Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company re-born - Army log

Yeah dude I'm gonna go for an all Custodian Grey Knight army and yeah you guessed it... Draigowing! I've looked at that before but like the idea of doing them using washes and cheating slightly. :P

Let me know about that Mordheim Turf as I'd really like to use it on my Grey Knights, could be done really well if I did it right.

Yes I'll let you know how the turft work out. Aim to get this on Sat asap, then try some of it in the afternoon on my Iron Warrior first squad. Need to get them finish as part of my local GW store painting pleadge. Already that chapter master, next phase for me is Emperor, don't want to be a smelly old spawn for those who miss out on them.

So be getting update on that asap.

So far I been really impress with the Eavy Metal Medium, really enjoy useing this on my IW for the shaven hair/beards/stubble, really really recommend this. If GW release this as single pots, it'll be like Badab Black to me, go though one pot of Badab Black per week.

I found cool looking gravel on eBay last night and with the turfs it would make my Custodes stand out and really bring the NMM out. I can see GW releasing it in future because if the demand for it is high enough then people will buy it.

I've use the helmets from the Bodyguard kit from Forge World for the Red Scorpian Librarian. I bought the Librarian last year for my Blood Angels force & because how cool he was. Oringaly I was save these bits for my future Black Templar army (new codex permit). But they just look really cool, just need to take ot the Red Scorpain icon from the helmets.

I like adding trophies to my armies. From the Iron Warriors to my Space Wolves. Just it great to mark down epic moment from a game & add theme to the army. My Space Wolves force, each model dose have there own Saga & that all down to the games I fought, the game I fought & enjoy have brought life to the SW army.

With the IW, collect for past ten year, I will be adding trophies base on past & present armies from games I really enjoy. Also I think it a crime not to give Chaos Marines trophies.

My Terminators are a little heavy on trophies as they are the Elite, they are the once who seek out single combat or glory combat for there Legion. They seek foe's that are worthy of a challenge.

The head has not been added yet. This is down to being a bare head & I want to get the shaven hair/stubble onto the model. So the head will be painted & then glue into the Terminators armour once it is finish, just so I can get all those detail in.

With the squad over all I still need to do

- Model the shoulder pads. I am added spike from the Grey Knight Ward staff or I am useing thin plastic rods for bolts along the trim of the shoulder pads

- Base, need to get plastic H beams & plastic tubes onto the base, then fill them with Green Stuff before I get some sand on them

- Servo Skulls, as said I'd like to get a few Servo skulls in this army.

So just a few things left before the unit ready for painting this Wed that my local GW store. Also need to varnish the Forge World parts before undercaoting, this help the paint/undercaot stick on better/key in. Then you can undercaot, paint,, varnish whole model.

I'll be green stuffing all the gaps before glue the arms & shoulder pads on. I'm also going to pick up a box of Fine Cast Raptors to make my life easy for converting his wings. I am going with the Jump Pack over the Wings model wise as it look more Iron Warrior & for carry the model/transport. As I have a Daemon Prince model with the plastic Dragon wings & no matter what they've alway broke off when I been useing my Daemon force. Somthing I do not want when take my Iron Warriors to the tournaments.

It been good building the Daemon Prince model so far as it is one my all time favrout models since his release & as why my Warsmith got swap from mortal fourm to Daemon Prince fourm.

So still lot of work to get done & there going to be a lot of work done to the base as well.

GW Turft Grass - Now I can finish both squads with the base. Alway get the static grass on the base, then varnish to help seal in any flock/grass. I look forward to trying out the Truft grass to add a bit more to my Iron Warriors force.

Blister - This is Bile backpack, ether going to try this out on the second Iron Warrior squad Champion or I might possible try useing bits from it on a Obliterator.

Abaddon finecast - Trophies going to be use on the 2nd IW unit Champion & other parts will be use on my Obliterators.

So right now I am planning on finish my second Rhino, get the inside painted & then get that all built. Tomorrow try get the conversion for my 2nd IW squad Champion done.

Like wise I have a Chaos Terminator lord box I bought a week ago? so I'll be trying another idea out for my Obliterators as I am unsure on my orignaly conversion I shown a while back.

Then this week try get some bits for my second Terminator unit & for more Obliterators. I'll also need to think about model some Object Marker soon as well. Then Christmas time, I will have my last squad of Chaos Marine along with there Rhino, these will have a Bezerker theme, but there not Khorne Bezerker, just IW who really like close combat, so just work out some idea in my head right now to make them stand out a little from the other two IW units.

