So, long time no post.

I've been...not into 40k (though that may change soon)

in the meantime I've been working on commission's.

Hi guys.

I seem to always lead this with an apology for not posting.
Most of my painting has just not been 40k/30k orientated.

Stuff like Bloodbowl, Gaslands, Age of Sigmar the like.

That being said, I have a few things in the works that may change that.


In the meantime, I have been working on some Commission work...and for the time being this is where most of my 40k/30k progress is coming from.
In my last post, I put up a link to a bit bit of a teaser for a commission I'd been working on.

Well I have actually finished said commission, so without futher delay, I present to you

Covus Corax!

Honestly one of the most time consuming things was the Sons of Horus marine! XD

Also, Corax is the least fun to build. Those wings are fragile!

Excellent painting, I can only imagine it being a pain to build. I still have the Leman Russ to build but the pieces aren't going together for me lol. So I got it in pieces til another day I'm more patient.

Leman russ isn't too bad in comparison...his tussles were they worst, because they're too small to pin so they just fall off alot XD

Oh hey, didn't see you there!
So it has been a hot minute (only five months) since I posted anything.

So I haven't done any 30k/40k orientated hobby in quite some time.

This is largely down to
a ) not playing Heresy (yet)
and
b ) I really don't like 8th edition. I will give 9th a go, but I'm pretty sure it's fairly similar to 8th for the most part...

For the most part I've been doing other tabletop hobbies.

The client didn't want it to be too high of a standard, but really wanted to have some osl around the head/ face.
So this is where I ended up.

I do have a couple more things to post, but I've got to take some pictures first.

Another update for y'all.

I've actually finished a couple more commission projects, but before I share them across the social medias, I thought I'd post up some wip shots of them here!

Again, like Abaddon, not a Imperial thing, but here is a Great Unclean One that I got some paint on recently.

I'll post a bit more of him when I've sorted the pictures out.

The head and arms are magnatised so it can be swapped around at will.

Rapid update go!

The kind of overall vibe is meant to be...you know...Nurgle, but with a bit of a WW1 flavour.
Not really something you'll see in the GUO, but across the army in general.

They way it's represented here is with the censer emitting mustard gas instead of smoke/ fragrance.

Next post will be the finished thing!

Great Unclean One - Table Top-ish Standard

Tried a black background for a change.

I think the pictures came out pretty good.

I do have some on a white background too... I'll upload those and share them soon too!

The yellow gas is to emulate mustard gas (the army is meant to have a WW1 esq feel to it), but other than that it's pretty standard Nurgle.

The base is a little basic, but any additional details will be added by the client, so my hands are tied there.

Overall, for just under 18 hours I'm pretty happy with it.

Not much to say with this one, as it's the same as the previous post, but I find the difference in overall finish and feel from just changing the background is crazy

So, I've still mainly been painting none 40k stuff...

But I did get commissioned to do some two 30k Ultramarines HQ's

A nice break from my MOSSIVE commissions of late, so I dived right into them...

So here they are!






These will go from almost done to finished rapidly, so expect a new update soon!

Well, I posted the wip of the Ultramarines the other day.


These guys were painted to a low table top standard, with a little bit of extra effort in certain places....
I'm quite fond of the face of the bareheaded marine...I used a new recipe and I think it came out well!

The bases are just stand ins...they'll be re based by their owner

Truth be told these have been done and away for a while

I'll share the white background pictures when I get chance too.


It may be a while before you see anymore 40k stuff...unless ... ;)
