But given the quality of these pieces youd be worth the fee. Actually I shipped some stuff overseas to him and am ordering my stuff from UK sites to save on shipping straight to his door, so if your in the UK he is closer than you think! I should also mention that the above Sergeant is Sergeant Doran, leader of squad Doran. Anvilarium Posted December 1, 2010 Share Posted December 1, 2010 Love the models, I've wanted to do an Iron Hands army for ages and yours are great inspiration! One piece of advice: Your Decals are excellent, but you can see their shiny surface in almost all of your photos. To get rid of this, and make the decals look like they are actualy painted on, get a pot of Matt Varnish (I use Vallejo Game Color Matt Varnish) and paint over the whole shoulderpad area, decal and all. Now I know it's rude to ask about one's tricks of trade, but I feel I have to nonetheless - could you please tell how exactly you do these highlights? They're pretty crisp but also very natural looking, I was wondering if I could pull something like this off with my Raven Guards, who also happen to be black...
