PBB, thanks for the kind words. :tu:

SystemSyn, thanks I’m quietly confident I can get it finished in time. Have been crazy lately but hoping to get back to painting soon.

Sockwithaticket, :D I know, I bet you had to double check which thread you were in :D and thank you, I’m quite pleased with them. Especially the two with the two handed axes. :tu:

Eldrick, thanks bud, for the GUO and Plague Bearers Guys Id painted them a dark purple (can’t remember which one right now) washed it with druchi violet, then lightly dry rushed genestealer purple then Emperors children. Then I thinned down the Blood for the Blood god technical. I like the effect, I think to be honest a few of the steps could be missed ie the violet wash and purple dry brush because the BFTBG covers so well.

Things going well I’ll have an update by the end of the weekend. Although I’m taking delivery of a new motorbike tomorrow so that may hinder hobby progress

Digging those Nurgley fellows! I love the little Nurgling with the flail. The GUO pose is sublime too, though if you don't mind I will say I think he could do with some selective glazes on his flesh for subtle extra colour variation. He's nicely painted but a little monotone at the moment.

How are you planning on doing the wings and carapaces on the Plague Drones BTW?

Nemac, thanks bud.

Squigsquasher, thanks bud, the pics don’t really show a lot of the different shades I used on the GUO, hopefully these show it a bit better.

As for the caraoaces and wings I’ve struggled with this for a while. The carapace have a caliban green coat with a Nuln wash at the moment, plan is to give them a light dry brush now to add a bit more texture then I may use a purple wash. I want to keep them darker. The wings will be getting a couple more glazes added and then a gloss varnish.

Rednekkboss, in my defence I was left unsupervised ;)

I also added some really rough base coats to the Blood Slaughterer. Still a looooong way to go on this

Thanks buddy, I had a lot of fun painting him. It’s amazing what a few washes can do.

Normal service is somewhat resumed. I’ve been chipping away at this guy today. Still got a lot to do.

Really enjoying this guy as well, I have another 2 of these that will be getting painted soon before I make a start on the Brass Scorpion I acquired a couple of months back.

Loving everything you have done over the last couple of pages, the big guys especially but these guys -

These guys! Love the look of these guys mate, great looking squad!! Very brutal, and the bases really make them pop.

You should be, they're great! What arms did you use for the 2h guys? I'm always trying to cut standard arms apart to do 2hand poses, it never looks any good:)

I like the belt/tabard on the champ! I'm inspired by all these guys really, how You just keep building all these amazing berserkers year after year:)

Thanks bud, the tabard on the champ was from on orc kit for AoS I think. For the 2h weapons I used Grey Knight arms on a suggestion from SystemSyn, I hadn’t even considered them in the past. I was the same as you trying to butcher standard arms. I just trimmed down the mounts for the storm bolters and used a couple bits to cover the forearms. One has a part from a Skullcrusher musician and the other has a tilt plate from the same kit.

Here’s a bit of a better pic of one of them when they were being painted

Actually finished this guy a few nights ago but forgot to get pics. That’s another part of my vow finished. I will probably go back and touch up a few sections of this when I get around to painting the rest of the unit but for the sake of this vow it’s done.

The Plaguebearers are done as well apart from the bases. I just keep putting those off for some reason. Same with the Plague Drones. They will be done in time for the end of the call though. Next up will be the two Berserker rhinos :tu:

Thanks guys. The blades are painted in the exact same way I painted all the power weapons in my army. Paint blade black, light dry brush with a white or pale gray and then coat with the now sadly OOP Citadel Dark Green Ink.

Plasma coils were painted with the same method

Incredibly simple and effective. It’s not going to win any Golden Daemons but none of my work will. I just shoot for tabletop. :)

Edluderino, like I say I can’t take credit for using the GK bits, that was all SystemSyns idea. I just can’t beleive I’d never thought of it before!

Still in love with your beautiful paint scheme. It works so well! The contrast between the red and brass and the detailing with green and bone is such an effective combo.

Sad to see your Blood Slaughterer ripped your cork photo background!

Thousand eyes, thanks bud. They’re easily one of my favourite units as well. That squad has taken out a Defiler, a forge fiend and ripped the last wounds off a Knight before dying gloriously in the resulting explosion. They always seem to perform really well when I use them. :)

Pandora’s Bits Box, ha thanks buddy. As soon as I saw the preview for the Primaris Reivers I knew I had to use those heads on something in my army and Magua’s Skull Chosen were born. They’re my Lord Malek Deimos’ personal bodyguard and they do indeed break faces. :)

Augustus, thanks a lot bud. Appreciate that. Speaking of my colour scheme.

Here’s where the rhino for my Power armoured Chosen squad is at for tonight. Need to work on the metals and tidy up the red areas but it’s getting there. As lovely as the FW kit is for the extra armour etc I didn’t want to start adding it to every transport. I figured the Chosen would have a slightly fancier ride. I do have the FW front plate on the second rhino I’ve added in my Vow but the side doors are plain. I figure my Berserkers don’t really care what their ride looks like as long as it gets them closer to the enemy.

Sleep is for the weak apparently. :D

With the Termis I tend to deepstrike them most of the time. Drop them in with a Lord near something juicy in my opponents army, supercharge Rapid Fire plasma and then attempt to charge whatever’s left. They do some damage when they get in. If they fail the charge they’re picked off quite quickly though. A really expensive suicide squad but I just enjoy using them. I have started experimenting with plasma Raptors to back them up lately and they seem to work pretty well too.
