A very poor attempt at Angron. Very, very poor.

Check out my Photobucket for picture of my Heresy Era Death Guard, http://s64.photobuck...derXIV/profile/

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

My thoughts exactly. His upper arms are about the length of his thighs... Then again it would be futile to get annoyed on skewed proportions in 40k. The charm and quality if 40k is that it seem to have been made up by 11 year olds -its escapism towards boy hood, but still, that armour and that pose is just too cheesy.... Harrr, I´m a mighty warrior, and I have the biggest weapon in the D&D rulebook. Now I will clench my fists and look angry, haarrrrrr!

Agreed, I don't understand why they don't have the artists doing Collected Visions draw all HH covers too.

The Rendition of Angron in Collected Visons is the ticket.

Here, here!

His armour doesn't fit who he is and how it's been described! Plus he doesn't look angry enough.

If you don't look at closely it looks like he's smirking.

As for Janus, we don't know. Since he's a psyker he can't be Loken nor Garro but he's probably one of gents hired by Garro.

well, considering that loken has been crushed by a titan/falling building, survived a virus bomb,, survived a duel with abby, punked lucius the eternal, took a world eater in cc, pwned the 2 marines the WE was with, and then came back to his sanity with a single sentence... i believe that loken will manifest whatever abilites the BL decides to give him.

maybe he is a latent psyker that abilities were brought out by the trauma he suffered in being so awesome. <_<

Better than the way Magnus looks in A Thousand Sons.
When I was reading Soul Hunter, I sprained most of the muscles in my neck and had troubles getting out of bed, driving, and going to college for about two weeks.
Now that I'm reading Blood Reaver, I've caught a random fever and have laryngitis for the first time in my entire life.
I don't want to imagine what's going to happen to me when the third book in the series comes out.
Update: I picked up Blood Reaver again and within the same day was struck with a series of "bad luck" events. Examples: Losing wallet, losing credit card, car broke down.

General conclusion from all of this:
Reading these books is worth every moment of misery.

Many thanks for the link.

Oh dear. That Angron looks very silly. The World Eaters look excellent though. I see what people mean about Magnus; he looks like he has stick arms; presumably his thick proper arms are obscured by the corona of energy. I hope.

I have no idea if those are his arms or not. But what someone pointed out to me was that if you look at his sides, it looks like his actual arms are there. But what bothers me then is how it just looks like Magnus has a huge torso and tiny legs.

I find that illustration of Magnus excellent for one. His actual arms are not even entirely obscured by the corona of energy, you can see them quite distinctly, especially the hands. And those "stick arms" are the hallmark horns of his armour. Let us be fair to BL that particular drawing of a Primarch is really good.

EDIT: My keyboard hates me.

I hope not, I did not really like the face they put on Sanguinius... or his hair. Or the picture of him kicking. The picture of him holding the deamons head is ok other than the face though.

Speaking of Tales of heresy, I just finished call of the Lion and it was... hmm.. dunno.. What was it about now? Maybe Gav Thorpe was inspired by Seinfeldt -It´s the heresy-short-story about nothing!
