Fantasy Flight Games are launching yet another Role Playing Game, and this time it's about the Imperial Guard.
The men and women of the Imperial Guard sacrifice more and gain less than perhaps any other arm of the Imperial Armed Forces."
–Commissar Ibram Gaunt
Only War is a standalone Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game experience in which players take on the roles of soldiers in the Imperial Guard, the galaxy-spanning armies of the God-Emperor. Fully compatible with FFG’s other Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay titles, this comprehensive game system explores a previously unseen side of life in the Imperium of Man.

Sweeeeet.
Damn FFG.
Damn them and their awesomeness.
I don't even have an active gaming group anymore and I STILL try and buy all their non-"adventure" RPG books just for the vast amounts of info in them.
Now I have to buy ANOTHER one.
Jeez.
Their publishing rate is vastly outstripping the rate that I can reasonably buy them...
Still need to get:
Deathwatch: Mark of the Xenos
Dark Heresy
Dark Heresy: The Inquisitor's Handbook
Dark Heresy: Creatures Anathema
Dark Heresy: The Radical's Handbook
Dark Heresy: Ascension
Dark Heresy: Blood of Martyrs
Rogue Trader
Rogue Trader: Into the Storm
Rogue Trader: Battlefleet Koronus
Rogue Trader: Hostile Acquisitions
Soon I'll have to add these to that list:
Black Crusade: The Tome of Fate
Deathwatch: Honour the Chapter
Only War
Dark Heresy: Daemon Hunter
Dark Heresy: Book of Judgement
Rogue Trader: The Koronus Bestiary
Rogue Trader: The Soul Reaver
Ain't no rest for the wallet, and money don't grow on trees....

"The ℧ltramarines are the greatest of all Space Marine Chapters. From the dawn of the Imperium they have served the Emperor with loyalty and a ferocity that no others can match." "in faith and in valour they are unmatched." "The ℧ltramarines are the exemplars of the Space Marines, the purest and noblest of all Adeptus Astartes." Are you paraphrasing Cage the Elephant (Ain't no rest for the wicked)?
I do echo your sentiment, however, TEC. Another must buy.

I'm hoping they scrape together an excuse to do an entire book of Necrons... You know, just so I have yet ANOTHER thing I want but don't really have the money for.

If you're alright with PDFs, you can buy those and spare some money. Mind you, it has the drawbacks of requiring either electronic support or printing relevant bits, as well as not looking all nice and pretty on the book stand.
That said.. My first thought when I saw this was "yay, another game for me to cram my Marine fetish into!" Imma gunna play a Marine amongst mortals role one day, damn it! xD

Yeah, I know what you mean.Their publishing rate is vastly outstripping the rate that I can reasonably buy them...
As a true collector of background material for the 40k universe, my 40k budget is pretty wast, but lately both FFG, BL, GW and FW have been releasing just insane amounts of stuff. - I've said it before, but I wonder if they might be getting lots of stuff out there for 40k now, so they have more time to work on and release LOTR stuff after the hobbit movie gets released.
I also wonder how soon the Collector's Edition of this will be announced.

I'm with you both TEC and CG - I only currently have a couple of the Deathwatch books (Core and TEP) - so I'm slowly gaining the funds to buy the rest in that set before I start on Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and now Only War haha - I am also slowly building my collection of BL works so my future wallet is shallow at best haha

I wonder who will do the angel coded, jervis and his blandness at everything, or ward making them devout allies to tyranids and jealous of ultramarines

God damn...
I've only just nearly finished the Dark Heresy series (Ascension and Disciples left), and was planning to go into Rogue Trader, and then they release this?
That said, it looks like a good idea. I mean, time for those suicide mission squads. Think I'll be re-reading Gaunt's Ghosts, the Last Chancers and Caiphus Cain for inspiration.
