[Chaptermaster Graymantle]

Ok, let's get underway.

You may remember that the score stood at 50/50 and that the Imperial Fleet had to withdraw from orbit around Nestir V at the end of Round 2.
Well, 18 days has passed since then and having carried out repairs, they are back with a vengeance.

As the Imperial Fleet returns to Nestir V, the two mighty fleets of the Imperials and the Traitors clash.
The Imperials need to regain a foothold over Nestir V to land more troops, or Adramalech and his Captains may very well complete their devious goals.

The question remains however: Who will be chosen by fate to fight at the heart of the battle and stand out as a Champion for their side?

The players / characters left are:

Loyalists
Xavier Crussis of the Legio, seconded from the Imperial Fists - Aarhus
Lord Hakon Greymane of the Space Wolves - Cry wolf
Brother Veteran Morg of the Legio - Nephren-ka
Brother-Codicier Korvac of the Legio - Sigismund Himself

Traitors
Aedan Radek of the World Eaters -Alphz
Cryus Crom of the World Eaters - Kevlarshark
Lord Captain Belial Neigorath of the Black Legion - Neigorath
Apoc Everkill, fallen Dark Angel and leader of the Underhand - Yogi


Each side has a 100% energy pool, meaning 100 points to spend on bids for Round 3.

Bids must be in by 12:00 PM Standard GMT on Thursday the 1'st of September 2011.

As Neigorath hasn't checked in, the Chaos side better get together and agree on who is the leader to motivate the troops and deliver your bid for the preferred match-up.

Well, the bids are in and Chaos win this bid with 40 points for the following match-up:

Apoc Everkill of the Underhand (Yogi) VS. Brother-Codicier Korvac of the Legio's Librarium (Sigismund Himself).

For not having bid, the Imperial side is penalised by loosing the same amount of points that Chaos bid.
This leaves both sides with 60 points to bid for the rest of the round.

I will be dicing up the battle today.

Ops! It seems I jumped the gun a bit when I said I would be rolling the battle yesterday.
I completely forgot to ask for trash-talk and tactics.
Yogi and Sigismund: You have until 14:00 standards GMT on Saturday the 3'd of September to PM me your trash-talk and tactics.
I will then roll the battle and hopefully get it sent out for a write-up on Sunday.

Savage Mortician has agreed to write this battle.

I have however been called away on a military exercise now, which means I may be away as much as two weeks.
Hopefully the preparations for that won't hinder me from getting the battle rolled and sent to Savage so he can write it up by the time I'm back.
RL has a way of throwing things in my way it seems. Argh!

Ok, so the army got the best of me and I didn't have time to get the battle rolled and sent out for a write-up before I had to leave.
Now however, the battle is rolled and the skeleton for the write-up is sent.
I will also be working on finishing some in-between stories while we wait for this one.

Looking forward to see what Savage comes up with!

Ok, so rolling the battle I noted a rule I had forgotten.
This being that since Everkill survived a TWAM, he got this match-up for free. So the Chaos side didn't actually have to bid.
As the rules state that the opposing side that doesn't bid is punished by loosing the same amount of points as the winning bid, they loose nothing.
Therefore both teams are returned to a 100% points pool.

I haven't had any progress reports on the story yet, but as I'm lagging behind myself I'm waiting until over the weekend to start nagging Savage.
But you know what, I will just tell you the winner right now. The winner of R3B1 is:
