No photobucket - I don't want the spam ad, I don't want the red X on the my photos because there not loading properly due to the spam ad slow everything down.  All I'd like is for little to no hassle to get photos uploaded!!!!  It taken about a hour & a half to get this far!!!!!

 

So yes it been bit frustrating trying sort photobucket.  I'm not really a tech person, my lap top not even a year old.  Just photobucket seem to be the only web site that cause problem & there seem to be a LOT more spam ad's than normal :(

After this Predator get finish.  As said I'm looking to add a few Relic Predators to my Iron Warriors.  So one will be the Ap3 Autocannon, another will be the Plasma Cannon & the finial one will be the flamer version.  Just somthing bit diffrent & just try show how my warband still have these tanks from the Heresy, still part of my Grand Company force.

 

Shadow Wars

 

I've been looking for a few idea for my Champion.  I found this art work while searching goggle.  Sadly I don't know who art work it is (really sorry, if anyone know I'd edit in).

Just I'm thinking of converting the IW MkII helmet with those sort of tusk.  Just one source of idea has been the Lord of the Ring Weta workshop design - see the exstended DVD, in the past.  Just this art work remind me a lot of the weta design.

 

So I'm just waiting on parts to arrive for the Champion & part to arrive for the Autocannon Iron Warrior for the moment.  Due to the Eater holidays cause a bit delay.  But both models should be ready before the Campaign start in a week & a half time.

But for the time been - Here the Flamer Battle Brother for the Shadow War force.  I just need to add a camera to his backpack from the Mehcanicus backpack I;ve got spare.  Then he ready to get undercaoted along side the Bolter arm IW I shown in the last update.  Taken on a few idea from the Forgefane unit I converted up in 2015 around Christmas time with the jaw part from the Lizermen temple guards,

Finial - Was that a gaming event today.  It was really great fun, I had three great games.  My friend got Best Army for his really cool brand new Drop pod Marine force.  I got 2nd place for my Vindicator in the tank comp, 3rd place for my Havoc squad in the unit comp.

 

Finial - Like Warhammer World events, you pick one person from your games during the day as your favorite opponent.  Could be because of there list, look of there army, them as a opponent, great epic game.  Pretty much what every made the game the best you've had.
Seem myself & another person during the events got a lot of votes, both of us getting Sporting opponent which is really cool.

 

Had three great games against - Mechanicus, Space Wolves & Space Marines.  Took a few units I've not use in a while like my Heldrake & though I'd tale Cultist as it a unit I don't use to often in games.  If anything, the cultist surprise me.  Game 1 they held onto a object turn 5 in the open with just three models.  Game 2, Thunder Wolves failed a charge against them, I got one overwatch from a autopistol which also wounded, the Space Wolf player taken the save on his lord, which he failed!!! 

 

A friend gaming table next to us already getting bit anger as last time I use cultist before this event, was against them when I won a round combat & wipe out his unit of Ravenwing Knights.

I would like added photos of some Forge World stuff I gotten recently, but as said photobucket been bit annoying & after a great day gaming & been pretty tired (travel since 7.15am, got home 8.30pm), I just don't have the tolerance to deal with it that the moment.

 

Pretty much got a few stuff to convert up my Chaos Cultsit (Chaos Guards) for Shadow War.  I've also got a few Nurgle Rhino doors, getting ready for there release which I'm hoping pretty soon with 8th ed 40k.

I think I've mange to get the photos sorted, but photobucket still has a lot of problem with spam ad's.

 

I'm still getting use to the new camera - lighting maybe off.  Hopeful get camera I've use though out the log fix soon, it just been down to time & trying to find a reliable place.

 

So here the first two Shadow Wars: Armageddon force.  Both of these models just got painted today.  Going to get tuft grass added tomorrow & get both models varnish.  Then it just get last bit detail painted/finish during the weekend.

Still waiting on parts to arrive for the Champion & Autocannon arm Iron Warrior.  I'm hoping they arrive tomorrow.  Also get the rule book for Shadow Wars order this weekend.

