I finished up my "Justicar" Sister styled Land Raider. I made a Melta Cannon and an Inferno Cannon which are interchangeable and I also added a home made Exorcist Launcher. I added a few purity seals and a few pages with decals of text. I'm happy with it, I thnk I may build an open top transport version or closed top with many fire points (kinda like a big Repressor). It's pretty much done, I will eventually paint a set of heavy flamers and heavy bolters as sponson alternates but that's about it. Oh yeah if you couldn't guess the triple barrel thing is my Exorcist Launcher, I converted some Rhino's with a similar cannon before they actually released the Exorcist way back in the day and I still use them.

Hello Everyone,

I'll make aclassic start with Saint Celestine

gallery_73923_8770_1487331.jpg

Very conventional, added wings and a flaming sword tip.

next is my Sacred Banner of the Order Militant

med_gallery_73923_8770_692200.jpg

never really used her in games, but still nice to have.

and finally my most ambitious conversion up to date, a (mostly) plastic Canoness

med_gallery_73923_8770_607949.jpg

made her from from Immolator gunner parts, which were leftover form one of my Exorcist tanks.

Thanks!

The legs are from the very same Immolator spure as the torso, the helmet, the arms and even the cape (that piece of cloth hanging from two skulls). But they were a lot of work to extract, cut and reassemble. Hence the robe, to cover up anything that's missing:smile.:.

Seraphim on flying bases with Reaper Miniatures wings!

Although the wings don't actually move I imagine them being a variable swept wing like a Robotech Valkyrie. I will probably make a second squad with the wings in the outward postion.

I think they would look better swept outwards. I can't think of a good reason for them to be swept upwards like that.

Any chance you could show us a photo of the backpack with the wings attached so we can see how you applied them?

Unfortunately I have painted all of the packs with the upright wings. Here are some pics of the wings next to the back pack so you can see how the contours match up. I used green stuff to fill the gap. Then trimmed the green stuff down. Then I removed the green stuff from both pieces and glued it back together on both sides creating a green stuff gasket. The wings were just too narrow to pin.

The two issues that come up with the wings in the "outward" position are the fact that they are metal and the mini's are already very top heavy on the flying bases. The other issue is long they are combined with how wide the packs are. They don't bunch up well with the wings out.

Okay, I finally managed to persuade my Sisters to hop on the catwalk too. They insisted to pose in full battle gear though instead of summer '14 collection.

Even though my Inqisitor retired and is probably writing his memoirs he fought countless battles side by side with the Order of the Argent Shroud and therefore takes pride of place in my collection!

I wanted a Priest with a 'real' eviscerator so I made my very own.

@Notorious Preacher: Very, very nice!

With the new eDex, the plans I had for the models I currently worked on, ceased to make sense. Most of them staying the way they are right now, due to various reasons, I decided to take pictures of them (instead of just ranting about it!):

med_gallery_73923_8770_785395.jpg
Initially intended most of them to be Sisters Dialogus or Famulous. Over the years they were instead used/misused for experiments in painting and green-stuffing.
With the sudden need for Priest models though...:biggrin.:
med_gallery_73923_8770_306429.jpg

For my alternative Death Cult Assassin models, the eDex came just in the nick of time, as I was just about to start replacing swords.

med_gallery_73923_8770_776348.jpg

Finally my Crusaders, which I now officially deem cursed.

I started converting them back in 5th Edition and thought "every model having a sword is kind of boring", so I modelled them to each have a different weapon (axe, spear, mace and flail). I finished painting them just before 6th Edition!

Suddenly I needed all of them to have axes (or halberds), so I started re-equipping them and again with just the last of them to varnish, the eDex came.

So now, I've had enough of altering them!:furious:

What are the base models for those Crusaders / Death Cultists? I recognise the Brettonian Damsels in the first image, heh.

The Death Cult Assassins are Battle Nuns from Reaper Miniatures.

The Crusaders are converted GW Mortheim, Sister of Sigmar.

I thought I had posted in this topic, but I hadn't :blink.:

Here is Annabelle Chrysanthemum (Celestine) of the Order of the Dauntless Spirit, the only Sister I have that's painted (I also have a Canoness, Saffron Sera who is under coated, but still awaiting paint):

med_gallery_51296_8390_103664.jpg

Whilst I quite like her, there are a few parts that I wish I had done differently (mainly the hair, the Cherubs which have since received a heavy drybrush of silver and it's kinda ruined them :sad.: and the bird as it looks like a novelty confectionary that Thorntons might sell), so she may get dunked so I can start again, either that or I might splurge and simply get another one (if I keep her as she is, then she'll get her base finished and be used as an objective marker) :happy.:

In any case, once I've gotten the Codex, I'll start getting a few minis at a time and slowly build them up to 1k.

Huh. The shields?

The shields are little sheets of Aluminium covered in decorative bits from the immolator box and some experimentation of using green-stuff or thick paint to create free-hand with the faintest hint of depth.
