Seeing these makes me want to give a try at plastic Sisters of Battle (my first true love of 40k) Plus my wife loves Sisters of Battle and its way WAY too expensive to buy the metal ones so who knows...... A lot of minor work, but also a bit of visible stuff. But first, @Dark Apostle Thirst thanks I've settled for an idea someone over at Great Crusade had to just give them short cloaks like the Beauxbaton girls in Harry Potter. Well actually he suggested the cloaks the Durmstrang students have but I couldn't find any pictures of that so I decided to go for the Beauxbaton thing - okay I'll shuttup about Harry Potter I'm sure it's very taboo round these here Power Armoured Halls <_< @Mr.Malevolent thank you very much my friend! You'll have to find some Bolters small enough to be used by Wych-sized models though; the Space Marine Bolter is the size of a Wych's head AND torso.. So, onwards to the piccies! I'm stuck between using Dark Eldar bodies or using a mix of Scouts and WFB Flagellants. Have to say your newest batch of sisters is impressive. Can't wait to see them painted! Oh and the mix of GS and plasticard buckles on your Excrutiatus Sister is just awesome. As far as the plume helmet I say hells yeah! I don't think I ever mentioned this before but I love that you use the correct terminology and correct sizes and appearances for your weapons. But yeah maybe I could, you think these'd be acceptable as count-as Grey Knights? I think the tabards look great fella! They've got Power Armour, they're a highly elite Imperial army. I hope I don't disappoint with the paintjob! I'm almost getting nervous about painting them haha @Terminatorinhell, Grimdarkness and Natanael thank you gentlemen, I guess I'll try out the plume! Also the ears are actually suprisingly difficult to crop, I've already tried a lot but I'm worried they'll become too small.. @WingsOfTheFalcon thanks man, I've seen an army list for the Sisters of Silence using the GK codex but also for using the WH codex. I gotta say I'm personally leaning more towards GK cuz then I might be able to sneak some Custodes in there aswell ;) @DarKHaZZ13 if I used a GK codex I wouldn't use any psychic abilities duh ;) the close combat thing is important for me cuz I really don't think I'll be doing any more Sisters armed with guns, it's just not as cool. Well alright, I'm pretty proud of the flamer girl, but that's it. @Lemainus hahah ooh I get it! :P But thank you man, it means a lot to me. Dave the Twisted Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 I am loving this project. I'm impressed at how close to the artwork this is staying, while still exhibiting originality. Loving the fact you used those new DE models instead of SOBs which would have been my first choice. The best thing I could come up with for the DE models as a Power Armor player would have been a new Blood Bowl team And while I'm a little bit leery at the size of a bolt pistol on the Sister, I'm also leery about the size of the same pistol on a Space Marine model. I don't like how big the pistols are in general, but I understand it's important for WSYIWYG sorts of things, nor do I have the crafting ability to make smaller pistols. Yeah...college has been keeping me busy haha. I have only spent time writing fluff in the university library to keep me from going insane while studying :). Hope to change that soon after this week when papers get turned in and exams get aced. I am going to take some notes on how you did some of these sisters. I fancied the idea of starting some DE but seeing your minis makes me want some Sisters of Silence immediately. You're a bad influence on my wallet buddy! Just keep the skull and add locks of hair comming out of the back of the mask. I just Binged it and plan on giving it a go on a Sorceror of mine. The GS would be really easy and look great. I've been planning on doing something real similar to this - great inspiration here - and had considered using GK, but yeah, every squad having psychic powers and all that just didn't sit well.