Spent a bit of time on Monday (recovering from a gig - Bury Tomorrow, Crossfaith, Any Given Day) getting some weather powder added onto the Predator.  Again going to get the last bit of detail painted during the weekend.

With 7th ed 40k coming to a end & start of 8th ed 40k some point in the next few weeks or month.  I general use this time to get a few armies, models & list a sort of send of to a edition that I've not use for a while.  So two week ago was useing my Ravenwing as it'd been about a year since I last use them in a game & for the first time useing the Ravenwing psychic power.

 

While this week going to be my Chaos Guards.  Again it been about a year since I last use them in a game.  I'm really looking forward to this.

Both armies will get new models & units added some point this year.  Just right now my focuse has been - Always on my Iron Warriors.  Getting my Space Wolves up to date with Curse of the Wulfen.  I'm really wanting to push forward once more with my Dark Mechanicus as there not to many models left to add, but that way it been on/off, like the Chaos Guard army was during 2012 to 2015.

 

I think for future models I want to try add

- More Leman Russ

- Another unit of Wyvrens

- Rough Rider useing the Death Korp models

- Have a look that Armour 13: Lost & the Damned to check out some of the other units & try some list from the book.  Allow me mix in some of my Mechanicus models as well.

So yesterday was really great, with the announcement for 8th ed Warhammer 40,000.  I'm really looking forward to this & where the story line going to go.

 

So just spent Friday getting the Autocannon IW & yesterday later afternoon getting the Champion model built for Shadow War.  I just need to add bit green stuff to the Autocannon arm IW shoulder pad & get both models base, get both models painted on Friday.

Also got my Shadow War: Armageddon book order, so hopeful get some of the Cultist ready for painting the following week.

I'm quickly jump back to my Dark Mechanicus army, like my Guards.  This army sort been on/off over the past two years.  In fact they started this time yesterday in 2015 (thank facebook remind me that).

 

Like my Chaos Guards, it is starting get a bit frustrating.  As it stand, this is the only army really need to get it list finish/ready for gaming.  All I have left, after finding one of these boxies & buy the other yesterday.  It another two of these for the formation.  Dunecralwer to complete the squad.  Then a box of Servitor.

 

While 8th ed might change the list army list work & way codex are.  I'd still like to get this done & it mean complete my second army this year, other one off none 40k.

I've got Friday off, so get the Champion & Autocannon arm IW painted during then   As well as build the Mechanicus models I have.

 

With the Knight mask, just after adding them to my Vindicator last year.  Want to try add a few them to future tanks & there base on the Knights I fought during Throne of Skulls.  I'll also need to base future once on my friends Knight force, from game had a while back with Primarch, Knights & 1850pts worth of models

Sadly didn't get to much time to paint the Champion & Autocannon arm Iron Warrior on Friday.  But thankful made up for the time on Saturday & spent a few moment early today just getting last bit detail painting on both models.

So that them complete & ready for the Shadow War campaign.  I just need to get my Chaos Guards (Cultist) built & painted, I'm just waiting on some Genestealer cult part to arrive to convert shot guns & use autogun from them.

 

But for now it just try get names for all four memeber of this squad.

Also during the spare few moment I had today.  Also got the two Dragoon walker built for my Dark Mehcnaicus.  So like my Chaos Guards, this was a force I started a while back, but kept getting put off for one reason or another, in fact my aim was finish them last year.
It get frustrating & more so when you know your just a few models away from complete the list you planned for games.

 

So like my Chaos Guards again, put my foot down.  It case of, if this don't happen now, it not going happen that all.

 

Between now & the next few week I'm going to get those last few boxies.  I've got Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th May off, which I'm going to spend that least one of those days building.  I've still to get a Dunecralwer, Servitor & another 2 boxies of Dragoon Walker.  I should be able to get the first two next weekend.  I'm still waiting to hear back from Games Workshop over voucher which will get the last two Dragoon.

I'm going to try get them there first & last game 7th ed.  But I just want my 1850pts complete.  Mean all current armies are up to list I planned for games, when I start new army.  I can always go back & add more cool models later on.

