I think I might have over done it a bit on the smoke.

I don't think so.

I did the left track with weathering and the right with just a wash of develin mud. Which looks better?

I think the weathering looks better.

All C&C are welcome

Very nice. For all the attention to detail, though, I wonder that you didn't drill out the exhaust stacks.

Ooh, pretty ;)

While I like all of it, I especially like the infantry and want to see more of that, which is strange considering your vehicles are top-notch  :P

Its funny that you say that, I took group photos of what I have (at least the stuff i would use)

My Tanks:

My Troops:

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/P1020732.jpg

Just looking at these pictures and I see i have alot of work to do. I have less the 10% of my troops painted and only 30% of them have heads!

lol

what paints do you use with your airbrush and how do you mix them great army btw keep up the good work

At first I was using GW paints, but I found I was going through the pots way too fast, and at $5 a pop I started looking for different options. I bought Vallejo Game Colour paints and I love them ($2 a pot). The come in a dripper bottle so I'm not wasting any paint. Some of the colour the pigment doesn't mix well, red in pacticular. I found shaking the bottles didn't do the trick. I bought this

http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/product_thumb.php?img=images/images020910/EXPBA121.jpg&w=300&h=300

and I just got it in the mail last week. Unfortunatly it was to big for the Vallejo pots -_-

But i fixed that. I used my dremel and trimmed it down. I mixed a pot of Bloody Red. Normally it settles and seperates in a few hours, I looked at it this morning and it was still mixed! I love it!

As for my air brush mixture, I've been trying a few things (water, paint thinner, air brush medium) and I read in the forums of people using Windex or Acohol I havent tried the acohol yet but I like the windex. As for the mix its all trial and error. They say you want a milky liquid, not to thick but thicker then water. Test it before you paint your model, then add more of what u need.

Ha Ha, ya its on my to do list. I haven't done it before and not sure what diameter to use. I also got pretty lazy with drilling esp. on the bolters

I checked, and I'm going up to 3/32. I start off with a very small pilot hole to make sure I get it as close to exactly in the middle as I can, then expand the hole diameter in several steps. Keeps the holes tidy, straight, and centered.

So I stopped working on the Rhino (Low attention span) and started working on some troops, well at least one. I took some Pictures but I was having a hard time with light so some pics are with flash and others without.

I need to paint the power mace then coat in a matt finish, oh ya and add a head lol

So its been about 3 weeks now since i mixed that pot of Bloody Red and it still hasn't seperated. I also went through my GW pots mostly the ones that were drying up. I added a few drops of reducer and poped in the mixer and the paint is as good as new. I whish I had this thing a few years ado whould have saved me alot of money. Works on metalic paint too. my boltgun metal was very thick and not eay to paint with it. Ive tried adding water or reducer and shaking it or stiring with a tooth pick but it time it get thick again.

So i will see how long it lasts *fingers crossed*

Thanks,

But I'm at a point where I'm not sure how I want to proceed. When I First started my SW I didn't really have many troop models. So I started converting Berzerkers to wolf guard. Through trades I now have plenty of troops. So I started magnetizing some arms on 12 of my guys so that I can make different combos for my wolf guard. dantay_xv gave me a suggestion of just painting the shoulder pads different. That way if I need more Wolf guard or a plain Grey hunter i can switch it easy.

Wolf Guard = Black pad

Grey Hunter = Red pad

Claws = Yellow Pad

Long Fang = White

So this was my test model for the new Wolf Guard:

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0266.jpghttp://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0269.jpg

The only difference in the colour scheme is the shoulder pad it is black.

but this guys colour scheme is reversed

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/Berzerkers006.jpg

So I'm at a loss for I like both of them. One can be Interchangeable which is really cool but the other strands out better

So I got stuff in the mail from Puppets of War, I cant wait to play with it. I bought civil war heads, warewolf heads, and a CC dread claw

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0273.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0274.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0276.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0277.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0279.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/Styrofoam04/IMAG0280.jpg

I love the claw but I'm not a fan of the shoulder on it. I might use the square dread shoulder and somehow attach it to this.

For the civil war heads I only reall got them for the one in the cowboy hat. I think it would look amazing on power armour

The warewolf heads... mark of the wolf maybe... wulfen?!

Normally I paint the eyes but I fig because of the hat you shouldn't be able to see them. (mind the magic of macro makes him look pretty scary)

Or..

I could alway replace the head with this!

I started out small and with the Chaos codex but if you look at my sig. VVV

They didn't do to well as chaos.

Overtime I kept adding to my army through Trades (mostly from my buddy who quit the hobby) and I thought about switching codex, something closer to the fluff as I never use deamons or even marks of chaos. I never liked using Defilers or Obliterators Because I didn't believe Huron would have access to them. They are pirates so they should be renegade Marines at best. I read the fluff the Huron capturing the Wolf of Fenris. and that's how it started. I then read IA9 and 10 and I like the whole Idea of the Astral Claws using Gene-seed to increase his numbers. But why does it have to stop there. Huron could easily take all the gene-seed from the fenris and make his own Wolves. "Huron's Wolves"

Or any chapter for that matter. And since they are pirates the would take anything useful and add it to their own. Therefore the mix match of bits and colours. I plan to add other chapters colours to my army and putting the red "X" on them as recently captured. Kinda like Death watch but all stolen lol

Until a renegade codex comes out (praying for next year) then I'm sticking to Huron's Wolves and the SW codex.

If you look at my sig they are doing alot better as SW VVV
