The first cover is great, the Terminator's huge size compared to the Daemonettes' frail figure almost leaves one thinking who's the monster - 40K in a bottle, then.

The second one has some nice ideas, but perspective and proportions are strange, especially the double-bolter wielding and the furthermost marine's upper leg size. The perspective of the foremost marine's breastplate is also a bit wrong. No questions asked on the image's awesomeness, though.

It is difficult to see the image on the cover. You click on the image and brings it to center of the screen - but doesn't enlage it in the least!

Still, I look forward to reading the novel next year.

when you mouse over the image again after you click on it their is an icon on the bottom right that looks like four arrows pointing to four corners on a square click on it and it will make it bigger.
For you that like Dark Eldar aswell as Space Marines.

Amen to that. I'm really hoping that this will be the book to help change my opinion on the Iron Hands.

Love the artwork, especially the Termie blasting that Daemonette...I think that may just become my background for awhile.

I like all of the artwork apart from the two battle-brothers. There's something about the eyes on the first, 'John Woo' marine just looks odd. The terminator looks brilliant though.

I'm looking forwards to this - I only hope the book doesn't cause more questions for the chapter though (Like - how many dreadnoughts do they have, how codex are they, do techmarines and iron fathers exist...)

I Loved the artwork! The Optics are a bit big, but could be explained / extrapolated away as 40K NVG's.

The two Bolters thing is nice! I also like the absence of ejected bolt casings, Iron Hands with caseless ammo!

Which first novel are you guys talking about?

I read Battle of the Fang by Chris Wraight and thought that was one of the best books so far in the SM Battles series (obviously Helsreach is the other one). So I am looking forward to seeing his take on the IH. Really getting into them recently.