Also once that done.  I'm really looking forward to my new Nurgle Marines force as soon as those models are release.  Right now I've been planning on what to do.  Getting idea while I wait to see more of the new Nurgle models.

Part of me thinking painting them in the bone colour that Maxime Pastourel has done for his own Warband - see image below.  Just bone colour something I've never done for my own models as overall colour scheme.  Also seen the red spot colour work really well with Maxime Nurgle force, red one of the colour I use a lot on my own armies & I also think the blue spot colour I use on my own models will work really well.

So thinking this way & a good way to show the Nurgle Marines Crusade/Heresy colour scheme during the Death Guard Legion.  I'll test out some models get a idea on what I want & how I want the models to look painting wise.  Other wise can always fall back to the classic Nurgle green colour scheme - see other image below of the Nurgle Sorcerer from the White Dwarf

Update

 

I've still been pretty busy over the past few weeks.  But as of next Sunday to Wed, I'm off.  There a few things hobby wise I want to get done.  There few models I was keeping aside for the ETL, my Forgefiend, Metal Helbrute, Deflier.  So all them will get base & ready to paint in the following weeks.  It'll be good to get some painting time that home as right now it just Wed & Saturday.

 

Also to finish the Dark Mechanicus.

 

So this arrive in the post today.  I was really gutted when Forge World stop selling the Chaos Dreadnought.  There really cool & if I knew this, I would have pick up a few & most of all diffrent weapons sets.

 

But mange to get this IW Dreadnought in the post today.  I'm going to possible paint strip the model.  Just I'm unsure how other work with resin.  For me, after washing the model & building them.  I tend to spray varnish (before undercaoting) as this help key on the paint & undercaot to the model.  Then once it is fully painted, varnish again.  I've notice a few part of paint chip away already on the model.

 

Also it because I want to cut away some icon & add brass etching.

 

Note - If anyone got any suggestion for paint stripping Resin, please let me know.

 

Plans for the model - I'm wanting to add jaws to the model, which has already been seen on a few of my Iron Warriors.  The recent Shadow War force as a exsample of this.  Though it would be cool.

Trophie wise, I'm going to add new updated trophies.  They will rep the once he has currently.  So there will be a Dark Angel, Imperial Fist & Black Legion.

Also get new base sorted.  For the arm.  I'm going to keep the Plasma Cannon.  But I might use the Ironclad Dreadnought siege arm.  I might also add servo arm from the Iron Hands, Iron Father from the Horus Heresy.  Then there few part from Age of Sigmar models I might use toward the conversion

With 8th ed near & 7th ed that it end.  I'm pushing forward to get my Dark Mechanicus force finish, well up to 1850pts startanded aim on armies just get games & then go on to add all sort cool new models & unit in the future.

Then just pick up my mail order today for my last unit needed for my 1850pts list for my Dark Mechanicus.  While it'll not matter for 8th (really really looking forward to 8th).  It just good to know after two years I've finial gotten this army to gaming ready.

Again both models will get built on Monday during my day off.  Along side base for the Dunewalker & the Servitors.  I've also started building the Chaos Guards for my Shadow Wars force.  Just during the week there my friend wasn't able to make our game, so chose to get the models built while I was that my gaming club.

 

I was also that a local wargaming show, just a few moment walk from my local Warhammer store.  Was a really good day.  Pick up a Forgefiend (yes another one, think that 9 Fiend models) that need a bit of work done to it.  I also got the Chaos Lord from the current box game just to keep around for conversion.  Got Forge World Dreadnought CCW (seen in photo) from my friend that the bring & buy part.  As well as pick up some different tuft grass & base stuff from a local company that seem to be a hour away from me - It for my Death Guard force, try make there base bit different from my Iron Warriors, but still tie in for overall Black Crusade theme I'm going for.

 

Also waiting to hear back from one of my friends who current that Warhammer World for the Kill team event.  They where going to pick me up the Graven Warden Terminators for my Death Guard force as well.

