Second Wyvren bought today along with Tuft grass (since release really like useing this & would never go back to static grass) & today White Dwarf.
While Forge World - Iron Warriors helmets & brass etch where pick up for me when I my friend was in Warhammer World.

 

I'll get the Wyvren built tomorrow so that ready paint on Wed along with the fourth Sentinel model.

 

Then WIP XV Legion Sorcerer.  Spent a little bit time painting the Sorcerer today.  Still a lot to get painted, just wanted to get a rough idea how I wanted this model to look.

So hopeful aim get him finish next Saturday.  I'm going to check out few army logs like Aasfresser just get a few idea

My Chaos Guards - Thorakitai (Angels Exterminatius Horus Heresy novel) Leman Russ.  There almost there, just need to drill out the Heavy Bolter.  Blood for the Blood god added just for bit colour & tie in/while style/warfare of the IV Legion.

Should hopeful have them finish tomorrow & my first Call of Chaos vow complete :D

So as said this week pretty much getting as much of my Chaos Guard army painted.  I'm also aim to get the finial Wyvren model bought next weekend as well just to have my army that 1850pts & ready for gaming after a few local tournament have been.  Then look into adding units from Armour 13 Lost & the Damned.

 

Then aim go back to Dark Mechanicus, still struggle with a list but I'll get somthing sorted soon.

Update

 

Just spent today painting the fourth Sentinel model & second Wyvren for my Chaos Guards.  I've still to add Forge World weather powder to the Wyvren & get the crew sorted for the unit.  Hopeful going to buy the third Wyvren this weekend meaning my Chaos Guards will be ready for a few games that 1850pts, just got that & as said the crew convert up.

• Wyvren:  Finial model I need for my 1850pts list for my Chaos Guards.  Try get there first game around Novemeber time.  Just happy to see the 1850pts finial complete.  Now I can aim get the Dark Mechanicus hopeful complete by Christmas holidays, though still working out a army list for them.  I will be adding to the Chaos Guards in the future with cool new models from both codex Guards & Armour 13: Lost & the Damned.
• Mechanicus Ranger/Vanguard:  Going to use a few models as crew for the Wyvren, as the spotter/given order, while Chaos Guards are the once who deal with the gun/weapon.  I'm going to paint them bit diffrent from my Dark Mechanicus once show in this topic.  Try show a diffrent order/part of this Mechanicus force.  Also just to red robes on the camoflaught wyvrens.  I'm also wanting to try & use transfer on them.
• White Dwarf:  Always enjoy pick up WD & get idea/cool hobby.

 

Note - Flash seem came out a bit stronger.  I'll try get new photos some point tomorrow.  I'm going to look for idea/somthing to add to the robes just break up the colours?  I want to try add some rune letter some sort or maybe try some text on one of the shoulder pads.  I'm re-reading Talons of Horus just to get some idea's.  But he pretty much there & soon to be another Call of Chaos vow complete

So this week going to be aim that painting a second Dune walker (not sure there complete names) for my Dark Mechanichs, that I bought a few weeks back.

Following week will be the Mechanicus crew for the Wyvrens.

Then I've got a few models add to my Iron Warriors for Rapid Fire.

The sorceror looks good. I see what you mean about the robes needing something. Maybe something like the Inperial Librarians have with the banding around the bottoms of the robes?

Just happy to gotten the last model I need to get my Chaos Guards that 1850pts & just get some games in a few month time.  As said this has been a long over due army & felt it was getting to the stage if I didn't get it done now, doubt it would ever have happen that all :(  But happy I've gotten it all done & Call of Chaos help push that forward.

Skarbrand does look cool.  I might add him in the future, just that way because I've just added a second & cool Bloodthister model to my army.  Also due to hobby fund.  Pretty much after this lot I'm save up now for Rapid Fire & a few other Forge World stuff - Khorne upgrade body/pads & the Rhino doors for exsample.

 

Aye that was somthing I was thinking about was painting a band of some sort on the robes help break it up.

Update

 

Been little bit busy during the past few days between real life stuff & free time spent on a recent game I bought during weekend (seen last update).
But I've mange to get the Wyvren built during Sunday. Then today was spent undercaoting, use GW basecoat spray paint & the GW spray gun/paint the grey. Follow by the wash stage & battle damage phase. I'm hoping get a bit free time during the weekend to build the crew & hopeful get a bit more painting time toward the Wyvren but one or the other might need to be push back due to work being done in the house during the weekend & just a few other stuff needing to be finish before end of next week.

However I've got the Dune Walker (?) for my Dark Mechanicus which will be painted during tomorrow.

My Forge World order for Breacher arrive today.  One of them going toward part to convert a new Melta arm model for a current unit.  Just update, cool conversion idea.  Going add some trophies base on a few epic games, like Thursday just there against Imperial Guards which saw 7 models (adding both armies) lefts.  The melta arm model he replace will still be about & possible added to my second Siege Breacher squad.

One thing I'd like to try, since I'm planning put my models onto 32mm base, is try add a damage Knight mask to tie in with a few games my Iron Warriors have fought & how well my models have done battle them.

