Box of models try get painted.  Just right now keeping my Bloodletter, Space Wolves Razorback & Deathwatch in this box for the moment.

I should have the other 15 Bloodletter painted over the next two weeks.  Then I think it just detail work like painting the Rune on the Daemonic blades. 

 

So my Call of Chaos models are getting there.  When I start paint that never a issue.  I just need to pick up a Rhino for my Daemonkin unit & get them built.

Update

 

So next week I've got a local tournament for charity ran by the DWARF gaming club.  I'm really looking forward to it as I've always had some great games, met lot really great people & it a wide range of diffrent armies & army list.

 

I though I'd get a new Predator painted for the event & also because I already have one vow for Call of Chaos.  Since I'd already had four Predator before, I want to (overall collection) to make them into squad/units thanks to the Traitor Hate book.  So making this one as sort of the commander, champion of one of the two units.  I also wanted to use some of the new plastic MkIII model

Also my brand new dice arrive yesterday & really like useing them in today game against the Nids.  Going to try get another few sets of these.

Was hoping have the Predator spray with Leadbelcher spray today.  But the Black undercaot was taken a while to dry before it got to late.  So get that done tomorrow.  Then try paint this model over the next few days so it ready for next Saturday.
While Warsmith Abhorred Riddick need fix & a few chip parts painted.  The bags all have MkIII part built just help out when I get around to build the models near my holidays.

Then box of models - Bit more painting done.  The second unit of Bloodletter is pretty much there.  Them & the first unit still need Chaos rune painted on the blade & few other finial part.  But there nearly complete.  Then this week & next week all about painting the finial 10 Bloodletter + the lone Bloodletter with Icon.  Then that a big part of my Call of Chaos vow painted.

I've got next Sunday off as well, which is going to be spent building the Daemonkin Marines.  I still need to buy a rhino transport for this unit & last thing to buy for my Call of Chaos vow.

So during Saturday there, DWARF held it yearly charity tournament Winter War.  But sadily I ended up not been able to make it.  I've been really ill since last Saturday & it been pretty bad during the week.  It only been yesterday that I was able to get some hobby done, first time during this & it really help as I was getting really tired & fed up off how bad TV really is from barely anything been on or program I like shown repeat of a Ep I've already seen for the millionth time.

 

So it been pretty frustrating & I am really gutted to miss out on the tournament on Saturday, really wanted to use those new Iron Warriors dice & just get a day of gaming with the Traitor Hate book.  But just happy been ok enough yesterday to get some painting done & here how the Predator looking.

I might add a Mechanicus trophy onto the Predator.  Same if I'm able to find the Dark Eldar Wrack spure, still trying to sort out things since the house had gas heating & general work been done last month.

Just need to get the Champion model, but I need to try find some of the Age of Sigmar Chaos spure for the weapon I want for the Champion.

Then the Daemonkin test model I painted last year (left) next to one of the new models, just wanting to try out the Mephiston Red spray to help speed up thing.  Just see what they both look like, slight change in the red.

Then spent a little bit of time today finial pushing forward with the Dreadclaw.  I want the Dreadclaw to look as though it crach into the ground, so need to try add few layer of green stuff.  Then I want to use a lot of the Forge World soot weather powder really try to show the pod as been really burnt.  Look that the Warhammer World Chaos vs Ultramarine display for a lot of idea with the amount Dreadclaw models in the Daemonkin side.

 

I'm hoping to get to my local Games Workshop store this week & get few pack of green stuff to try build this up.

I might get another Dreadclaw in the future, I'd like to get one to transport Helbrute about or maybe my Contemptor.  But right now just wanting to get this Dreadclaw ready for painting & maybe try get a few games during the holidays with the new unit of Melta arm Chosen.

 

I just need to try pick up the Rhino for my Daemonkin Marines, then that everything there for my Call of Chaos vows.  With a month & a day left.  I am getting there, but feel like a lot been getting in the way.

I want to try & get the second Renegade Knight painted during this week.  Try get him to the stage that both him & the first Renegade Knight are both ready for varnish.

My Bloodletter are getting there.  I'm hoping to get some painting done to half the third squad during this week.  I'm going to try spend this Sunday to get a lot models varnish & I think I've just for Chaos rune to paint on the Bloodletter blades as well.

Update

 

So first all.  Thursday there mark 15 year of collecting Iron Warriors for me.  When I got all the bitz I needed from my mail order to convert Warsmith Abhorred Riddick who been leading the 5th Grand Company for a great length of time.  To this day, the Marine version of Warsmith Abhorred Riddick sit on display along side the current Mk6 version of my Iron Warriors, once seen on this log & will be one keeping.

