The process requires detailed cutting away at the bits with an X-Acto knife.

There is some greenstuff and plasticard work you can do, but it's optional.

 

Step by step pics to walk you through the whole process for flamer, plasma and meltagun options.

And there is the ability to magnetise the weapons as well.
