I honestly think that people are reading WAAAY too much into GW's release patterns. Going by GW's performance, PR record, pricing strategy and other such fails, I would not be surprised in the least if they didnt have a heavily structured released program... When it is ready and we need a boost to sales, release it. Nothing overly more complicated than that.

Yeah but its fun making up rumors and talking about whats going to come out when and how even though you only heard from a guy who knows a guy whoes uncles said he knew a guy who knew a guy. Codex will come out when it comes out.

Last time this happened was shortly before the Tyranid codex. They haven't said anything either way, but this could be an indication that something awesome this way comes.

If I were a betting man I'd say we're likely to hear at least something about BTs from GW within the next month.
It's not terribly specific or definite, but it's news.

I think you're kind of missing the point. The thread and its contents are not the interesting thing; it's the similarity to the pre-Tyranid codex release event on BoW, and their decent track record for calling certain releases ahead of time. IIRC they called Necrons about the same time as one or two other sites, and then lo and behold we got a new Necron codex.

I hope you are right... I'm really itching to just see pretty BT models. Just give us new models, a couple of characters with special rules, and fix our Rhinos point costs. Oh, and two special weapons per Crusader squad. I'll be happy.

I wish this thread would disappear. However everytime I see new "rumors" aka wishlisting I feel its my duty to do everything in my power to Nah say the unsubstantiated nonsense .... and I always will
count on it ....
That is all...
How lucky we are to have you to guide us, then. May your self imposed quest to keep us from discussing anything you disagree with or dont believe continue for 10,000 years.
Does it count as rumor mongering that I had a dream that Phil Kelly emailed me and told me we were getting two-wound Terminators?

On that note, the BoW thing seems like an interesting trend, but what is there to it, exactly? I don't know anything about BoW, its staff, history, track record, spin, etc. Is it safe to assume the recent trend of these sort of lists appearing prior to a release is purely coincidental? Or, is there something about BoW I'm unaware of that could allow them to have such foreknowledge into release schedules and allow them to 'hint' to the online community with these sorts of threads?
As much as I've seen BoW have been pretty much accurate with their guesses and they showed pictures of the new tyranid and wolf models in few weeks advance to the official reveal of those said models.
I think that the pictures were taken from a magazine which language was spain/italian/something of sorts. These are again just my observations and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea they seem to get a good bit of stuff from time to time. Didn't they dispell the rumors of 6th edition saying it was a early test build?
Would not surprise me a place that big and of pretty good quality getting on the GW payroll to direct and re-direct rumors....
But that is just me being a armchair general and wishlisting and blah blah blah.
It is a bit strange the lack of rumors to come... Its almost the end of march and nothing of any weight lately...

Anyway I'm not sure on the accuracy but I have a mate who writes for a very reputable blog, and their rumors are normally accurate.
He told me that we will be getting our own nephotyte kit to make them look more like squires.
And that we will be getting "Crusading Knights" that will be armed with Storm Shield and Relic Blades as standard. He told me that the EARLY rules set he saw had them with 2 Wounds and WS5, though I suspect this may have been tuned down. They will have a rule similar to wolf guard to allow them to lead Crusader Squads. I see this as perhaps to expand the foot aspect of BT a bit more.
Once again, dont take this as rock solid but he normally has accurate stuff. Only time will tell I gess

This seems plausible. Like an elite retinue option that exists within the Sword Brethren.

Close enough?
In all seriousness, though, if what your friend heard is true, then Mr. Kelly is holding on to the knightly feel of Templar. Hopefully, I won't have to take a unit of SS/CCW Sword Brethren to achieve the look of "sword/shield knights" anymore (or at least let me take power weapons).

If that's not your cup of tea, then fine, don't read this thread. There are plenty of other threads to read and post in if you don't like this one. No one is forced to read this thread, so lets chill out and not antagonize each other with off topic posts. Antagonizing other members will not be tolerated on the B&C.

Im just hoping for storm shields that give +1 attack, even if we have to lose the 3++ to a 4++ or something. Our codex should reflect us being standard at range but monsters in CC.
Why not a group of Sword Brethren, Furious Charge, Lightning Claws, extra attack, and Iron Halos? :-D
To pull from an earlier post, so many people have seen the new models, or at least seen sculpts. Was there ever anyone that reported seeing sprues? I'd take the appearance of sprues as a "BT are coming this year" indicator, or does Games Workshop often have sprues ready to go years in advance?
