Night Hunters WIP (Pic Heavy)

Evening all!

So you think you're finished and take the photos, and then you spot all the bits you missed!

From the front, not bad....

gallery_42238_5618_475378.jpeg

The rear, nice, nice.....

gallery_42238_5618_17954.jpeg

And then, brass chin straps needs a few washes.....

gallery_42238_5618_341964.jpeg

And finally the angle of shame!

Storm bolter skull still black, the piping under the las cannon is a mess, the vent above not much better!

gallery_42238_5618_726007.jpeg

And one completely has not even begun the edge chipping, foolish!

Stay tuned, next time, the actual completion of brother Albrecht von Hallerberg

Cheers all!

Evening all!

Arminger knight Albrecht von Hallerberg is all done!

Just a couple of close ups as the rest is basically the same:

Chipping done, last bits and bobs finished off, pleased with him!

Moving on to some standard marines on the paint station, actually one that has been waiting for about 5 years from the scout scout bike diorama, yowzers.

More on that soon!

Cheers all!

Evening all!

Yup, so "soon" is apparently almost half a year in my book, wow.

The marines are exactly as i left them, apologies DSS7, but they will be done, one day!!

Bio: Thanks man, appreciate that, amazing how much of a learning curve it always is!

Vairocanum: Cheers chap, and hopefully the wait will not be too long!

in the meantime i have managed to slap together the second Armiger!

Really happy with the heavy Lastalon arm on this one, tried to make it work on the first but couldn't but this is exactly what i was hoping for!

So no promises on what comes next, works going on our new house are, exciting, to say the least but you never know!

Cheers all!

So only a 2 year hiatus, haven’t touched a brush or mini since completing the above..wow.

So have decided to paint up an old squad converted, well, about 10 odd years ago, maybe more.

Don’t like em that much anymore so figured I wouldn’t be ruining much as I got my eye back in,

and ohhhh boy.
painting sure is a practice game!

The only part I am really happy with is the heat staining on the jump pack exhaust!
will try and get the squad finished over the next few weeks, he says full of confidence!
Cheers all

Good evening all,

Sorry, random one, but does anyone have the dimensions to hand of the repulser executioner cannon?

Both the internal barrel  and what I would call the fume extractor portions would be amazing.

Cheers all!

Forgive me if this has been asked before; I’ve followed this thread for a long time and always wondered how you got such good geometric shape on the models greaves? I can understand templates and tape for the larger vehicles, but what’s your secret for the smaller scale items like the marines themselves?

I am tempted to do a tiger strip camo for some models but not sure and looking for tips wherever I can find them!

Afternoon All!

So finished up the squad sealant:

But just couldn't get the face right, which was annoying so snapped it off and gave him a helmet instead!

And a quick group shot,

gallery_42238_5618_193388.jpeg

Good to get back in the swing of it, first squad painted in yeah, 2 years, but now happy enough that i can move on to other projects that deserve a decent paint job!

Yosef Hausakluif: Thanks fella, sadly there is no secret, just lots and lots of practice, I freehand all the hexagons on everything, be it marine or vehicle and have been doing them for years and years.

The first ones were a bit ropey, for sure, but now it really doesn't take that long.

Have always loved a tiger stripe camo, good luck and hope you find a method that works for you!

Cheers all!
