You know you're a Black Templar when....

...when you which you could take a Chaplain per 20men Crusader Squad.

When you think vanguard vets should have an option to upgrade the sergeant to a chaplain just because.

...When someone asks you about how to build an artillery park, you start with, "After you purchase your first three Land Raider Crusaders...."

...When the closest thing you know of as artillery is a Vindicator, and that strange thing some Techmarines drag around.

...When your men know what Imperial Guard artillery and Vindicator hits sound like to the enemy, from experience.

...Although you practice "Danger Close", you have no idea what it really means.

...When "Hey diddle diddle, straight up the middle" sounds like a good catch phrase. And it works.

You had me at three Land Raider Crusaders.

.... When you use Bolt pistols strictly for the additional Close Combat attack.

...when you wish you could take 1 Free slot Chaplain for each HQ, and 2 free slot Chaplain for each Reclisarch (our old Head Chaplain, need him back too)

...when you wish to get Vows back, and see Rage vow and Hate vow and Psyker Immunity vow...

You can ally with yourself to get another chappie in right?

you cannot ally yourself to a BT army unless we get a suplement!

(Iron Hands can ally with Clan Raukaan | Imperial Fist can ally with Sentinel of Terra)

Yeah, I double FOC all the time. Nothing beats having a beatstick Marshal running around, challenging like he's Sigismund himself, and have 2 Chaplains run rampant on the other side of the board, escorting Large Crusader- and Assault Terminator Squads. :laugh.:

Did I ever mention that Hatred is awesome? Re-rolls to hit even when they charge YOU?!  Saved my Crusaders more than once.

When even though it may cost you the match, you send forth your bare-bones chappy to challenge, and pound into dust, the Tyranid Witch-beast. (Zoanthrope)

Even more when your opponent asks what the point behind that action was.

But seriously, nothing screams: "I AM A TEMPLAR!!" like running a CC BT list, which according to most SM players "isn't a good idea" And then proceeding to smash both CC oriented Nid Poison spam, and Ork hordes, as well as an Alliance of Slaaneshi and Khornate Daemons.

Welp darn, my thinking was you could have some shenanigans like pretending to ally to with a chapter that doesn't know its origins, which allows you to pick the chapter tactics and so you could pick BTs even though you normally couldn't.  I would have thought that would then mean that you could have a detachment with the same tactics as the primary, which then would have meant you could take advantage of that little paragraph on the chapter tactics page that allows both detachments to be part of the same army.  Then you get another chappie without double force org!

edit: this is what happens when I need to go to sleep...

You're right, but allying with "hidden origine" templars "pretended" successors sounds VERY much like and Heresy to me.

...when you realize that the words "Air'E'Sea" sounds like "Heresy"

You've given me my 5th Knight scheme Brother.

...when you see so templary work, and the only words that come to your mind is: "In Nomine Templarii ! ! !"

...when the Emperor gives you the Vision of an Imperial Knight Champlain leading Templar's Forces to Battle. (I need a way to make a Giant Crozius Arcanum)

A Champlain? is that like a Champion and Chaplain combined? ;) That would be one badass space marine :cool.:

Do not mock the Mighty Champlain! He wields the Black Crozius Blade-Hammer in the name of the Emperor and Dorn! His Tabard is red with the Blood of his Enemies, His voice booms across the battlefield, rallying his Brethern and Challenging his foes. His Treads shakes the earth, and the roar of his Guns are Thunder. He is the Champlain, and He shall know No Pity, No Remorse and No Fear!
