Nicely done. It's a very striking model - very clean lines, and the colors aren't terribly muddied. Aside from preternatural brush control, how'd you get everything looking so smart?
My one suggestion is that now that you've proved your skills with the basic model, don't be afraid to personalize them a bit. Parchment, flayed skin, skulls, reliquaries of particularly notable Dark Apostles, what have you. If you think you might be overdoing it at times, just ask yourself: what would Lorgar do?
thanks man, i just water down my paint so it spreads without streaking, if it goes on thick then i water my brush and go back over it.. i end up doing 4 or 5 coats on certain parts, like shoulder pads and legs, but other areas can get away with less coats.
i might play arouns with some of the line troopers, i wasnt planning on doing too much with the CSM but have been thinking about how to pretty up thier rhinos.. pimp my ride Lorgar style
my camera memory card broke today, so im stck for taking pics til i can get a replacement.. however i have got another 19 chaps all basecoated, drilled and ready for thier colours, it wouldnt take long to add a few skulls, chains and purity seals etc
ive also kitbashed my dark apostle
ill update as soon as my camera feels better, thanks for your comments chaps