End of the day IV Legion are my favorite force & once I've always trusted when going to events & games.  End of the day Chaos faction has always been main one because of converting, cool art work & great background & just the whole look each legion has.

 

So on to update

 

Just been out for the first time in two weeks since been ill & gone to my local Games Workshop store to be told that there a diorama comp next week & that it has to be on the bigger circle base.  I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do.  But when I got home the answer was right there, my Dreadclaw which I've just spent a bit of time today getting the base built up & sand on it so I can try undercoat it tomorrow.

This also help with my Call of Chaos deadline as well.  So get this dreadclaw undercoated & leadbelcher spray tomorrow so I can paint the model during the week.

 

Finial 10 Bloodletter I'm current painting.  So this make it 60 Bloodletter in all that been painted since March & now.  For my Daemonkin army, right now main focuse has been on the Daemon side going to use the Bloodoath formation where Daemon unit get destroyed arrive back on a 4+, then you've got all those Daemons for summon though blood points.  I just need to get another Daemon Battle force to complete this formation & 2x Soul Grinder.

Finial - today Games Workshop show some future release with the next battle for Fenris series.

 

Needless to say I'm really happy with the new Arhiman model.  He really cool, the metal version was release on the month when I just started the hobby 20 year ago.  He always look cool.  I'm going to get the new version just to paint, no other reason other than he cool & that good enough to get any model that the end of the day.

Also really happy with the new Thasound Sons models.  I think Games Workshop done a really great job, there getting the time they need.  I'm really intrested to see why there 5x flamer in the unit more than anything else.

I'm also looking forward adding a few these as trophies base on my game vs Matt during Throne of Skulls April 2012.  He was a really great oppent, getting rematch that Throne of Skulls October 2012.  Shame I've not seen him since Nob 2012, he was really great person to talk to, each Throne of Skulls they attended they wanted to take one of the 9 Legion.

Again going buy a box these just to paint more than anything else.

Sadily I never mange to get any model varnish yesterday due to it been to the weather - Really misty.  So going have to wait until this weekend.

 

However did mange to undercaot the Dreadclaw & only mange to start painting today.  Only got a small amount time start painting, but I'm hoping to get a lot more work done tomorrow & need to have this model finish by Friday.  With my local Games Workshop store holding a diorama comp on the big base Archon & what my Dreadclaw on.

So I've just got to get a lot of weather done.  I'd like to get this model varnish on Thursday & then add Forge World soot weather powder on Friday, also possible spray some Chaos black undercaot (arm length away) near the top of the model to help add burnt look.

 

 

Also spent a few hour yesterday building these two model for the second unit of Siege Breacher.  I should hopeful get the rest of the parts during this week to get the other three Battle Brother & get them built this Sunday.

So trophy wise.  The model to the left has a Word Bearer trophy base on Matt game from Throne of Skulls Oct 2012.  While model to the right has a Nurgle Daemon Skull rep game vs Andy force & one I've been wanting to add trophy wise for a while - it thank to Age of Sigmar new Ork range for those bits.  While the Marine helmet possible going to be a Dark Angel or Salamander?  Not quite sure yet.

White Dwarf arrive today - Just during the weekend seem like a really great time to be a Chaos Marine hobbist, as always I collect the armies & add models I think look cool & can really care less about what the current "top" army is.  I find Eldar Warp Spider spam & Deathstar list exstramly dull & boring to game against & pretty hobby destroying.

Anyway so Saturday first saw the announcement of the new Thousand Sons range of models along side there Primarch Magnus.

Then later that day - Traitor Legion supplament which I am really looking forward to.  I've really enjoyed useing Traitor hate over the past few weeks.  I'm now really wanting to just get my copy of the Traitor Legion & get some games as soon as possible.  Got a few games arrange for after the release.

It'll be interesting to see what army wide rules the Iron Warriors will get & most all I'm always look for idea to build new models & units.  One thing I'd not mind is the return of Servo arm's.

After spend a few days painting, the Dreadclaw now fully painted. I've also got the two new models finish for Breacher Siege squad Thanatos Negaera led by Champion Dargron Valicar, fully painted & ready for gaming. I'm still waiting on a few parts to arrive so I can get the other three Battle Brother models built for this squad.

