"Would you bleed for me, my son?..."

Anyone else been giving any thought on this?

I've certainly given a lot of thought to how my DIY Chapters would fit in the Dornian Heresy, if that counts. http://image.bolterandchainsword.com//public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/tongue.gif

sort of. I was thinking more along something like this

"The Flesh Tearers"

The Flesh Tearers is the nickname given to one of the many splintered grand companies of the traitorous Blood Angels. Led by the young but ambitions lord Seth, the Flesh Tearers carry an unusual but much despised infection that causes their skin to loosen, gaining the consistency of wet paper, and ultimately leaving it vulnerable to fraying and split. While griped with thirst for battle, Seth's forces will literally tear their way out of their own flesh as the surge forward in search of fresh blood.

or This

"The Flawless Host"

The Flawless host is an unofficial name given to the Sixth Grand Company of the Emperor's Children. The name dates back to an instant whereby two loyal legions nearly went to war with each other. During the retaking of the shrine world of Heliotrope, indiscriminate fire from the Iron Warriors caused heavy collateral damage to the Word Bearer's and their attendant forces, including the destruction of several important shrines and relics. The Iron Warriors defended their actions by claiming that Lorgar's legion had failed to exercise proper discipline and control over its followers. The Two legions seemed poised to come to blows, and only the quick thinking of a contingent of Emperor's Children prevented the shedding of loyal blood.

Citing the feast of the Emperor's Ascension to the Golden Throne, The Commander of the of the Emperor's children managed to convince the leaders of both legions to join him in a feast held aboard the Battle Barge, Pride of Chemos. Over the course of seven meals, the Emperor's children employed all their guile, diplomacy, and skill at rhetoric. By the end of the last meal, the Word Bearer and Iron Warrior Commanders embraced in renewed brotherhood, their past disagreements forgotten. The resulting crusade saw nine sectors reclaimed in the name of the emperor, and the Sixth Company was forever after known as the flawless host.

So yeah, just some ideas there. More to come. Don't know if I should post them here.

Culebras speculated on how warbands/splinter factions/successor chapters from the norm'verse could possibly appear in various incarnations in the DH alt'verse. I personally liked the idea of a skinless mutant Seth as the leader of a near-Khornate splinter warband. :)

That certainly poses a number of intriguing modelling opportunities. I'll see what I can do with the fluff from the book, but I might end up incorporating something like that eventually.

I thought you might find it intriguing, I hope you find useful brother. :)

It's been a while, but like a malicious infection, the Angels of Plague rise again!

Progress has been slow, thanks to the realities of late-high school insanity, but progress has nonetheless been made!

Here's the current state of my Raptor WIP:

Looking back at the pictures, I can see there's some touch ups needed in terms of where I've miss-painted (?) some parts with gold. This will be rectified!

Hope you enjoy, C&C welcome as always!

Lovely, lovely stuff (in a sickening, plaguey sorta way), glad to have you back brother.

I adore all the nasty, icky little details like the gut-maw, the shoulder blood drop that looks like glowing toxic waste, the demonic eyes on both the armour and the bolt pistol referencing how Aurelius wrote that the DH Blood Angels didn't know how to maintain their warhead so they just imbued them with demonic spirits! It's all just so true to Aurelius's vision... :)

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like him!

That raptor is pretty sweet. I'm not a expert on the Dornian Heresy, but gonna do any Death Company?

I'm planning on doing Death Company to represent Berzerkers. In the DH fluff, the Blood Angels have a unit who are even more degraded by Nurgle than the rest, so that bits of their brains are missing, and all that's left is a need to kill and feast on the dead. I think they'd make good Berzerker counts as, don't you? ;)
