Super cool! Really nice work and very original. Well, at least I think it's original. I mean I guess you might have stolen the idea from somewhere I've not seen, but I'm assuming it's original.

Ok, it's a very original idea, regardless of whether or not you originated it. In either case, the model looks awesome.

Please excuse the traitor in your midst...

My wolves are still a very small, fledgling force. Everything is heavily converted so far, an army as characterful as SW deserve proper treatment.

I haven't done a dread for them yet, but damn, after seeing this kind of inspiration I think it's about time.

Amazing work, can't wait to see some paint on it.

Well, the update for the legs is a little lackluster, I admit; just one photo, but it's a pair of legs, what are you gonna do? With these done, (aside from a light coat of dullcote) I'm moving up to the admittedly more exciting part, the torso.

It's starting to come together, and while I find myself usually getting distracted easily, I seem to be keeping a good momentum going.

Thanks again for looking, and for all the comments. :)

@Grimfoe: You know, I'm not sure at what point this thing inception'ed its way into me, but I have worked off and on on it for about 4 years, completely scrapping and rebuilding it twice, before it all came together just so, about 3 months ago. I looked at a lot of Bjorns over the years trying to draw inspiration for my own, but I've found that very few seem to take the mark IV chassis path.

I'm not usually a big fan of the "worn look" for the armor and so on. I have to say, though, this looks awesome. I can't wait to see the finished model. Really great work.

Well I'm going to get a little faster with updates, and post them as I get a noticeable amount done. That way, you all aren't sitting in the dark for 2 weeks while I finish a whole chunk of him, just for one photo. Here, I got done with the hide backing on the fur, and the lower and chest portions on the bronze. This let me attach the torso to the legs, and finally glue in the head piece, which was the first thing I painted a week ago. hopefully tomorrow, I can get the fur on the "warbelt" done, so that it doesn't look so sloppy. (I hate that. B) )

As always, thanks for looking. ^_^

Excellent work Iacton. I can't say anything that someone else hasn't already, but truly, excellent work.

Traitor, eh? Still, you've got wolves, so you're in the process of coming to your senses. Show us a few models worthy of Russ, and we wont take a frost axe to you ^_^

I always appreciate and acknowledge another man with talent and skill. Much respect! and thank you for getting me motivated to keep working on my army, as I will do once I return home! Keep up the great work, and don't stop. Welcome to the Fang! have an ale on me brother wolf.

Absolutely LOVE the bronzework! Is it hawk turquoise or did you actually use an aging treatment to those bronzed bits? (aka what was your process??)

Also, it's never occurred to me not to paint those jewel bits as actual jewels (whether finished or unfinished currently). This has given me tons of ideas.

The patina is a light wash, focusing on the recesses, consisting of 2 parts VMA Gunship Green to 1 part VMC Blue Green, to about 6 parts water. That's followed by a selective recess lining with thinned VGC Verdegris Glaze.

It's actually never occurred to me either, but I think you stumbled on an interesting idea. So far I was planning on doing it as an aquamarine, as I didn't want a bright red gem messing with the other more muted reds on the piece, and an emerald would be off so close to the sensor lights below that are going to be a different shade of green.

Thats really cool, Both the conversion and the paint job.

One problem in my opinion, the legs seem really small compared to the huge left arm, but the model is still perfect.

People keep saying that :D I think it's actually the perspective of the photo, because looking at the photo, I agree, but the actually model's hand is barely larger than a normal dread, due to an extra armor plate, and the longer claw fingers.

Heh, I'm planning on getting some of my models shipped over soon, once they join me, youll be sure to see em. I'll be sure to stay out of the wolves way until then. :D

Absolutely loving the paint on Bjorn so far. The attention to detail is excellent, especially the (as mentioned before) snow on the legs and weathering on the bronzework.

Goes to show what putting the time into a model can get you. (Talent doesn't hurt either!)

Keep em coming!

Well Friday is here, and that means it's time for super happy update. I didn't get as far as I wanted to get for you guys tonight, so the bronze up top and the smoke launchers aren't done, along withe the whole left panel, but I'm tired, so you'll all just have to cope. :P It's Memorial Day weekend, though, so Monday should be a good painting day. I fiddled a bit, and actually did my white balance, so the grays are actually close to what they are in real life finally.

Thanks for looking!

P.S. I've got a couple of ideas for the left panel, but nothing that I feel real strongly positive about, so if any of you have ideas for me, throw them my way. :P