 

Like wise though I show my Iron Havoc theme unit of Havocs after using them in a game recently along side there Rhino transport with Havoc Launcher. I think after that game I want to try get a few more Rhinos in the near future with Havoc Launcher.

Yes, the Dreadclaw a really great model.  It a really nice model to build & it been fun to paint.  As said by PM, you should maybe look that adding one to your World Eater force Bio?  Or go all out for the Bloodoath formation where it the bigger pod with 20 Berzerker, count as Strength D when it land on a tank & you can assault the turn it arrive with those Berzerker :D

Thanks - The White Dwarf base on the issue that feature my army back in 2013, just like adding stuff like that & the Storm of Iron cover see if anyone notice.  My Armies on Parade board cover in them.  Had Chris from Black Library see my Space Wolves armies on parade board that Games Day & notice the Battle for the Fang covers.

 

So there pretty much mainly the old City Fight poster that Games Workshop use to do.  Other wise it just taken BL novel & scale the art work done & print them from your computer.

For these once I use double side tape due to time & worry as some time it can effect the colour.  PVA only been use on my Armies on Parade board to help them stick to the ground/sand.  But as said some of the colour go bit funny but for the AoP board they just got cover up with Blood for the Blood god.

 

So I'm hoping to spend a bit of time tomorrow conversion up a few more models & try to make a push to get a lot of my Call of Chaos vows ready for finish, varnish, etc...  I'll also get another two Siege Breacher Marine converted up tomorrow so there ready to paint during the week.  I think it just going to be the Autocannon Battle Brother from that squad that going have to wait until next week for that order & for Ork Skulls part to arrive as trophy.

Spent a bit of time tonight getting these two Chaos marine built & they will be painted this week.  It just the Autocannon arm Battle Brother that still need to get built.  Just my local store didn't have the Techpriest model so I could use the servo arm, so that should be arrive this weekend along side the new Wrath of Magnus book.

As seen with them & the other two Battle Brother models that where built last week.  I've been building them to look this way as it sort of a mark toward the mock up model Forge World had preview in the White Dwarf back in 2013 & I knew right away i wanted these Siege Breacher in my Chaos era Iron Warriors force.
While my first squad have more long pole chainsword/close combat weapon, try give both units there own little theme & stand apart from each other.

Both Chaos Knights have also got there Transfer added.  I just need to paint the ruin building on there base & add tuft grass.  I'm aim to get both models varnish on Sunday & get photo then.  So I'm almost there with my Call of Chaos vows.  Daemonkin Marines will get painted next week.

 

Also just got Issue 2 of Will of Iron comic, from Titan comic.  Bloodquest comic has been a big part in my Chaos collecting life with the amount of idea it given me for conversion,  Since WD give free copy of Will of Iron & IW show up as the main evil side, only seem right I got these comic.

Issue 2 saw this which was pretty cool.  I think he a Sorcerer, he read the bones for omens & sign, letting the Warsmith know of the coming battle & how it going to turn out.

Yes I'm wanting to try convert a Sorcerer like the one in the Will of Iron comic.  During the holidays (less than two week now!!!) I'm going plan what brand new models I want to add to my Iron Warriors.

 

I was thinking the IW heresy helmet & some stuff from the Night Lord range.

That the Predator tank all complete.  Once again was really gutted.  It was a month ago that I was planning on getting the model all painted for the DWARF Winter War, then ended up been badly ill for two weeks, but the first week meant I wasn't able to do anything.

So just happy to finial get the Predator finish now.  I just need one more & then that me got two squad of Predator tanks :D

More Battle Brother join the rank of my second Siege Breacher unit.  Both these models just got finish painted today with Blood for the blood god.  The Mechanicus trophy base on my game from Rapid Fire vs my friend Mech force, was a really great game, so I think any Mechanicus trophy like this will be on his own force.  I'll try get some blue one painted on another friends force.

So here the Daemonkin Marines.  I'm going to get there base all built tomorrow & get them undercaoted.  I'm also going to try get there Rhino built so I can start painting that during the week.  I think there less than two week left as well to complete my Call of Chaos vows.

Then both knight are pretty much there.  I'm going to varnish both models tomorrow.  Then it just go back & paint some part of the base.  I'm not sure if I will get time to add weather powder to them, see how it goes & if I get time during next weekend.........but with the release of Traitor Legion, lot my time going be taken reading the book page to page though out the weekend.

