OK. Now what about their beliefs? How do they see the Emperor? What do they emphasize about him and their Primarch? How do they see their role in the Imperium? How do they see the Codex? How do they deal with enemies who aren't so cooperative as to stand their and engage in honorable battle (there could be a lot of milage in that)? What made them feel this way in the first place? Has it affected how they interact with those outside the Chapter? Has it earned them enemies, made them friends, both?

(I don't expect you to put all this in the IA, but the more you know about it, the more you'll have to work with).

EDIT: Actually, as Nightraven says - what's dishonorable about defense. Explain that further.

Did that make sense?

No. ^_^

Very rarely do the chapter participate in defensive campaigns, preferring to assault with their fast moving mechanised bridages(???), breaking the defences of the enemy with one great assault. As quoted by Captain Seren "As Asartes we always attack. If we are forced to defend, then we have failed somewhere and it brings shame upon us all."

I don't understand what is so shameful about defensive action. If they exemplifies (btw, is this real word?) honour in battle above all things, why they look down on the heroic last-stand and such?

The recruits must be ones who show courage and no fear in all things and must win their combats in the trials by showing respect in what they have slain, displaying that they have the honour and nobility to become a battle brother.

Elaborate, please.
