A few days ago I bought what I'm considering the last pieces of my blood Angels force (Getting tired of building Marines - at least till new stuff BA-specfic stuff comes out :) ) To celebrate, I decided to name the units I have in my collections.

I set out trying to stay away from any already named Blood Angels from ( HERE ) and to stick with Italian names ( HERE ) and angel names ) HERE ) . Of course then I stumbled across some cool Latin names (HERE ) and wanting to use some of those I came up with some fluff that also makes them uniquely mine.

At a promotion (for Sargents) or induction into a "specialization" (Chaplains, Priests, Librarians etc..) the Brothers are allowed to choose a new name for themselves that represents to them the personification of their calling ala Mestiphon. Except for 2 (1 was the first model I owned "worthy of a name" the other was just plain cool) all of the names try to follow that pattern.

Comments & thoughts welcome

Damned cool!!

Wanna see the models. Now that they're individually named, you have to take care to paint them individually and give them the care they deserve :)

There is no harm in, on occasion, having disagreements. It's another thing entirely, however, to be a tool in conveying that disagreement.

Excellent names and titles, brother! I agree, would like to see the lot and I must say I may have to borrow a few of those awesome names from you if that's alright!

Wow nice! I always meant to get around to doing this my self, but never found the time. I'd like to add a link to this thread to my own resource article Angelic Inscriptions if you wouldn't mind.