My Call of Chaos vows are almost there, the third unit of Bloodletter are ready for varnish.  I'd like to try get next Sunday set aside to quickly finish off any detail on my Call of Chaos vows.  But it all down to time that the moment as I'm trying to get a lot of other stuff finish before I start my holidays.

 

Traitor legion - Just saw Veterannoob post in the Rumour part of the forum.  While I am gutted I'll not be allow Mark of Khorne, Axe of Blind Fury & Mark of Nurgle.

I'm really happy with the Iron Warriors side of things.  Never expected or would ever have guess we'd get a 6+ Feel no pain

 

Also another one that interested me was that Black Legion are allow Terminator as Troops.  This is somthing I've waited three year for since there supplement was release.  Not that I need this to go forward, as seen from Throne of Skulls March with my Unbound IW Terminator list I took & was great fun.

It just it help push forward the Black Legion force.  As said this is what started me on the path of collecting Chaos Space Marines.  So I think I'm going to get a Hound of Abaddon theme Terminator force, while I wait & see if new plastic Chaos marine are release in the future.  I've got two packs of the Forge World Khorne Terminator upgrade that've been sitting there for three years & seem such a waste they sit there gather dust.

 

So somthing I'd like to try get done & finial get my Black Legion on the go.

I'm also temp by the World Eater one, with Khârn, lot of Berzerker & I think Havoc are allowed as long as they have Mark of Khorne.  Would be cool to make a unit inspired by Lheorvine Ukris & his 15th Fang Company/what left of the heavy support company from the Talons of Horus novel by ADB.

So this was how my painting station was with my own models.  With Call of Chaos reaching it deadline this Thursday.  I'm almost there, it just the Rhino need built & undercoated.

Only thing is, I don't think I'll be able to get any of my current models varnish.  Been bit rain/damp weather & I don't want any frost effect on my models when varnish them.  Autocannon Iron Warrior only had it happen to his base, before that my other models few week ago where ok before we had damp & frost weather during past few days/weeks.

Then my painting station today when I got back home, just get the Bloodletter & these two Daemonkin/World Eater Marine painted.  Got the Warhammer World sound track on my Ipod.  When you look around the display there music playing, each theme, Age of Sigmar, Imperial, Xenos & Blood Oath.  Anyone who been on the phone to Forge World & been on the waiting part, the whole music from that on this cd.  Then the one I listen to the most is the Blood Oath one, from the Chaos vs Ultramarine display.

Can only get this sound track that Warhammer World, I got it back in March?  Each song 15 min long.

This lot arrive yesterday as well.  Iron Circle model sort my own Christmas present (keep to that excuse).  Pretty much spend the 24th Dec painting him that my local store so I can get my own space, really like Christmas & boxing day it just because how busy they get & avoid tidy up the house more than anything.

 

Then another 2nd ed era Metal Chaos Dreadnought.  I'm going to have a look that White Dwarf 202 & few other older idea for some idea to try get bit conversion work.  I think this is the 5th Metal one I've got now.

Then today main release for me - Traitor Legion, along side Index Chaotic.  The index book been taken away as I order that on behalf my mum/toward my Christmas present.

 

I'm really happy with Traitor Legion.  Spent a lot of today reading the codex.  Few people that my local store collect Chaos pick up there copy & just really good bounce idea converting & gaming wise.  No internet list, just stuff we think cool & help give set things bit more of a edge.

It just one friend who not to happy with Night Lords..........it because one of the Relic is the Bat Wing helmets & they hate those Night Lord Helmet.  Sure made my day wind them up over that & over possible "plastic" Abaddon after all the work they done painting the Forge World Abaddon model.

Only thing is I'm bit gutted that Lord Narach Delau has loss his Mark of Khorne & Axe of Blind Fury.  But the new Siegebreaker Mace is really cool.  So thinking might give him this new relic from the IW list.  I'm still keep the axe, it will be along side my Iron Warriors display, in the Chaos rune it has "Watch the World Burn" song by Trivium, before Narach was painted for Throne of Skulls Oct.  I was that the Trivum, As I Lay Dying, Caliban & Upon a Buring body gig, really great gig & Truvim played that as well as filming it for the video.  Lord Narach right shoulder pad, all the rune where the first letter from each band as well.  Then that let onto a really great Throne of Skulls event the week after & a important one for my Iron Warriors history,

Lord Narch in the past, there been other version.  Just mean how he grown in my Iron Warrios history over the past 15 year now.  How important the Axe became when he went from a Champion in unit Chosen who where bodyguard to Warsmith Abhorred Riddick, to 2nd in command in the 3.5 era when he got his Axe, other version also had him with the Kai Gun upgrade

So onto the mace.  I'm not sure what one I'm going to go for.  I've just order the Made to Order 40k Priest model.  I've use this Mace before in past models before Power Weapons got different rules & Ap value because I though it was cool.  So this is one of the two chose, not sure which one to go for??