Work has been a little slow on my IW last week due to being pretty ill. But now slow recovering I mange to get some time on the IW project. Here what I have so far

I am unsure on the orignaly Obliterators I posted up when I first started this project log. So right now I been trying diffrent idea, so far I been pretty happy with this new Obliterator. The Bile backpack brillaint to use & I order another two sets which I hope to get on the 24th Dec.

I'll also be pick up the finecast Techmarine for some bits for the next few Obliterators, there a total of four in my army.

I've also use some of the Ork Nobz kit for things like the armour plate on the right shoulder pad. While I am useing Terminators for the base of my Obliterators, I do not want them clash with my Terminators units in games. So though be a nice break up for the Obliterators & be nice to green stuff the morphing flesh between the armour plates.

The head is from the Forge World Khorne Bezerker terminator kit. It just look cool & has a Chaos star which is scar into his skin. Also the facemask has a daemonic look which fit in with the Obliterator. It will be glue into the armour once I got the metal work all done.

Should also add in. I'm being careful not to go to "over" the top with the weapons. It to easy to go a little over board to a point all focuse will purely be on the over the top parts. When I collect a army & on the building or painting front I try to aim that the focuse is on the whole model & not have one bits be way "over" the top.

With the next few Obliterators I will be adding a few more weapons, but as said not going over board with them.

I've just to add some green stuff around the arm's to help give this a bit of strength before I add the shoulder pads. I've also to pick up a box of Finecast Raptors for there jump packs & to make my life easy when it come to useing these to converst my Daemon Prince Wings. I'm going with Jump Pack over Wings model wise as it fit the Iron Warriors better in my view & also for transport, I found wings to be more of a issue.

Project - Iron

Right now I am aim on getting the Obliterator I just posted above all ready for painting on Wed when I go to my local GW store. If all gose well, then this will be great & given me a idea how I want my Obliterators to look model wise.

I'm aim to have the 22nd & 23rd of Dec as my own hobby time before the Christmas holidays take over with family, real life stuff & Assassin's Creed Revelations. Two days purely aim on building or/& painting my Iron Warriors. I'll be getting my Daemon Prince all finish building wise & both Rhinos for my 1st & 2nd Iron Warrior units along with all the plasticard work for the extra armour & Iron Warriors icons on the hatch. Also finish both IW units with the last bits of detail & make use of the new Games Workshop Trufts.

24th Dec I'll be aim to spend some time building up the rest of my Obliterators if my mail order arrive.

Then money permit, hoping to pick up my second Terminator unit & then pick up a box of Space Marines so I can make my Object marker as well.

That it for now, I'm going to try update this on the 24th or the 25th that the very least.

Just I am unsure on the banner I have already painted. I am temp to go for the dark blue as this really help the Red Chaos icon stand out more than it dose on the White.

Just the banner are going to be one of the main focuse point in the army. Offer a lot for freen hand & general looking cool. So once I've got some idea I'll be re-painting the banner I have.

Right now my aim to get the Obliterator all finish so he ready for undercaoting tomorrow. I'm also going to try get those banner started with the Chaos Icons. Then tomorrow I'll be working on my Rhinos with plasticard/styrene extra armour & Iron Warrior icons onto the hatch. Then Christmas will see my third Rhino unit of Chaos Marines, also seem I'll possible be getting a box of Raptors so my Warsmith/Daemon Prince will be converted during Christmas day before Assassin's Creed take up the best part of Christmas afternoon.

Update

Christmas has came & gone, hard to belive how these few days can be really busy. On the Iron Warriors, sadily I did not get much work on the Rhinos with the plasticard/styrene armour along with icon due to getting really bad headace.

However I mange to make up for this on work on other stuff for my IW. 24th Dec saw me buy the bulk of what I need for my conversion, also mange to get a single Obliterators painted.

While Christmas day it self saw me getting my finial unit, Chaos Battle force which give me enough models & bits for my third Chaos Marine unit in Rhino. Also got some finecast Raptors as I need there jump packs for my Daemon Prince/Warsmith.

WIP, they where painted in my local GW store a hour before I had to go & get my train. I want this third unit to be Combat heavy, like those in Storm of Iron where they are slow going to Khorne, but there not all out Bezerker like those of the World Eater. Like Death Company but with out the Black Rage if this make sence. So I'll be arm most with two close combat weapons being Chainsword & Chainaxe.

