In my minds eye, I think that the younger marines of the Flesh Eaters have to earn the red on their armour by spilling enough blood!! :D hence why only the Sergeant and the Veteran/specialist are completely red. @jimbobthemagnificent: thankyou, modeling is proably my favourite aspect of 40k :P and my counts as Mephiston, Vladrik Von Morhein, is on hold at the moment. The are other projects in front of him. But, he will be finished one day in the near future! However, I can offer you (and everyone else) a close to being undercoated picture of Reclusiarch Sgiantor Arteso - "seer of truth" (Sgiantor is pronounced 'Skee-an-torr') As you can see, he is armed with a brutal crozius, I will be adding a skull to the side opposing the FE symbol. The holster is meant to look like it has fur, part of Arteso's fluff which I will publish with the completed model. Arteso will have the 'bat-wing' treatment but I'm waiting on an order so that will also have to wait.. @Midnight Runner: Thanks for the kind words and for the PM ;) I like the idea that the FE are a little 'chaosy' :D of course we hate chaos though!!!!! :D I think on a whole, FE are a mega win! Chaplain Hiltraud Posted September 6, 2012 Author Share Posted September 6, 2012 I have been working on a heap of fluff at the moment so progress on everything has been slow... A friend asked me to play a 1000pt game against him in a few weeks when he comes back to town and I realised that I really have no direction (game-wise) with any of my models! So I devised a plan to paint 1000pts :) The (shortened) list is: Rec with PF 8 DC - PF,PW Storm Raven 10 man Ass. Squad - 2 MG, TH DC Dread - BT So in between painting the DC Dread (pics will be up soon) I purchased one of my favourite GW models! I wanted to keep him fairly unmodified but I like to practise with GS and converted him a little to fit in the theme of my Flesh Eaters.... Haven't got a name for him yet. This first pic is a WiP of the GS, I wasn't happy with it and thought he looked a little reptillian/beaverish lol So I made him a little more 'batty' :lol: This is also the first 'finecast' model I have purchased and whoa there was quite allot of cleaning up to do, notably the shoulder pad and foot... Always knew these skulls would come in handy!!!