As always, going with the models I like, enjoy converting, painting & gaming with.  Same with collecting my Space Wolves, Ravenwing & any other army.  It more important to me to collect a army I enjoy, as well as have theme to each unit thanks to all the great games they've fought in.

 

With the Dreadclaw.  Pretty much it the Archon base, not sure the size, but it the £5 on the Games Workshop web site.  You do have to cut off two of the leg parts of the Dreadclaw.  Then it pretty much using lot super glue & plastic glue (on plastic drop pod part only), make sure there something there to hold the pod while all the glue drying.  Once that done, just case of building up the ground with green stuff &/or milliput, just something to build up the ground.

• Wanted the Dreadclaw show that it landed down/went into the earth.
• One reason, I was a bit worry the claw parts not been protected.  Just last thing I wanted was the paint to chip off due to set terrain or gaming board it would be use.  Wanted to use the base, only thing is the Dreadclaw claw parts are a bit bigger, so as why angle & cut off part models.
• Felt the sort of part you get to add onto the flying stand wasn't safe rep the pod flying.  Any time had Dreadclaw on this, was pretty quick to catch the model before it fallen onto the ground.  Again last thing you want is a game & someone bump the table only for the Pod fall & break.

Hopeful have a update later on today or tomorrow.  Call of Chaos vow is getting there.  Mange to get some varnish done.  But I doubt I will be able to get any weather powder added as I need a full day & I'm pretty busy right now until Friday when my holiday start.

Fab, many thanks. I was never keen on the flying stand as it's a disaster waiting to happen! I may have to have a go at similar. Its a good compromise between flying and grounded.

Call of Chaos update

 

With only a few days left for Call of Chaos.  My vows are almost complete.  First of all, I forgotten to take a photo of my Renegade Chaos Knight, I though I had taken the photo as the camera battery give up & replace it I put the model back.  So going to get photo of the Knight tomorrow.  I've just got two Daemonkin Marines left to paint.

Beyound that.  Few models like the Knights & Rhino I'm going have to call finish for the Call of Chaos deadline.  I don't really have time to get the weather powder & other bit detail I'd like to have on the models.  Just I'm trying to get a lot of stuff done that the moment so I can enjoy the start of my holidays this Friday.  So find time during the Christmas holidays & get all those last part done during then.

Daemonkin Rhino transport.  This had to be quickly done, built Sunday, shade yesterday & painted in a few hour today.  I don't have time add weather powder in time for the Call of Chaos deadline as there a lot to get done between now to Friday when I'm starting my Holidays.  I'm also going to add Ultramarine trophy when time permit & replace the hatch with a Daemonkin crew the Combi Bolter.

As said the Warhammer World display been a big help with idea toward any Chaos models.  I wanted to make my Mark of Khorne bit diffrent just to try show my warband.  But like Warhammer World, just use a stamp from sponge onto the hull.

I'm going back during my holidays to see weather powder & finial stuff I current don't have the time for.  Pretty much tomorrow really busy, Friday even though my holidays start there a LOT to get done, think it going to be like this until Tuesday.  Just I sort need a whole day to get weather powder added to the models.

But any hobby time I've got from Saturday I'm going to try get some cool new models added to my Space Wolves while I've got sort gap & time (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday been kept aside for hobby next week).

After Christmas I'm aim on adding another Dreadnought, try get somthing sort like this but not as daemonic.  I've got the Venerable Dreadnought kit from the Deathwatch vs Eldar box set I bought back on the release.  Then money permitting I might try pick up the Iron Clad Dreadnought on the 24th.

Update

 

I also recently got another Bloodthister model.  But this time I'm planning on converting the Bloodthister into a Daemon prince & try model some of the new Iron Warrior relics.  I've got a few idea how I want this model to end up.  Ether way I'm looking forward to getting the Bloodthister model made into a Daemon prince.

 

 

 

Again this has been inspired by the really cool Nurgle Daemon prince from the White Dwarf/Warhammer vision army of the month early in the year

It's actually the Blog of Maxime Pastourel, he sculpts for GW. He made some ork stuff and the new  prospero Ahriman among others. Met him at a convention, cool guy !
