The banishment of an'ggrath

An'grath was facing the Ordo Malleus, warriors with the understanding, the skill and tools to combat all things daemonic.

that combined with spending a long time in realspace makes it near impossibility for even a greater daemon of that level to maintain his presence. so there isn't really anything happening which could be called a "Matt effect".

Plus, the fact that it was an inquisitor, armed with AN ARTIFACT.

Also, just because something is large does not mean that it cannot be defeated by something small. Just look at David vs. Goliath. Or how about how in the Blood Quest Graphic Novels, a squad managed to bring down a MASSIVE titan with only a few melta bombs to the knee.

Everything has a weakness, it is just that the inquisitor and his army of GK found that weakness. Get over it.

David vs Giolath? Comparing bed-time stories to scifi are we?

Well actually historians proved there was a Jewish king named David and that he was the second king of nationally-level recognized kingdom named Israel and that there was a mighty Phillistine warrior named Goliath. At the very least, the Bible is historically accurate, if not scientifically proven.

But yes, since it was made that daemons have to expend so much energy just getting here, it would make sense that they would be weakened and then you put a group of daemon hunters into the mix and well, unfortunately 2-2=0.

Yes and in all historical accuracy, David was probably a mighty warrior as well with a large host of warriors. But that's off-topic.

OT - That many Grey Knights aren't a pushover either. I think it was more like the knights did most of the work and the inquisitor finished him off with his fancy artifact weapon.

That was my impression behind it as well.

But we also have to remember, Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus are MEANT to banish daemons, it is what they are TRAINED for.