​Since last time - This is my Mk6 Iron Warriors.  Started in 2011, to mark ten year of collecting Iron Warriors back then & move away from the old inks.  You've got 53 pages to catch up on.

​My Iron Warriors took part in the Warhammer World Campaign -  Boralis Schism, in March.  Really great weekend, fought 4 out 5 great games & happy gotten the best army award.

​While back in 2013, my Iron Warriors feature in the August issue of the White Dwarf as part of the Army of the Month article.

 

Right now there over 300+ models, Iron Warriors, Chaos Guards, Dark Mechanicus & Knights.  This will led onto a Black Crusade force with

• Death Guards
• Black legion
• Night Lords
• Red Corsair
• World Eater/Daemonkin

I'm just waiting for new Chaos Marines models to get release.  Really looking forward to 8th ed Warhammer 40,000.  If we are able to assault out of Rhinos, then with everything seen so far it is the perfect version of the rules for me.  Everything posted on the community page is cool.  Also most of all, the soul/hobby destroying Deathstar list are remove from the hobby.

 

Anyway

 

So really looking forward spend tomorrow try get as much hobby done.  Try get a lot of models built, base & then Tuesday get them all undercoated.

 

​Also just heard from my friend.  Few my friends where that Warhammer World for the Kill team event yesterday.  So they've pick up the Death Guard Graven Warden models for me & another set of Nurgle Death Guard Rhino doors.  Stocking up right now just so I can make a good start when Nurgle Chaos marines are finial release.

So with few days off, aim for today get some hobby done.  Got the second unit of Dragoon built & ready for undercaoting tomorrow.  Also mange to get the Deflier base so I can get the model undercaoted tomorrow as well.

Also the rest of the arm's arrive for the Iron Warrior dreadnought I got a week or so ago.  I'm thinking of using magnate for the first time, so one my friends is going to help me with making sure it all sorted.

So during Saturday I was that a local wargaming show.  While getting stuff sorted for the bring & buy part of the event.  I found one of three World Eater Forge World Dreadnought I use for my old Black Legion force.  Once find a way strip paint from Forge World models, I'm going to sort this & if I can find the other two models.  Get them ready for my World Eater/Daemonkin force.

Then on another Dreadnought related note - Got the classic Nurgle Forge World Dreadnought arrive that will be kept to one side for my new Nurgle army.  Really gutted Forge World stop selling there Chaos Dreadnought range.  The Helbrute model is alright, just there some parts I'm not to keen on, but there a lot cool conversion.

That the last two Dragoon models current needed for my Dark Mechanicus finish.  I just need to get the Servitors base & the Dunecralwer base, try get some time set aside to start building them tomorrow & ready for painting soon

Also made a start on the Deflier yesterday (main silver & base) after nearly forgetting that I had the model undercaoted.  With the gold just painted today & shaded.  I ended up going back to Space Marine on the PS3 recently.

Also the Nurgle Dreadnought arrive during the week, really looking forward start the Nurgle force.  Pretty much just waiting for the models to be shown on the Community page or Warhammer Fest is next weekend & looking forward to seen the updates on 8th ed.  I'm really looking forward to 8th, everything I've seen so far been great & if given the chose I rather just get games 8th ed now.  Then as said before, removal of Deathstar list has been the biggest part I've been happy with.

Bit gutted I missed out on the Sector Mechanicus Galvanic Servohaulers, with mail order currently been out of stock & my local Games Workshop store only been sent one box.

 

I'm wanting to use the servo arm's for my Havoc unit Rhino.  Take on the idea George Dellapian had for his Imperial Guard - Dragon Slayer force from White Dwarf 313, for his Tech Priest & his unit of Servitors (see tank below)  I've had the Rhino still in box, along side the Genestealer Cult truck that was going to be there transport.  With 8th ed now making it -1 to hit instead snap fire, I'm wanting to try get there transport ready pretty soon.

Just been spending today painting up the second squad of Servitors.  Still lot to get painted, so what ever left will hopeful get finish painted on Saturday.  Also have my first game of Shadow Wars on Saturday as well.

