Thanks very much both,

Been busy doing what brings me a healthy amount of joy...magnets. Missus says she can actually feel the joy coming off me.  Still much to do tho this guy yet. But with most of the weeks evenings to myself should be able to get some good progress done. Then back to painting heretics.

Better shot of the fist.

various differnt load outs I have so far.

Good shot of the upgraded chainfist, my thoughts. This thing is made for punching tanks(iirc) so the standard on looks a bit .. not up to the job.

Wargear options so far other then the ToT.

I love the damage to the chainfist. You know he deflected some mighty blows with that sucker before ripping his opponent apart.

Thanks very much all, comments greatly appreciated. Keeps me motivated.

@kobrakei, happy to know you changed your mind :)

@Venomlust, punching face is his game, causing pain is his aim. The same kind of damage will be modeled throughout the whole model eventually.

@Vanguard, thanks very much and pull it out, filthy xenos scum ain't gonna crusade themselves.   :biggrin.:   Do you have a wip thread?

@Eberious - no not yet, as soon as the pile of plastic is cleared of mold lines and I get a squad or two assembled I will start one. I've been collecting bits and brainstorming model ideas for a good long while now so I'm keen to actually get going. Also it's been many many years since I've painted

Time to brush the dust off this thread once again.

Finished the Marshal guy, pics to follow later today along with some other Terminator goodness.

For now, seeing as I already have the pic code. Here's what I've been working on recently. Currently submitted for Chaos at the gates II challenge.

Got a lot more done on this since this pic was taken. Been frustrating the heck out of me. Spent nearly a week and a half trying to get a decent pose but something just didn't look right. Used the same armour collar as the marshal. Took me a week to come to the conclusion that it was just wrong for the model I wanted/pictured in my head.

Good to see you fighting for the right side again ;)

Amazing work as always.  Only one thing strikes me as odd.  The hammer for the marshal looks a tiny bit odd with that bit of white plastic extending it at the end.  That, and you chose to use a snotling instead of a kitten for Sir Stompalot. :teehee:

Aye, feels good to be Templaring again. Back and forth between all projects. The only reason I didn't use any kittens, is there are none left. My crusade has shown them the Emperors light! So sir stomps a lot (love it!) is making do.

Well, finished the building part of this model. Going to try and hold off painting it before the ETL, will give me time to finalise the overall colours and paint scheme. Also left the legs blu-tacked for now as will just be awkward to paint the base and ork with them on there. So I'll save myself that stress. I've also magnetised the Knight at the waist join to make for easy transport, will help with painting to.

Anyways..

SPEAK TO THE FOOT FOUL GREENSKIN!!!!!!!

I've added in a few extra non game affecting(from what I know) equipment. Either side on the waist I'm stuck in some search lights, and in the middle under the chest plate is a frag launcher. Again just for show because I had one square lying around and story wise if the driver/pilot needs to get out to do anything, she can pop the frag clearing the area or whatever. Was going to get a bolt pistol of heavy stubber in there but just no room. So you could imagine if she needed to get out for any reason, pop the frag, bust the top hatch open and let loose with the stubber before disembarking.

Have to say, this is quite possibly the best greenstuff I've done, while the knight helmet icon is a print from a mold, the scrolls were rolled out and popped on with ease. Surprised me to say the least that they turned out so well.

The main weapons are magnetised as well, no need for pics as we all know what they look like.

C&C welcome as always,

Next up, more bikes....around 14 of them. Not sure if I should make them just a normal bike unit or the 5 man command squad that I see we are restricted to(as in just 5 of them). Can't see anyway to make that unit bigger without adding in IC's. Or am I missing something?

I have not liked this miniature since it has been released but I have to say that you have changed all of that with this conversion. In the Grim Dark future this miniature has a place!!!

Got some sculpting done last night, and I'm really pleased with the results.

Half sculpted it, then wrapped a tiny chain around his waist to mark out exactly where the chain will sit then finished it off. The chain will be added back on tonight. Tried a few runs with a cloak as well last night but after several runs and it messing up gave up, twas late in the eve. Going to have another bash tonight.

Thanks very much for the comments all.

@Honda, the claws are the normal terminator ones with the blades chopped off. I used the claw fingers off the chaos terminator lord sprue and stuck em one.

@MikhalLeNoir, thanks, If you mean the section around the head its from the ven dread kit, chopped off and simply stuck on..carefully in the right place.

The torso was left empty, so there is no terminator chest plate there. Rather filled up with left over greenstuff bits. Then cut the tabard from a sheet of rolled out greenstuff, and carefully sculpted/pushed around the body.

Well, back in the Black & white and chainswords revving. seeing as 8th is on the way and my filthy Xenos got all the combat in 7th(other than one game), my Black Templars will have the limelight in 8th. While in the midst of a mini painting challenge on the BT sub forum I might as well get some stuff that rightfully needs/deserves to be done.

Going to start with my non game/codex legal model. Been sitting around long enough(6 years I count) so with a few modifications made and some interior details its next up on the painting block.

Old pic for quick reff to changes, mainly just the side guns.

http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x370/EberiousTemplar/DSC07469.jpg

So heavy bolters to Hurricane bolters for more dakka, long planned never done. Which if allowed to run in games with pump out some serious bolter rounds now. Left the pintle bolter mounted as is.

Added interior details, made from greenstuff. Made blue stuff moulds for the seats, door mech and random things on inside hull, controls/ports.

Re-enforced the armour plate on the assault ramp. Was a bit weak so rammed some greenstuff and plasticard strips. Obviously can't see it but its stronger for it.

As mentioned replaced the HB's with Hurri-B's, stripped out and rebuilt/replaced the top armour for the Hurri-B sponsons with the ends of LR track guards and the HB ammo boxes from the stormraven.

Its been a while, but the Crusade is ETERNAL!!

Hmm, good question. There was a few ideas thrown around back when it was made, Battle toad was one that sticks in mind. Nothing confirmed though. I'll probably name it after its painted, pattern wise, no idea. I'm open for suggestions.

Rules, none really. Made it mostly for fun. But usual hurricane and heavy bolter rules, transports the normal 10 Crusaders, assault ramp, usual tank upgrades, probably higher armour than a rhino, like a predator. But will be wounds and stuff with 8th on the way.

Again, open for ideas on that.
