Kirby's been busy in the Land Down Under. He's reporting a sighting of finished Eldar boxes. Here's the details:

plastic Warpspiders/Everguard
plastic Skycharriots/Shining Spears
plastic Phantomwaechter - these might be the shadow spectres?
plastic Jetbikes
plastic Wraithguard/Cataphracts
plastic flyer combi-kit - The flyer is pretty large and has a crossbow shape, two canopies, one fin. The main variant on the cover has some lances and a large dorsal distort cannon. The other variant has extra downward/sideway thrusters, but I don’t remember if it has a different weapon loadout.
plastic phoenix lord niadhau - For Shining Spears, appears to be on a Vyper jetbike.

resin Black Warden - The Black Warden looks like an female Autarch. She has a shurikencatapult and a feathered guardian helm with an eye on it.

No talk at all regarding schedule or rules. This is simply a listing of what boxes were sighted. Some of those names are odd, but some of you Europeans with the German, etc versions of the Eldar codex may be able to help us out.

Sounds like Nuadhu Fireheart to me. He's not a Phoenix Lord, but he is an awesome badass... who can now be done justice with the Chariot rules! (He's a Saim Hann Autarch from before there were Autarchs).

About time... I was worried I would have to wait as long as the DE for that jetbike.

I wanted Niadhau but I hope they haven't changed his fluff to make him a shining spear exarch... reckon he will be on a chariot? (EDIT: MIKO@ He isn't an Autarch he is a clan chief, I hope they don't change his fluff to just make him an Autarch... )

As an Ulthwe player this makes me happy... unless the model/fluff/rules make me cry.

It appears like a major overhaul of the Eldar range. The read-through for Chaos is very exciting!

The Autarch is a crummy piece of fluff anyway, so I generally just think of them as being clan-chiefs/team captains like Nuadhu and Yriel

of course they will release Eldar before Chaos. Eldar sell better, and are most appealing to potencial female gamers ( hear say) . I for one am excited they are redoing Eldar because I started off an Eldar player in 1997. So all my stuff, is quite old looking.

Interesting. I sense massive fluff changes for Eldar on the horizon... My question is, is there going to be a major fluff change that makes them Xentarchs? I don't see why else to change the name. Dragon Riders seems like we'll see Exodites. Excellent!

i always understood that eldar pretty much tanked on sales - could be local to me admittedly.

my only issue with eldar coming out is 'oooo shiney.... i've been meaning to do something with that army project.....' in the form of the unbuilt battleforce/autrach/dire avengers i bought last time they got a new dex

i'd prefer chaos/dark angels first but then they are the two armies i started with so i've always been biased to them

And the fact that Eldar are currently worse off and older is negligible right? As someone who plays both, while I'd be happy to bet Chaos IS first, I'd much rather Eldar next

I for one wlecome this news as I have wanted and already started to make allies for my Black Counsls marines with something thats non PA and more Xenos. An I like Eldar an for those that will burn me...My marines are according to the Imperium destroyed so what they dont know wont hurt them

My favourite Aspect get new models (if this all be true) - the Banshees! Looks like my Biel Tan army will be getting started sooner than later!

I just hope Jes is involved in the models, I remember seeing his concept sketches (and talking to him) at a GD years ago. I still love them, even if they are looking dated now.

On a side note, Eldar and Chaos are fairly evenly matched player wise in my area.

typical eldar, doesn't realise its still only 6th ed just been released lol. however, all i am seeing is a: marine player, purge the xenos

Rumors I've heard place Chaos first and within late August or sometime in September. Dark Angels are on the cover of the rulebook and there is the whole Dark Angel on the side of the white dwarf issues thing so they will prolly be second and Eldar after that. just my opinion and a little hearsay.

Eldar actually attracts a lot of the female gamers - more so than any of the other codices.
