xmercx Posted May 15, 2013 Author Share Posted May 15, 2013 progress on the first of my new squad the rest of his squad mates are going to be my first vow for the E Tenebrae Lux II I [Xmercx] answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete [One 9 man Devastator Squad with 4 plasma cannons] from [my as yet unnamed successor chapter of Blood Angels] of total value [214 points] on or before August 15th. Success will bring eternal glory to [The Blood Angels and all their successor chapters] and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end I have my pre shot of the squad, which still needs some mold lines cleaned up I may tweak some of the arms a bit like I did with the first guy. Most of it is in the white, which frankly is not that uncommon (damned uncooperative white!) but some is in the orange, too. You look experienced enough to thin the paints, so maybe the models haven't been prepped and cleaned well enough? Or maybe I am just seeing things? it has more to do with user error involving a new can and new brand of spray paint for the base coat which I think I have resolved for all his buddies. xmercx Posted September 1, 2013 Author Share Posted September 1, 2013 so the Blood Angel sub forum is starting up a new painting challenge http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279289-from-rage-to-salvation/ first project for it: I, Xmercx of the Nova Angels (working title for my succesor chapter), vow on the honour of the Primarch Sanguinius and of the Ninth Legion to paint and present a:Furioso Dreadnought w/ Frag cannon and heavy flamer 1 Assault Marine w/ flamer (and mag'ed so I can swap for a plasma gun or melta gun) (it is what's on my painting desk atm) before the 30th of November. I will present pictures of my progress in this forum.I vow to bear the CARCERES IRA badge in my signature, should I fail to complete my pledge.