I'm also going to have a bit more blood on them, those who played Space Marine on PS3 or Xbox, that the sort of look after you slaughter a hoard of orks in the computer game.

Just I was not to happy with the orignaly Obliterator as he was to much Terminator. While I am useing Terminators as the base of my Obliterators, I want them to still stand out a bit & not led to confusion during the game as it all to easy to make mistake during the heat of the moment like in a tournament.

So I took of the top part of the orignaly Obliterator & as seen above there, replace the top part complete, I wanted to keep the base & the legs as painting wise & well for the base a lot of work went into them.

So right now I am happy with the new Obliterators as well as the one I shown a few days ago. Just fitted the image I had in my mind when I was thinking about converting them & from the art work in codex 3.5 show of the Obliterators.

That it for now. Next update should be Sat.

My Iron Warriors have been arrange for there first game in a while, it will be this Sat in my local GW store. So right now I got to build between tomorrow & Fri

+ Warsmith - Add Raptor Jump Packs

+ 2nd Terminator unit - Get them all built up. I might hold of painting & add trophies until I seen the new Undead models which was leak on warseer during Christmas.

+ 7 (?) Chaos Space Marines - 1x Champion, 2x Autocannons, 1x Icon, 1x Melta & then 2x Chaos Space Marines

+ 1 Rhino - Hope to spend some point tomorrow painting the inside of the Rhino before build it.

+ Rhinos in general - Still need to get the plasticard done, see how time is. I've got a lot of idea for Crusifed Space Marines for my Rhinos. One going to be Emperor Champion from the Black Templars who'll be part of my 3rd/new unit of Chaos Marines I shown above. While Unit 1 the first Iron Warriors unit I shown, they will get a Ultramarine from the 4th Company, thinking of haveing the Ultramarine look like he surive a ord blast only to be gun down by the Iron Warriors as they'd advance into Imperial lines.

Also need to try get some Object Marker done. Thinking for the d3+2 mission, have Black Templars with Chaos Icons from each chaos god, like my Mk5 IW army from 2008 - 2009.

Then I'll need to get a Object marker for Capture & Control? one object each which will be a Iron Warrior carry the all might Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company banner.

So be a lot of phone taken & possible some from the game.

The game ended in a win for my Iron Warriors, it was Kill Points spearhead set up & it was 8 vs 4 Kill points, the Blood Angels having just a Baal Predator tank left on the field by turn 5

Should be getting the Warsmith base tomorrow. Trophie wise, the Eldar helmet will rep my friend & fellow ex-staff memeber who I work with in GW back in 2008 Andy & his Eldar. Base on our game during the ELG tournament in 2008. While the Ork rep a local gamer that my wargaming club. Space Marine helmet I'm unsure which chapter I want to base it on right now, my IW have fought many over the past ten years!! :lol:

The Jump Packs from Raptor set. Finecast is the best. It made my life easy when converting & amonut of none damnge bits. While it if was metal, would ment saw up the back pack. Finecast only took me a mere few min to get those Jump Pack cut & then added onto my Warsmith.

3rd Iron squad, with Champion & Melta IW. Once I get those bits, this unit will be finish as soon as possible.

- Is now ready for undercaoting. I think I'll be painting my Daemon Prince Abhorred on Wed so that way I finial got my HQ done & also because the metal Daemon Prince is one of my all time favrout models, the detail on him brillaint.

- I'm waiting to see what the new Undead models are like before I finish building this unit & I to paint strip some metal Iron Warrior helmets.

Chaos Squad 1: Iupatus Proeliator

- Finish, just banner to paint. I might replace one model. Squad 2 & 3 have had IW with a scanner type thing on there backpack useing the Undead Skull with bionics, though be nice to have this though out my army but I'll get that conversion done that a later time.

Chaos Squad 2: Be Graphicus

- Just a Autocannon IW to convert up & the Icon to still finish off painting wise.

Chaos Squad 3: Apocalypse

- Recently show there, as said just waiting on some bits

- Just need to varnish the Two Obliterator for this unit

- Extra Armour just need to be finish & to get Icon on the Rhino hatch. I've also to still convert up the two crusifed Space Marines. It'll be a Ultramarine from the 4th Company, while the other will be a Black Templars Emperor Champion or Captain.

