BoR's Dark Angels

Bringer of Redemption

It is nice to see how far I've come. The downside is that I know I really ought to strip and repaint the old termies, because they're a downright mess. The problem with that is that it takes forever.

dettol (the brown stuff) and a toothbrush are your friend here. a couple of minutes soaking in dettol and the tootbrush will rip right through the paint causing no damage to the model

Well, it's been a busy summer, and I haven't had as much time to paint (or play warhammer) as I would have liked. I leave for college this evening, so I thought I'd post one last set of pictures: My army as it currently stands. (No, I'm not bringing it to college... yet)

The full army:

Deathwing Squads 1-4, as well as Belial and a Librarian:

The Ravenwing (with members of the 10th company hiding in the background):

The Third Company detachment:

And, of course, the Armory:

best thing i did to be honest was take a break while studying. got back after uni and rediscovered my army in my mother's attic and realised what a poor job i did and made me strip them right back and start again. re-ignited the love for modelling that i had lost by taking so long to build it up and made me realise how much my army looked odd next to each other with no theme tying them together

didn't buy anything new for a couple of years because of work but at least i had the time after uni to concentrate of repainting my entire force. originally started collecting when i was 10 and went to uni when i was 21 so you can imagine how much the painting techniques evolved over the years

Well, that was a busy summer. I'm off to college again soon, so no more painting for a while.

Well, I plan on keeping my hand in the gaming aspect as much as possible, but it's unlikely that I'll get anything new over the net 4 years.

One year later...

I guess you just couldn't resist, huh?

That's a great looking army, congratulations on completing such an epic vow and good luck at college this year. ^_^
