmarine for my warband. my painter also got busy with some more of my models and i got some pictures of various painting stages. so on to the pictures... raptor: dark mechanicus: Plasma gunner (halfway painted): and some metallic details on a berzerker and a missile launcher trooper: as usual it's all WIP and things might change before final assembly :lol: c&c appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wicced Posted May 4, 2011 Author Share Posted May 4, 2011 @gizur: thank you very much! @loken: thanks bro. the dark mechanicus is based on "Chagall" a champion of the "Archeron" faction from Rackhams Confrontation game, additional parts are: -old orkboss claw -a skull as mask -lots of cables made from green stuff -dark elven crossbow hand -techpriest backpack -2 guitar strings for the mechandrites (plus drill and optics from the apothecary's narthecium) -and a gun which i got from my buddie's bitz box, but can't identify any more as for the rest of you guys, my painter Booyah and me would be happy about some comments regarding the paint, even if it's WIP. Wicced Posted May 23, 2011 Author Share Posted May 23, 2011 almost a month since the last update... i'm still busy finishing several projects at once, but i managed to complete a bunch of my infantry models and got them primed. my painter basecoated these guys monochrome, but it looks a little grainy in the pictures, which is sad, cuz they look much better in real life. well here are some groupshots of the boys: and two of my favourite guys as close ups: this guy was greatly inspired by Dan the Demon's "saw bolter design" love those sanguine guard weapons ;) hope you guys enjoy and if you'd like to see more of them as close ups, just request them here and i'll post them :tu: as usual C&C is appreciated... Wicced Posted June 4, 2011 Author Share Posted June 4, 2011 since my last post just achieved a lot of views and not a single comment, i decided to finally quit this miserable hobby... ...NOT! :wink: here's what i've been up to lately. i always loved the metal raptors, especially because of their clawed feet., but i never tried to cut one up and use it. it was a real pain to carve the flame like extensions from the feet, but i really like how it turned out. so without further ado i present you my raptor vs scout mini diorama. there is still some clean up to do (e.g. chestplate above the belt), but i'm very satisfied with the outcome. hushrong Posted June 4, 2011 Share Posted June 4, 2011 I like the diorama, and even made one like it myself awhile back, but the pose of the raptor is throwing me off a bit. It looks like he is landing on the scout (cool how the claws grasp the head) and taking aim at another unseen one, but the way the head is so far back doesn't compliment the feel. Wicced Posted May 14, 2012 Author Share Posted May 14, 2012 long time, no post, time for an update :) after my buddy Booyah painted some more of my night lords, my conversion fever acted up again. as we all now, the best cure is finishing some models, so i went back to some projects and completed this guy. a big thank you to Greyall for inspiration in form of his drawing of "Roar Cravasson" and brother Nihm for his Chaos lord (especially the feet)! this is one of my most time consuming project so far and i'm very proud of the outcome. c&c is as usual most appreciated enough words, time for pictures!