I've alway like the metal Daemon Prince model, one of my favrout models along with the Limited Ed Emperor Champion, among many more. Even before 3.5 codex came out many year ago I was lucky to get the Daemon Prince model pre-release from a friend who attend Games Day. Since them my Warsmith went from mortal to Daemon Prince purely because how cool the model is.

Still a lot to be done on the painting front.

Like my Warsmith, still a lot to be done painting wise. For the Rhino all the extra armour & icon are made from plasticard or styrene, I done a NQ to HND model making course in Glasgow & alway aim to bring in element from the course into the hobby. I've went for extra on the front & back armour as well, in my view Iron Warriors use these are seige ram just as much as transport to carry the elite squad of Chaos Marines.

The crusifed Space Marine from the Ultramarine 4th Company (hope Graham McNeill dose not mind :) ). This will be one of the two crusifed Space Marines. The aim for the Ultramarine was to have it as though he live though a bombardment, well apart from lossing his legs. Squad 1: Iupatus Proeliator saw him, use the bolter to kill the Ultramarine & then add the Ultramarine as a trophie.

As said in past post, the next one will be a Black Templars, possible a Emperor Champion base on my own Black Templar force (been agies).

Also note on the trophies. I got the Novemarine (?) which is base on my friend Euan Space Marine force. While the Eldar are base on my friend & fellow Games Workshop staffer back in 2008, Andy

As well as the Eldar helmet on the Rhino. I have the Farseer as a trophie on my Warsmith.

Also just got a lot of spare bits from people today to help out to finish my Iron Warriors force. It mainly parts to convert up the last five Chaos Marines, four for my Third Chaos unit & then the last one for my Second Chaos unit arm with the Autocannon. Just need to wait on my mail order to arrive, order some Imperial Battlefleet Gothic ship (plastic) for some bits & to start a third BFG fleet.

Also my Iron Warriors will now be going to Throne of Skulls April, just bought my ticket yesterday & hopeful it'll arrive in the next few days!

Going to try spend the next few days getting the Rhino all ready & build the last few Chaos Marines for both 2nd & 3rd Chaos Marine units. Hopeful get everthing to the undercaot stage soon.

They are looking good IP, just one question though. Where did you get the pouches on the belts/backpacks of your marines? I know the Chaos Space Marines sprue has those pistol holster bits but what about the little individual pouches?

For the picket/pouches, there pretty much Ork range (Ork Boyz or Ork Nobz box sets), Kroot (knife are also use from this kit) & the Vampire Count Grave Guard set. Some might be from the finecast Abaddon.

Just look better than the once the Space Marine set get. I use a lot of these in my Space Wolves force as well.

Little quick update.

My Iron Warriors are near fully built now. With a mere two Chaos Marines which still need to be started, to my unit of Terminators waiting on some bits & find the time to make my Object Marker.

Some of the parts are thing like the Skulls from the Beastmen Ghorgon/Cygor model release a while ago. A few friends had pick these up for there beastmen army & give me some of the spare skulls, which I use some on the Autocannon backpack.

Hope to use trophies like this (human body on the spike) on the second Terminator unit, if not then I'm sure my Rhinos would not mind some more cool trophies. A friend has said they'll be given me this part when they start there Undead army as a thank you for all the help I have given them toward there Blood Angel army.

Also I'll be hold off my 3rd squad Apocalypse Champion. Though he is made, I might make some changies. Part of this is to do with the recent Forge World newsletter, which show a Minatour Chplain (from Badab Wars books?)

I would like to use this helmet on the Champion. As said when I shown 3rd squad - Apocalypse, they are ment to be like the Iron Warriors from Storm of Iron, those who are slow going toward Khorne, but not all out Khorne Bezerker like the World Eater.

Just need to find out when this model will be release.

Next update should be Sat. I'm going to take a photo of my Iron Warriors that my local GW as by then they should be built & undercaoted or that least built :( Then it to get everthing painted for Throne of Skulls April.

Update

Some time when working on a army, it good to take a few moment to check how everthing going & see where the project is going. Today I mange to get some time to take the photo of my 1500pts force that my local GW store.

Since these photos where taken. I mange to buy a few bits & also some parts arrive in the post. This has allowed me to finish building my Iron Warriors force to 1500pts. Just have the object marker left to build.

As said since these photos where taken. I mange to ether buy the last few bits I needed & some parts arrive in the post today. This has allowed me to finish building the second Terminator unit & the last Chaos Space Marine for the 3rd unit of Iron Warriors.

