:P That is one the best versions of Loth I have ever seen.

I wish I could convince myself to get one, but with 2 of my own custom librarians in progress and then there is the cost...

Thanks Leardinal, the kit really is awesome. Loth is a little bit intimidating to begin with (so much detail!!) but once you begin on him you begin to appreciate the amount of detail that has gone into it. One of my favourite models ever produced ;)

Finally got round to checking your blog, love your stuff! Really nice purple scheme going on. I'm a particular fan of this conversion here:

That pose is great, so much so it makes me want to steal it for some of my Command Squad models, if you don't mind -_-

@Ravendove: Go for it! Must warn you though, I had to shave a bit of his upper thigh armour ridging off to accommodate his torso, otherwise he looks like he is falling over :P

@Iacton Qruze: Yep:

If you can read the Saints Quote, she says that "You will be His right hand among these accursed stars." After the saints blessing at the start of the Barrusa Crusade, the Scorps painted their right hands white to forever remember the honour that she bestowed upon them :(

Tonights update- being trying to figure out what I want for my "counts as mark of wulfen models" for a while now, but think I may have it sussed.

Basically, these dudes are the squads bezerkers: using distilled scorpion venom in a gas form (hence the rebreather), when they need it they take a big hit and it causes them to go into a frenzy, bashing and knocking seven shades out of anything that comes close that isnt in purple armour. More than one has died or been forced to retire from active service as the scorpion venom takes its toll on even a Space Marines system, but it is a valuable tool at the White Scorpions disposal, and they are more than willing to use it, despite the losses it may incur. A mild hallucinagenic, those who use it often claim of getting visions from the God-Emperor (yes, god-emperor :)), or from Dorn and former leaders of the Chapter, and as such those using are often held in high spiritual regard by those battle brothers around them.

What do you think? The legs are a bit skinny, I'll think about greenstuffing on some armoured plating to them maybe...

Also did a conversion on a death company powersword, used a Chaos chainsword (minus insignia) to give a more beserkery feel:

Lemme know what you think!

I love that colour scheme. The freehands really good as well mate. I like the running marine as well I would lower his head very slightly and I think the extra armour you mentioned could balance out his lower legs. Cant wait to see it painted

Thanks Biohazard, had a sleep on it and I'm actually scrapping the idea of using the sang guard legs, too fancy and dainty looking, got a set of greaved legs and cut em up, going to sculpt them back together and add on the armour plates from there.

Been greentsuff a go-go tonight, had so many ideas scrambling in my head that I had to try and see if they would work out ok.

First up was the heavy bolter scout, I always get the impression that scouts are go it alone guys, surviving on wits and will for weeks on end while spying on the enemy and reporting back to base, but no one really models them that way, always too clean, so going to mix mine up a bit, make em look like they have been in a couple of scraps already, and I tested it out on this guy.

http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m549/AridMonk/HBScoutBandages.jpg

Nothing too major, just some missing armour plating and a wounded and bandaged arm, but you get the idea of where I'm taking the rest of the squad :P

Next up is the Apothecary Sargeant for the 2nd Squad. Got my bitz order in and couldnt resist. (I have more finished Sargeants that Tacticals Marines at the minute ;))

Last up is a marine affectionately known as Rivets. Gadz those things are fiddly, more are in my carpet than I have left in my collection. Also 99% sure I inhaled a couple...

Quite like the look, but I dunno if its worth the cuts, swear words and mean looks from the girlfriend for interrupting The Walking Dead :/

C+C Please!

They are actual rivets, just very very small scale. I use Grandt line, and I got them from here, the 154 Medium and 156 Large rivets, round headed, then cut the rivet heads off and Bob's yer mums brother. Very fiddly, very time consuming, but looks pretty so I guess its worth it. Going to sort the centre one on the left hand leg though, its a lot lower than the rest and looks weird.

Coming along very nicely there Monk!

Huge fan of both the Scout and Apothecary Sargeant, another believer in the healing properties of floating skulls I see, good man!

Looking forward to seeing more of the purple.

YAAAAYY!!

Going to go to town on this fella, unfortunately they forgot to ship his shoulders but a quick phone call sorted that out, and I can get on my way with coming up with ideas now I know what I can do with this awesome bit of kit!

I love this army, man. Just fantastic all-around work.

Special props for the running legs you've converted. I've always thought the base Assault Marine legs looked silly - more dancing than running - but you've done some brilliant ones here.

Started work on some of the characters, but only really have the Chaplain up to any reasonable state:

http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m549/AridMonk/Chaplain.jpg

Picture of his Crozius handle, tried to green stuff a long purity seal/scripture round the handle:

http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m549/AridMonk/Chaplain2.jpg

Now that's a freakin' legit chaplain. Full-skull helm, a crozius that looks like Aquila, and with legit armor.

Bravo, man.

Cheers guys, the movement thing really just involves me standing around my house making daft poses and then trying to mimic them on the models :P

@Commander S. Caesare, thanks man, still not 100% happy with him, will perhaps do some more to him over this weekend

Some update on the Contemptor, still havent got my shoulders, seems they missed them out on a heap of orders so they are on a bit of a backlog now :/

Love this kit though, its so damn pose-able!! Might get another one and have a "Yoga Dread" :P

Plenty sculpting to do on this, just waiting on some chains and other bits and pieces arriving.

Heh, that's just a part of the process, brother - I did that too. :(

Love your work and I'm thrilled to see progress on the Contemptor! Any chance of me/us gettin' a size comparison shot with a regular marine? That'd be awesome...sauce! :D

Raiding my bits boxes for bits and pieces for this, one thing I've noticed that is missing is the admech symbol on the powerplant, may try and paint that one on...
