HQ: 250 pts

Wolf Priest (Runic Armour, Saga of the Hunter)
Rune Priest (Chooser of the Slain, Saga of the Beastslayer)

Troops: 580

10 Grey Hunters (2 Plasmaguns, Mark of the Wulfen, Power Axe)
10 Grey Hunters (2 meltaguns, Mark of the Wulfen, Power Axe, Wolf Standard)
10 Grey Hunters (2 meltaguns, Mark of the Wulfen, Power Axe, Wolf Standard)

Elite : 490

Lone Wolf (TDA, Chainfist, Wolf Claw, 2 Fenrisian Wounds)
Lone Wolf (TDA, Thunderhammer, Siege Shield, 2 Fenrisian Wounds)
5 Wolf Guard (Arjac; TDA + Cyclone Missile Launcher; TDA; TDA + Thunder Hammer + Siege Shield; Mark of the Wulfen)

Heavy Support: 330

6 Long Fangs (5 Missile Launchers)
6 Long Fangs (5 Plasma Cannons)

plan is for the Rune Priest to join eighter one one the Long Fang packs (preferably the one with the missiles, cause that one will have the cyclone WG, with his nifty 2+) and go after the heavy units of the enemy with living lightning or murderous hurricane.
Arjac and the Wolf Priest will be joining the plasmapack, the wolf Priest's vow replacing the wolf Standard

and, well... kill! :cuss

40k is a lot like smoking; they're both addictive and expensive, they both make you hang out with people who often smell bad, they both make you into something of a pariah

Hi,

It looks like a decent list although i think you may struggle against Flyer's and Flying Monstrous Creatures. A Rune Priest with beastslayer is less than reliable as i've found thanks to deny the witch rolls. I also don't think you can take anything but Power Armour on your priest if he has SotH, it says so under his entry on page 85.

If this was my list i would probably make the following changes: Drop the Runic armour off the priest, loose the chainfist/wolf claw Lone wolf, change the plasma cannon fangs into missiles and possibly loose arjac as well; hes great in challenges and his hammer throw is an amazing tank buster but in your list hes not mobile enough, most competent opponents will just avoid him or dakka him to death.

With the points freed up from that, i would buy myself an aegis defence line with quad gun, the cover will be nice for your fangs and try to squeeze in a Thunderwolf squad with shields and a fist. I cant sing there praise enough in 6th edition, the ultimate response unit!

I understand you will need another wolf guard to fill in arjacs place to unlock the cyclone so just a standard power armour guy to man the defense gun would suffice.

Just my thoughts!

Cheers and good luck!

I understand most of your suggestions, though I don't agree with them, but the Lone wolf part I really don't understand... why would I change out the better of 2 Lone Wolves???

Everything else seems to gel, but I suggest 3 HB and 2 PC in your Long Fang unit. with the extra points grab yourself a Bastion, they come in real handy. Put your ML fangs on top and your HB in the middle fire your plasma out of the fire ports.

To know and understand that Chaos and Order exist in all things, one simply has to roll the dice.

ty for the hint. how much points does a bastion cost anyway? *is waiting for the starterset to get the rulebook, seeing how you get 2 "decent" armies for only 20 bucks more*

well, looked around for something to use as bastion, but had nothing at hand, so decided to just go for it with the last as he is, and... oh baby... ;)

played 3 games, 1 vs Chaos Marines (with 2 lash princes) and won it by the end of turn 3, me losing 1 Grey Hunter pack, he having 3 khorne berserkers left by the time he scooped
second game vs Nids, dude played a horde, and managed to force a draw, due to his spawning of troops
3rd was vs Tau. nothing much to say about this... seemed like a new player, he came towards me :s