I'll be spend tomorrow undercaoting the new models along with the Rhinos. Then spend the next few days getting the models up to the wash stage. Just this will allow me to paint the models when my own hobby time permits.

It will just be the Champion 3rd Iron squad who will not be undercaoted, waiting on the release of the Forge World Chaplain shown a few week back in there newsletter.

I'm also going to need to get my Object marker made soon. I am still working on idea, I want to keep with the Chaos icon that have been stab though the fallen Black Templars, as background wise it would try show my Iron Warriors trying to turn this world they are attack intoa daemonic world.

But just thinking what else to add to the base since there a lot of space.

Just a little bit of a quick update.

I've spent best part of today that my local GW store getting as much of my Iron Warriors project painted as possible

Since I have painted the inside of the Rhinos. I though be cool to have somthing for the hatch area. So today I added the Iron Warriors motto "Iron Within, Iron Without" & then a list of battles my Iron Warriors have taken part in like Medusa V in 2006 or the 13th Black Crusade which many veteran gamers will know all to well.

With the other Rhinos I will be doing the same idea, but diffrent lay outs & if the Chaos Star icon show up in the photo, this will be base upon each of the unit squad marking.

Apart from the Black Templar, the Daemon Prince - Warsmith Warsmith Abhorred Riddick has been finish. Happy with how he has turn out & really like useing both type of Games Workshop turfts. With the turft (or any static grass) it worth useing Super Glue for this & varnish the models. Just the heat from these dry, think of it like a Ballon that been static electricity. Just these make the turft grass stand up better.

My second unit of Terminators. These where finish on Sat afternoon as the bits I needed arrive sooner than I though. It the Red Scorpain Honour Guard helmet from Forge World (Librarian Loth? kit). I really like these Helmets & hope Forge World release these in the future as a set by them selfs like the other armour sets they release over the past while.

Fit in really well with the Iron Warriors. I'm going to be painting this unit next week if all gose to plan.

Four of the five Object marker I am making for the d3+ 2 Object base mission from the rule book. Each of these will be base on a Chaos God, just got the bits to make the Undivided marker today. Idea is each Templar has been scarifce to the Chaos gods to try turn the planet into a Daemonic world, to let the IW run free in term of the way they can turn it into a fortress world or somthing along those lines.

I'll also be making a Object marker for Capture & Control. This will be a Iron Warriors who will be carry my Grand Company banner. Just need to find a spare Warrior of Chaos Banner to make the conversion.

Then since Sat there, my army as it current stand after spend Sunday undercaot models that where recently fully built

Tend to keep new armies in a box like thise while I am working/painting them. Just allow me to keep a overall view of the army, what need to be done, what finish & general see how the army look over all. Also while building, make sure I do not make double of the same model/conversion.

If anyone spot the Emperor Champion, he will be for a future project. Black Templars like my Iron Warriors, is a army I collected for a long time, infact since the 25th Limited Ed Emperor Champion was release (1999?), all due to how cool the model is. So when the Templar are release (?) I'll be starting a fifth Templar force as another tournament force, also it been five year since I fought useing the Templar. My painting skills have change a lot since then & also Games Workshop release a lot of cool models over the years for conversion.

So that it for now. I'll be spend some spare time this week to finish off the 3rd Iron Warriors units. If thise gose to plans then I'll spend a bit during the weekend to paint my two Rhinos.

I'll also have my Object marker made for the d3+2 mission, set.

There still a few bits to finish off. The Banner still need Chaos Rune on the back bit. While the unit overall, as said in past update I want this unit to slow be going toward the path of Khorne, sort of why they have the two Close Combat weapon on most of the Chaos Marines. For this I want to add some blood that been splater from a recent kill, for those who have played the Space Marine computer game it'll pretty much be like that.

But I'll be testing out on a spare model before painting this onto the unit.

The banner is currently a work in progress, which will see a Plasticard Iron Warrior icon & few other bit of detail. But that'll also be painted by it self just to get more spare & then glue onto the object marker.

For the Object marker, he'll be the Iron Warriors who will carry my Grand Company Banner into battle - in capture & control mission.

I'll be getting the model undercaoted later today & when I got some spare time try to get this Object marker up to the wash stage.

