Subjugator Titan

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

I always wanted to have a Defiler alongside my Pre Heresy/Heresy Era Emperor's Children but never knew how to do one properly. It had to fit the style of the army of course, so a normal Defiler kit was already thrown overboard.

Then I stumbled across the Apoc sheet of the Subjugator Titan and the decision was made. I loved the look of it, looking less daemonic than the original Defiler but still making you think about its loyalty to the Big E.

At first, let me give you a picture of the old Epic version:

And here's mine. Most of it is done, the only thing that is still really WIP are the claws, they'll get sharpened and all the other fun stuff.

So on to the pics, the result after several hours of sculpting, cutting and glueing:

And the whole thing held together:

I'll post more pictures once he's done :) Oh, and be assured, he will look a LOT better once he's painted  Somehow it's the same with every one of my sculpts.

So long, :P

Screww it looking eldar or tyrandid. I have a distinct feeling its war of the worlds!

and i mean the original artwork that acompanied the musical score.

Love this. However the only fault i can pick is that the pose looks a bit like it's struggling to stand.

Loving the detailed work done on the base. Looks good and crazy, the pink and black came out really well, and overall it's good and solid. Very eldar-esque, but in that corrupted way that is so appropriate for a slaneeshi war engine.

Been toying with this idea for a while now, wasnt even sure how to start it. But this is amazing, absolutly perfect. Well done. I am def going to have a stab at making one of these now. Suitably inspired! I suspect You've made it look easy, but I guess its nothing of the sort . I have a feeling I may be PM ing you every five mins to find out how to do it. lol.

Excellent work. Any other Epic to 40k projects in the pipe line?

Just a question: what are those cheeto-looking things pinned onto the legs in the build phase pictures? What purpose did they serve?

Nice paint scheme btw, very RT.

If I understand you right, they're probably to keep the legs in position until the glue set between the feet and the base(s).

A very nice scratch build! ;)
