Thanks chaps!

I am hoping to make his sergeant next based on the old artwork, so watch this space. Looking back, I wish I had cast his torso to make my life easier, but live and learn I guess!

I painted the chapter symbol on my Dreadnought, but that is much bigger - I did find this quite tricky as I really struggle with freehand but overall quite happy with it.

As for the Pentarchy - afaik keep an eye out on individual plogs for the moment, but something may well happen in the near future as it is early days sir :)

All looks very very fine Brother:yes:  The blue highlight on the bare heads make your Flesh Eaters suitably vampiric and menacing, and there's a nice touch of the old school RT to them that I really like. All very nicely done, sir:thumbsup:

Thanks very much guys :)

They are a labour of love that might actually see the tabletop sometime this year!! Hopefully get to take them to Warhamz World at some point, covid depending.

@Vazzy - you mean like this Void Baron here? :D

Spoilers!

But all joking aside, excellent work man! It’s an honor to get killed by such lovely miniatures. I’ve been a fan as long as I’ve been on the BnC!

Thanks very much guys, I do try to add a bit of old school style to them whilst still using the new stuff and rules. Kind of a mismatch!

The next guy so far -

Early days, but you see where I am going!

Ah, the infamous "Jaws of Doom" Assault Squad from the Warhammer Siege book, nice ! Interested to see where this goes...

Having dabbled a bit in recreating old-school marines with currently available plastics myself , I've used the Stealer Cult Neophyte web pistol (removing the rear cylindrical bit and the nozzle) + Stealer Cult Acolyte hand flamer (nozzle only) to kitbash a more compact version which looks more like the Rogue Trader-era version.

Regards,

Old-Four-Arms

Thanks!

@ Old-Four-Arms I did used to have a copy of it a loooooong time ago and way before my Flesh Eaters, but sadly no longer :( Inlove trying to get a few old school nods intro my army - the Dreadnough maw was taken from the old RT Contemptors. That is a good call on the hand flamer, I shall have a look at the bitz in question. I am going to go with an archeotech pistol from a FW Praetor which is being kindly donated, though I am planning on magnetising him for a hand flamer and a pointy hand (for gaming)

@ Vazzy cheers my bro, high praise indeed! I am sure you will take a few down with you :D :D

Here is where I am up to with the sergeant :tu:

Thank you Brother K0rtmer! Hopefully it will turn out as planned, if not then I will have fun along the way!

In the meantime, have a squad of Death company for your Saturday -

The Forlorn Hope, led by Reclusiarch Ghorn. Squad looking a little small, I reckon I need MOAR!!

Those Death Company members look intimidating as literal hell. Excellent work.

By the way, who/what is Ghorn's namesake? The Gorn from Star Trek, in the hope he may embody the xenos' ferocity in battle, the way a parent who names a child "Leo" hopes the child will be brave like a lion? The term "gorn" (gore porn), for what the Chaplain does to enemies of the Imperium?

  • 2 weeks later...

Already told you on Instagram, but that guy is shaping up really nicely. I think that the flayed skin scheme is an awesome and fitting idea. Pure badassery.

Keep it up!

Thank you buddy :tu: Note I went with the bone under the chest, though I might have to make it slightly brighter I think, but the BftBG tinted it down - in real life it looks ‘wet’ though
