Greetings,
I will be playing my first Apoc game this Sunday (12k per side / 6 players). I was thinking of taking the Eldar Vampire Raider with its transport capacity of 30 models. I then read the Flyers rules and came across the Hover entry. As I understand it, the Raider does not have this entry; therefore, embarked models can only disembark if they can deep strike. I do not know of an Eldar unit that can deep strike so this transport would seem kind of useless.
Am I reading this wrong?
Thanks.

Wrong I was and right you are. Seems like a waste of transport for just Spiders and Hawks.

If you are playing on a huge table (read floor) with relatively small armies where transports actually matter because the entire table isn't swarmed with models. Then the raider has somewhere it can land and it can be useful in that sense... Otherwise I would pretty much always go with the hunter... Although I love Eldar titans... yay for holofields.
