My Minotaurs blog (updated 4/11, inv. to FB Minotaurs page)

Recommended Posts

This will be the place where my Minotaurs will take shape...I am particularly fond of them as I am coming from Greece and they give the chance to combine my love for ancient history and my 20 years long love for 40k. I hope you will like them as much as I do...

Great conversions - the Minotaurs color scheme is pretty nifty.

..out of curiosity where did you get the heads? where they whole heads or just the crests?

really like how they look personally.

Thanks for your kind words. The helmets were bought from max mini miniatures. I used some of the helmets as they were, I cut the crests from some others and put them to GW marine heads. I hope that helps a bit

Chapterhouse has some interesting Greek-themed heads as well.

You are right, I was considering them as well as those from puppets of war. But I want to see what forgeworld will come up with, as the sneak peak of the Minotaurs chaplain with the Greek inspired crest is fantastic !!!

Thanks for the info on the helmets the chapterhouse ones do look interesting too..

I'm getting more into conversion stuff now and i 'm debating Minotaurs as a good project for some nifty looking none standard marines..and the greek look is pretty cool as well..

Very nice Haakon,

- how did you get the antique aged green bronze look in the creases?

IronDragon66

Thanks for your kind comments. It is actually Hawk turcoise in the recesses and then a thin white line...The main bronze color is Vallejo Laton Brass followed by a Devlan Mud wash.

Hey Haakon,

What'd you think of the new Moloc and Eknomi from FW - do you like them? Will you be adding them to your army? What's the verdict? Personaly your Cpt. Danaos looks looks very much in line aesthetically with FW Moloc! :tu:

EDIT: You posted the second I pressed "enter"! :D What an amazing bunch of Minotaurs there! Excellent! Really good work on the blue/red contrast there! Archilochos looks as if he was meant as a Minotaurs mini from the start. Keep'em coming!!!
