Looks pretty good to me. Much of 40 k gaming is knowing you own strengths and weaknesses. And the enemy's pro's and con's. Then it a matter of learning.
I like your list a lot. Don't change much until after 3-5 battles.
Depending upon opponent be aggressive or be patient. Some armies need cc more than you.

Happy hunting. :)

A few questions.

What does the librarian have? Jump pack, walking? What powers?

Any upgrades on the Sanguinary Guard. And remember, Dante makes the Sanguinary Guard troops.

DC with jump packs is really expensive, you should play it out to see if its worth it for the price.

Your Baal predator has an odd mix of guns
Usually you go asscans and bolters or all flamers.
It's usually best that way so all your guns on a vehicle
Shoot at the same range.

Dc jp are very expensive.
I would grab them a drop pod or a rhino
Check out my blog, its rubbisher than yours
http://www.bolterand...p...logid=1352

I'm going to melt your vehicles
I'm going to set fire to your men
I'm going to chainsword the survivors.

Any Questions?

I am going to counter this idea of Jump-DC being too expensive.

An 8-man Jump DC unit with 2 Power Axes is 310pts. Every time I've run this unit, they have killed more than their point cost (except one time when my opponent had 33 Heavy Bolters and killed them before they could charge infantry. The two Axes still lived to charge and kill an entire squadron of 3 Land Speeders though-- so half points back)

I've played Jump DC in 5 games now. I've played with Drop Pod DC in 5 games. I've played with 'Storm-Raven' DC in 3 games. I've played DC on foot twice.

The winner is Storm Raven DC, from my experience. Next best is JP DC--- expensive, but you are practically guaranteed the charge (which is their whole point). And in general, Pod > Foot, although if you go for a shooty-army then foot DC are a wonderful counter-charge unit for bargain price.

Active Duty United States Army, Alumni of The Citadel Military College. 6th Edition Record: 51 Win - 5 Tie - 4 Loss

Nine Principles of Warfare: Objective, Offensive, Mass, Economy of Force, Maneuver, Unity of Command, Security, Surprise, Simplicity. In tabletop wargaming, 8 of 9 apply.

Military terminology: A tarpit is a Fix. A bubblewrap is a Screen. Deathstars are Shock Units. Baiting units is an Ambush. Buffing is Force Multiplication. A pre-emptive decision is a Spoiling Action. Utilizing maneuver to influence your opponent's maneuver is Diversion. Special tricks that execute in 1-2 turns are Tactics, contrasted against your over-arching approach to winning a match is Strategy.

I play Semi-Competitive because after being a true believer and disciple of Competitiveness for years, I personally feel that 6th Edition made a mockery of enjoyable game balance (Flyers = Fanboy Rules)... but I've never had more fun than I do now! I still play nails-hard and I play to Win, but nevermore at the expense of fun for my opponent. Play what you like, or you won't like to play

How about Land Raider Death Company? Only about 20 points more than Storm Raven ...

That configuration got me thinking.12" move, 2x heavy bolters. Nice redeployment long range shooting. Solves ap4 trouble. Ap3 template up close. Puts the brake on power armour assaulters. I think I will try that in this 6ed shooty universe.
