Had my first game in months at the weekend where the boys in grime hacked their way through a Deathwing deployment alongside their Imperial Guard allies. I hate taking the field with unpainted models so I grit my teeth and got round to painting my first ever tank and doing some actual weathering on it. It's not amazing, be warned. Before wash and touch up detail shots. After wash and touch up detail shots. Up close (horrible) detail shots. So that's the Daisy-Cutter primed and ready for duty. I've reworked my army list a bit so the forces are more fluid. I just have to source the bits to make a custom Terminator Marshal now. Cheers for looking, BT. I'll come back and address them at a later date, I've only got one more Crusade Squad, three Terminators, an Assault Initiate squad and a Terminator Marshal to do then the whole Crusade is done until I expand it. All bases in the army have been given a coating of Strickland mud to add texture to the mire they are 'fighting through', they actually look like they are trudging through mud now as apposed to bare brown bases. Monstra Sumus Posted June 29, 2013 Author Share Posted June 29, 2013 Okay, teeny tiny post today, but as my Malevolent force is done for the most part, I figured I'd start somewhat with my Knights of Blood (Blood Angels rules) Allied force. Starting with my already assembled Captain, he got a new addition. Majestic as all hell. The weapon is a counts-as Infernus Pistol as I absolute hate the tiny meltas. I also figured 'Hey, what better to be a super microwave fusion deathray than a super microwave fusion deathray looking gun!'. As for the claw, well, who doesn't like 3 Attacks doing Shred? I also finished assembling my KoB Devastators ride, for orbital entry bitchin'ness. Now to just actually buy said Devastator squad, plus Tacticool, plus Storm Raven. I'm thinking of going Imperial Fist successor with the MM as the new Black Templar set doesn't fit me much (the old one was an experiment). Token injured marine with missing hand. I enjoyed the BT run but ultimately it wasn't for me. So, I need a leader for my new codex force (which has it's trial by fire in an Apoc game on Monday at Warhammer World) and I decided my Marshal was going to be upgraded to a Counts-As Darnath Lysander. The boys in yellow and black managed to shave off Structure Points from the Reaver Titan, they got the mega nasty Lord of Change down to 1 wound, they abused many, many Chaos Terminators and my new Contemptor claimed a Warp Beast and a Decimator on his own. Below are my new toys to play with. The rest of my Terminator Squad. And my Ancient Lysandros in his Mantle of Hate, heuheuheu. Thinking a nice base for Lysandros, dead Chaos marine maybe? I'm thinking our gaming group will be running a lot of Apoc games now after the one on Monday and Forgeworld is acceptable, including the IA's. I'm considering a couple more Contemptors, another Mortis with Kheres and 3 Standard Contemptors with a mixture of tank busting weapons and fists.
