[Brother Cambrius]

Greetings Battle Brothers, now that 6th Edition has been released I'll hopefully be getting back into playing the odd game in the future using the 6th Ed. Ruleset for the first time. With all the adjustments and new rules, I figured I'd better change my list to fit in with that change. Thus below I have my Sons of Doom 1500pts list for general gaming:

So, what do you all think, I appreciate any input and advice. The list has yet to be put into combat and I don't have a game for some time so I've got lots of time to prepare and adjust the list.

i would give drop pod to flamer tacts, and put capt in pod. no reason not to give relic blade to captain, and i would suggest power maul for sgt (maul is s6 ap4, int 4).
-flamer gives good overwatch, and sgt + capt give good melee.

i would suggest using your whirlwind as a rhino, probably for sternguard.
then id give plasma gun tacts the razor. improves armor saturation, and makes it harder for opponent which to priortize first.

i dont think shooty terms really need a land raider, i would be quick to drop that in favour of something else.
-though it does make for an ok gunboat, id personally put a small scout squad inside it so it can score and hold back corner.

dont like powerfist on stern guard sgt, feel it makes him vunerable to challenges. would use nothing or a light claw.
also would wan to take some heavy flamers instead of combi-flamers.

Alas I don't have a power maul to give to my Sternguard Sergeant, thus I have to play with what I have. I might just do the swap over of the drop pod to the flamer squad and add the Cap to them. I was initially going to have the plasma gun squad in there so I could pop the plasma shots off at some heavy infantry or light armour. But the Flamer'll be great for the infantry in cover problems.

A rhino for a 5 man Sternguard Squad seems to not make much sense to me. But I am thinking of replacing the Whirlwind with something else, but I'm not sure what to replace it with from my Army. I may put in a Landspeeder at 50 points to provide moving distraction for a turn or two, possibly armed with a Multi Melta and then give a Power Axe to my Plasma Tac Squad.

I might have a Lightning Claw Captain with a Combi Melta I can use to represent a sergeant for the Sternguard, so I oculd go with that, I'd just have to make it super clear he's just a sergeant though to my opponent.