 

Terminator - Another model who will be join my force for Rapid Fire in a few week time & as always possible going to be my model before event to paint up.  Thing bring Lord Narach unit of Terminator bodyguard to ten models & just over 25 Terminators in my Iron Warriors force so far.

 

White Dwarf - As always just enjoy pick up weekly copy.

As said in post before this - I've been thinking about rebase my Iron Warriors (Power Armour models) into 32mm base.  After talk to friends & with a few them switch to that or useing them for there brand new armies.  Just talk about it & comment how my IW would suit the 32mm base.
I've already use them on my Berzerker unit.

Pretty much I'm still keeping the base my models are on.  I;ve spent a lot time & lot bitz onto them.  So I'm planning on cutting the edge of the 25(?)mm base.  Glue them onto the 32mm base & then just fill around them with green stuff & add sand.  Get them painted, tuft grass & varnish once there all done.

There also two mini-Khorne shield there (thanks Bio) that going to help finish the Berzerker unit since two Battle Brother don't have them.  The 32mm base with the two squads who'll be getting them.

Be honsty right now only unpainted models for my IW's are the crew for the Wyvrens.  My Space Wolves have a squad of Grey Hunter I'm needing to build & Ravenwing just have a Chaplain conversion needing done/

As said before just never keen on useing unpainted models in games.  Somthing about that at off putting for me & any armies I collect.

Both Forge World model masterclass books are great & any hobbiest should buy them.  I'm looking forward to the Horus Heresy masterclass book be release soon which was preview that a Forge World event earily this year.

Just this has been somthing I've though about since the 32mm base where brought out.  I've use them on the Berzerker & my unit of Raptors as well as a few HQ models.  It has been somthing that the back of my mind I've though about adding to my army.

 

When talk to friends on Saturday, just talk about the base & everyone commented how my Iron Warriors (Power Armour) models look really balance on the 32mm base.  Just vision wise as well.  As well as given a bit more room - see First Blood marker for exsample with the Iron Warrior standing over a slay Imperial Fist - In fact just found it while search for somthing, this was WIP photo take back in Feb/March as a hobby challenge from dosjetka

The Knight part on the base - As always, base on games I've fought since Throne of Skulls March last year, DWARF Winter War in Novemeber & then the bigger game with Primarch + Knights.

Yes, the 32mm base where release last year with the Blood Angels release.  Also yes, it up to you if you wish to put your models on 32mm base/no one force you to if you don't want to use them.

 

Just I want to use them because it give little bit more space & when seen my models sort give a nice balance/with the Iron Warriors conversion been bulk out with all the gear & trophies it dosn't look odd or out place as seen with the Melta arm model in yesterday update.

Just somthing I've been thinking about since last year & as said my Berzerker unit & Raptors got those base.  Raptors are very well balance on those base.

Thanks Uveron - I'm hoping get a hour spare some point today (lunch time or later on) to try get a few these base made.  If I can do that & have them ready for Friday.  Then start moving the models onto there new base during the weekend after a few games - got a game arrange against Necron's & Daemonkin.  See how my unit of Terminators with Lord Narach & Sorcerer Nârik Gharrok will do this time, as quote below was from out last game in May & just really great fun.  One of many favrout games in my IW history & why I add trophies to rememeber these cool games.

 

Also though I show (photo taken by mobile phone) game I had on Saturday vs my friend Daemonkin army 1875pts.

 

Game ended 6pts v 3pts for the Daemonkin in big guns never tier.

Just this was a epic moment for me when Lord Narach Delau, Sorcerer Nârik Gharrok, Herald of the 5th Grand Company with squad (Terminators) Proeliator led by Sevatar Rauth where in combat from turn 3 (oppent turn, I went first) after arrive by deep strike until finial turn 5 (due time). With just Sorcerer Nârik Gharrok being the last out of the unit to still be there & on a single wound.

 

Pretty much

- Lord Narach had slay the Daemonkin Lord in a Challenge, only for them to turn into a Bloodthirster (let them borrow my model)

- Then it was Lord Narach vs a Bloodthister in a challenge. Made over 14 Inv save & those he failed, he made 7 feel no pain, but in the end the Axe of Blind Fury had forsaken me in the last two round combat

- In combat there was

- Unit of Berzerker (left over after Combi Plasma the unit when my unit arrive by deep strike)

- Unit of Cultist

- Unit of Bloodletter

- Unit of Bloodcrusher

- Second Bloodthister who'd shown up from blood point after the photo was taken.

- Bloodthister from slay Lord from there relic axe who was on two wounds by turn 5. Daemonkin use point for feel no pain.

 

Endurance psychic power was a big help for me from Bio. Just gutted I could never get Force for the Sorcerer due to my dice rolling

 

The photo was taken around turn 4, as said before the second Bloodthister arrive, some models are hidden due to terrain. Was just really cool. While else where there was on going combat (turn 2-5) with single Obliterator vs Possessed.

While my other squad of Obliterators held a bridge & object vs few units like Raptors trying to get that object.

A lone Terminators (second squad) holding up the Bloodcrusher for a little bit make 20 armour save in one round combat before falling.