With the army almost done for 1500pts. I'll be aim to add another 250pts to this force as a few of the local tournament area here are 1750pts. For this I'll be added two more Obliterators for the fire support & because I like the model/units & enjoy the conversion work done recently. Then I'll be added a five man Chaos Marine unit with Icon & Plasma Gun, this unit will be looking after my Object or given support in kill points.

So far all I got left to paint in my 1500pts force is

- 4x Terminators

- 2x Rhinos. One of these is currently being painted this week

- Object marker

- Champion for 3rd unit, when the Chaplain model from FW is release.

I'm going to try get another army photos on Sat when I am in my local GW store. Also look like my Iron Warriors since this new version, will have it third game against Space Wolves this week. If the oppent ok I'll get some photos during the game.

With the order arrive today, I'll get some time later this afternoon to get the banner converted up. Got a few idea from the FW stuff, to adding a plasticard/styrene Iron Warriors icon.

Also mange to get two of my Rhinos painted up, still got a lot to paint before these are fully painted

While the first Rhino I painted for my 1st Iron squad - Iupatus Proeliator need to be finish for tomorrow. My local GW store running a painting pledge & I chosen to get my Rhino ready for this month. Just need to paint the human head on the trophies rack & it should be finish for tomorrow as well as the Dire Avenger helmet which is base on my friend Andy Eldar base on the battle from ELG 40k Radio World Wide War & as said due to both of us work for Games Workshop a few years ago.

I've also spent some time trying to get the last Obliterators for my 1500pts force finish.

I've replace one of the finecast Techmarine arm I orignaly had, it had a chainsword. This has been replace with one of the arm's from the Bile backpack. Just felt it look cooler & also the techmarine arm broke off recently.

So hopeful get this Obliterators base (static grass & turft grass) & varnish on Sunday.

I was orignaly going to wait until FW release that Chaplain model. But if there one thing, I am not a fan of waiting. So I'm just going to get the Champion painted & if the Forge World model is release by Throne of Skulls April time, then I'll replace the head with the FW Chaplain helmet.

I wanted to try a diffrent conversion for Bionics. The Bionics are from the Space Marine helmet from the Space Marine Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer set place onto a T face Bezerker helmet. I also wanted to use that last Forge World Bionic arm on a Chaos Marine.

Right now I am just gather the bits so I can get ready to move onto the extra 250pts to bring my force to 1750pts. Going to try spend tomorrow finish painting both Rhinos. Later today try get the Capture & Control object marker finish conversion wise.

I think tomorrow or next Sat I will try get another photo of the whole 1500pts force to show how the army looking since last time.

Also my Iron Warriors have had there third game since I started this version of the force. Was against Space Wolves, Capture & Control, Dawn of War. Was happy not to get spearhead set up as it seem to be the one mission set up that I been getting a lot since last year & it become the bane of my life.

But the game was good vs the Space Wolves, ended in a Draw, barely anything left on the gaming table & both me & the oppent have learnt a lot from the game. So far that been a win against Blood Angels in Kill Points, a loss to Orks in d3+2 object marker & a draw in capture & control against Space Wolves.

Also I've spent some time re-working the banners once more, change the yellow & black strip to the back of the banner instead of the front. Spent a bit of time today painting these.

Still a lot to go. On the back of the banner, in the blue area I want to add parts of a Chaos star. While on the front I want to add planets, ment to be shown Chaos over taken a world or somthing like that.

Since the last update with the model. I've re-position the head so it is looking more to the left. This is so the banner would not cover the face/helmet. Also it look cooler.

Like the banner above, this banner was painted a few moment ago.

So tomorrow I'll be aim to paint my last unit for my 1500pts, the second unit of Chaos Terminators. Once there down it just object marker & Rhinos crews. I got my first Rhino all finish for my local GW store painting pledge. So now I up the challenge, by the end of Feb I want to get my Iron Warriors 1500pts force fully painted. The deadline the 25th Feb, the day that will mark 25 year of Warhammer 40,000.

A few bits have been arrive for my extra 250pts to bring the force to 1750pts. Still got a bit more before I will start on this

Also I will need to start thinking of names for my Champions. All my units have names. Just you can't go about with a faceless army, more so with a force I collected for near half of my life.

When I get my hands on the Iron Warrior Omnibus I'll be aim to read though all this again, from the classic Storm of Iron to the new short stories.

The Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company will be getting a re-match against the Blood Angels I fought against on the 31st Dec. So I'll be aim to try take my camera & try see if I am able to get another photo of my whole army as it currently stand.
