Progressing nicely with the 6 figures for the HW squads but I don't think they will be ready by the weekend.

The Tau where my first 40K army and have taken a bit of a sideline recently but no more (insert insane laughter here) and the masses of Kroot where a phase I went through .

 

There is a backlog of Tau alongside the DA and IG and Tyranids and some WHF I still have laying around gathering dust.

 

Damn you Ebay!!!!

I know the feeling. I've got a stack load of GotC to paint still, about 750 points of Orks, and plans for an Alpha Legion army (about to finish painting the first 400 points or so). Add to that the Ogre battalion + others (4 Leadbelchers done so far), and the 100 or so dwarfs to paint (picked up for £13 on ebay!), and the 2000 point High Elf army, I could be painting for the next 5 years without buying a single model! :)

What did you use to make the sand bags? They look really good.

The sandbags are from Tamiya

 

They are 1:35 scale - so slightly too big but the price was great and you get 48 individual sandbags to build in any formation you want.

 

I used 8 on each base but you could use as many as you want.

 

The gaps are filled with sand  which has been washed in a brown acrylic and dry brushed in bleached bone.

 

They also do other items like brick walls and jerry cans.
