Fantastic models - each and every one of them. Just one observation if you don't mind me saying: the Siege Melta on the Mastodon. In my opinion it would look even better if the mouth of the barrel was painted black to represent it being a "hole", rather than being the same colour as the rest of the muzzle. Such a large diameter barrel wouldn't be easy to drill out so painting it black might give the same impression.

Looking at the rest of the model, I can't tell from the images whether or not the other weapons are the same.

well.. its a great model so.. it deserves the attention of A PAINTING GENIUS!  how long was the knight on the modelling bench scar? 

Client build the model i painted it in 25 hours.

Hey everyone!

 

So last weekend i went to my first ever heresy tournament!

What an amazing event it was! Great atmosfear great people very cool armies a top notch lunch and every table was filled with great terrain from battlemat.eu and with their battlemats.

 

The prize support:

1 to be raffled between all the participants BoP box

1 Battlemat.eu battlemat for the BPA winner

1 Battlemat.eu battlemat for the tournament winner

4 Certificates first, second, third places and PBA.

 

My first game i played vs Iron hands, a classic brawl between the 2 iron brothers!

I won the game with capped (20) VP against a very nice guy! Good start of the day!

 

Then at lunch break i heard i got nominated with my army for the BPA! 

Always nice to get appreciation for the work you do!

 

Then after the lunch i got to play one of my clients Mechanicum army!

What a game...

Mech is always a tough matchup if you ask me but i managed to pull it off!

Very nice guy, he even helped me with building my army so i could beat him. (haha)

Won that game also with 14 VP.

 

Last game!

Again against mechanicum, another tough list but again great player and i won again with 16 VP!

 

So end of the day 3 great games at a very cool event!

And i won the tournament!!! :biggrin.:

 

BPA Went to the player i played last game with his mechanicum, it was the difference of 1 vote!

im giving you an australian thumbs up, literally, well cognitively.  here's a tuff question for you scar.. what does your iron warrior army owe you in hobby hours?

 

im sure i can speak for a swathe of fraters when i say your army is about the end goal i have in mind for my own fledgling beginnings.  and as for the standard, you know if your going to do it, might as well bring your best to the task? (your standard suitably demonstrates)  I've heard the argument of painting to a gaming standard before, but to me its an excuse?

im giving you an australian thumbs up, literally, well cognitively.  here's a tuff question for you scar.. what does your iron warrior army owe you in hobby hours?

I have no clue really i paint them in between projects whenever stuff is drying, the mastodon was the first model i did the start of this army, you can check back for the date when i painted it and see where we are now that's what i painted in that amount of time.