Along side my first unit of Servitors.  Once the whole Dark mechanicus force is painted.  I'm going back to tidy up few parts & add few things.  Like adding weather powder to these models.  Just right now trying to get them finish, before 8th ed & try get a game with them.

I didn't even notice the dice & cards until later in the day.  Just the new Nurgle models are cool & I'm really happy about starting them as my new force for 8th ed & as part of my Black Crusade project along side my Iron Warriors.

Though watching the video back in March, there still seem like there a lot more to get release.

Anyway, here what I've currently been stocking up on.  So 3x FW Rhinos doors.  Going to try get another few, just with them vanish from the Forge World web site & unsure what I'm adding, so want to keep a few aside for Rhinos & Predators.

 

Then Grave Warden, waiting for the plastic Terminators we've seen in the video get release for conversion.

This also arrive today, after place the order on Friday.  Iron Warrior heresy doors for my unit of Havocs Rhinos.  IW Mk3 shoulder pads & more brass etching toward this rhino & the classic Iron Warriors FW Dreadnought I shown a week or so ago??

Then the Lord of Iron getting ready for a game I've got this week against my friend.  For those who've keep track of this log.  A few years ago me & my friend had a game that was - Primarch, 1850pts list & Knights.  Just see what Primarch where like & because somthing we had planned since they'd gotten Vulken (I painted) & waiting for the release of the Lord of Iron.

 

Also, we both found games where it just Knights vs Knight......it not that great fun to be honsty.  It is down to who ever get first turn when it just them & games last about 45min.

 

But this way, it is fun.

So there currently getting Leman Russ this time painted for there current Ragnar formation force.  Sadly I don't think I will be able to get photos, as there already a lot to carry.  This is part of the 7th ed send off games...........but be honsty......... I rather start playing 8th ed now.  I've not kept it a secret.......7th ed been fun, however I've not enjoyed the rise of Deathstar list & Warp Spider spam list that where shown up in local events & the sort of mentality some people had.  It wasn't fun, it really not the way I want to enjoy the gaming side of the hobby, been told to drop a army you've care for, that you should instead go for the latest internet army list.

 

One of the reason I like Warhammer World events.  Everyone there to enjoy the hobby, everything allowed, but no one goes over the top.  Lot of the games are great, it great talking to people about any aspect of the hobby & general seen lot of cool hobby.  Always going to suggest Warhammer World events to any hobbiest because the event team do a lot of hard work.

Everything I've seen of 8th ed I've like.  Seen the post on been able to charge from Rhinos, that pretty much made 8th ed the perfect version of the 40k rule for me personal

Update

 

Here the Deflier.  It almost finish, I just need to paint some Chaos rune, wire, blue glow effect & to apply Forge World soot weather powder to the Battle Cannon & Autocannon.

Was aim get that done during today, but ended up with one of the worst headache due to the past four days heat wave we've had here :(

I really like the model & have been thinking possible collecting a force in the future.

 

Also with 8th ed soon & a lot of leak happen.  I've sort of made my new core list I'd like to use in my games.  It pretty much models from the list I use back in March during the Warhammer World Campaign weekend.

All it mean is

 

• Maulerfiend need the cutter remove & lash added.  I'm thinking useing the once from the plastic Chaos Helbrute model.
• Another Terminator to the unit that've protected Lord Narach.  So Terminators are minimum of 5 models per squad now.  Despite having a lot of Terminators already.  I'm adding one with Icon of Vengeance, something I wanted to do in the past.  Pretty much I'm going to use the Forge World transfer sheets & then I'd like the create my own transfer**.
• Getting around & building my Havocs Rhino, hopeful start this tomorrow so I can have it ready for painting next week or two.

 

Other than that, I just really want to wait until I have the Index Chaos book.  Also just make a start on my new Nurgle force.

**Any made there own trasnfer before, any suggestion?  I'm aim on getting a list of campaign, from background from Horus heresy ro current 40k era to campaign my Iron Warriors fought in, like Warhammer World March event.
