Okay, here is the more detailed outline of what is happening in each section, including the inbetween bits. This is how I personally envision the final article to look, including extra lits bits here and there. At the moment I have left no room for rules, but I think this could be released afterwards as an expansion to the fluff. The authors in the brackets are merely the people responsible for getting the job done - if they wish to delegate the task to other people than that is fine. Like wise with my tasks, I might delegate them to others if I run out of time. I've also guess how many pages we are looking at for each section, but this can change depending on what is produced. The next stage is really to start the writing now. Getting all those details into place and actually making articles. Good Luck!

Foreword (Ferrata, 1 Page)
Something akin to the "There is only war" page in 40k BL books. This will set the scene of Liber based campaigns and such forth for future use.

Introduction to the Campaign (Ferrata, 1-2 Pages)
An in-universe introduction, from the perspective of an aide sending a letter to his master about the history of Petrok.

The Kuis Campaigns (CMID, 5-6 Pages)
Begins with outlining the run-up to the Kuis Campaigns, and then moves on to the individual actions of Petrok. This section will be a slightly longer than some of the following sections as it really the starting part of the Petrok saga. Imperial stretch of space declares independence and forms the Kuis Empire. The Void Wardens are the first to respond, followed by the Black Swans and eventually an Imperial Task Force under the command of Petrok. What begins as a civil war between the Imperium and the Kuis Empire is only confused further by an increased Chaos presence and an Ork invasion. The Void Wardens are lost to the Imperium but eventually victory is achieved. The vain nature of the Black Swans calls for a vigil for those lost in battle, but this results in the death of Petrok.

The Fate of the Relics (Ferrata, 1 page)
The last words of Petrok, outlining the destinations of his relics. This sets the scene for the following sections and introduces any characters that were not heavily mentioned in the Kuis Campaigns that are needed for the following ones.

The Timmingburg Rebellions (Octavulg, 4-5 Pages)
Lord-Inquisitor Timmingburg was granted the sword of Petrok after the Commanders death. However, the fate of T’burg would leave the swords in the hands of chaos (at this point, nobody knows that the sword was the one that corrupted T’burg). Slowly descending from puritan to radical to Chaos worshipper, T’burg manages to become the leader of a number of war bands across the Thaddium systems. His preaching leads to out-right rebellion that requires a number of Space Marine chapters to put down. The sword is eventually claimed and purified by the Imperium and placed on display upon Thaddium Prime.

The Rigrot Waaagh! (Ecritter, 4-5 Pages)
The Ork Waagh! assault lands under the protection of the Black Swans. The Swans underestimate the strength, and their original force is quickly overrun by the Orks, forcing the chapter into a full deployment. The Swans fight a heroic retreat all the way to their Fortress Monestary and are joined on the way by multiple other chapters. Even though they severely reduce the Orks' numbers, they cannot stop the assault on the Fortress Monestary. The sacrifice of the Swans to destroy their home whilst Rigrot was within it caused the remaining Orks to panic, fleeing from the systems.

The Black Swans (Ferrata, 2-3 Pages)
A forgeworld-styled IA about the Black Swans. This article will briefly cover the style of the chapter, the character and the Rigrot Waagh! The main section of it though will deal with the destruction of the chapter, playing the link between the Rigrot Waagh! and the Crusades for Honour.

The Limetiri Conflict (Aquilanus, 4-5 Pages)
In what can only be described as a military rooster-up by the Imperium, the planet of Limetiri is thrown into a confusing civil war and later a Chaos rebellion. Through sleeping agents within Imperial Command, the traitors are able to sow the seeds of doubt amongst the Astartes and quickly the trust between allied forces is broken. What begins as a simple civil unrest, cultivates into out-right rebellion and theft of Petrok's bones. The loyalists suffer heavy losses but are able to retrieve the relics and retreat, abandoning the planet.

The Crusades for Honour (Sigismund Himself, 4-5 Pages)
Eager to redeem their honour, the Black Swans immediately set about reclaiming the banner. Unfortunately, striking into the worlds of the Def Meks they are destroyed and lost to the Imperium. To rectify this dishonour, a band of Astartes forge their own destiny in the Def Mek worlds. Each planet they fight upon is a death trap, with the Meks have toyed with the environment with their perverse technology. The Space Marines eventually slay Rigrot aboard his Def Stompa and reclaim the banner of Petrok.

Chapters of the Saint (Ferrata, x Pages)
Each chapter in the entire book will have a little section about them. Around the same that is given to each of the non-First Founders in Codex: Space Marines.

The Relics Return (Ace Debonair, 4 Pages)
As 5000 years have now passed since the death of Petrok, as per his final wishes, the four relics are taken back to Tasryn and laid upon his coffin. Each journey seems to be besieged by bad luck as raiders, Warp Storms and seemingly the stars seem to be against them. The Imperium grinds on; the honour guard of Astartes emerges victorious and land up Tasryn. Great celebrations occur across the Kuis Stretch as their hero is now at peace. This jubilation does not last long

The Uprisings of Endless Nights (Silver Phoenix, 4 Pages)
The Kuis Stretch erupts into rebellion against the Imperium. At first, a seemingly large amount of people abandoned their lives to go pay pilgrimage to now Saint Petrok. The Imperium facilitates this movement, believing the beneficiation of one of their own people will lead people away from the old whispers of Chaos. Their joy soon turns to horror as the mass of pilgrims turn upon one another in a rampage of lust and violence. Eager to stop this display, the Imperium sends in the Astartes but even that is not enough to stem the tide. Soon, it seems the entire Stretch is leaving their homes to pay pilgrimage to Petrok. Tasryn becomes a hub of sins, with only Astartes immune to the affects.

The Saint Awakens (Firenze, 4-5 Pages)

Beaten back to the world of Tasryn, the finally resting place of the Saint, the loyalists are in a desperate defence. In the hub of the citadel, the loyalist forces find the awoken saint, a daemon prince of Chaos. The sacrifice of the marines in that chamber, against the Saint and the Iron Dragons, finally finishes the saga of Saint Petrok. These last few sections will be a lot more detailed than previous ones, but do require a lot more tie ins as well.

The Aftermath (Ferrata, 1-2 Pages)
The opposite of the Introduction, a brief description of what happened after the death of Petrok. Looking at his relics being destroyed etc.

Time Line (Ferrata, x Pages)
A timeline of the events of the campaigns. The reason this is at the end is to stop any spoilers being given.

The Authors (Ferrata, 1 Pages)
The reason behind the book and a list of all those who have taken part.

Looks good mate. I hope I can live up to the standard of the best writers here.

Do you have any ideas on word count for this? Or should we attempt to make it around the same length as an Imperial Armour chapter?

Probably looking at the 2500 word mark. A rough estimate is 500-600 words per page, so if we aim at around 2000 actually that gives us room for pictures. Obviously, for first drafts, it is always better to go over than under :tu:

True that Ferrata, just like your first IA spend hours writing it then get it torn down to what it needs to be. Can't wait to see what artwork is made for this. (I'll try get my girlfriend to do some portrait-style pictures but I'm not promising anything )

I will be doing a few pieces of artwork for this too. I've finished college now, so can now concentrate on this more in between exercising like crazy to put on muscle for the army.

If you use the same style as the Legio Imprint, you end up with about 1000 words per page.

Oooh, that looks good.

4 pages, eh? That works out quite nicely for me, in that I can now aim to write one-page-per-Segementum for Part 4.

I'm actually looking forward to getting stuck into this again, although I still need to sort out a proper outline for my section.
