Zeal is it's own reward, repenting

If you do want the titan to be black and white, you should check out the warmongers, a monodominant legion that fits well color and minset wise with the Templars.

Personally though, I'd do something radically different for colors and support it with at least a few matching skitarii, to emphasize the difference and add variety to your apoc force. A few well defined forces look better than either a too uniform force or something that's all over the place.

I personally picked the Legio Metallica. They fought with the Black Templars on Armageddon. There are a few other Titan Legions that were there as well. I just wanted something that went with the Templars in the Fluff. I think the fire wasps were there as well.

Agreed, I might actually go for the Legio metalica one, the red looks nice or else maybe a full white with grey/dark weathering. Just won't be getting any skitarii anytime soon. I'm big on mecha but admech never did much for me for some odd reason. That and with FW's update this will see 99% of it's service with my lil guys in black anyways.

That's an impressive collections of "robots"!

Looks like big brother is coming soon? Any idea of a titan legion? I know many of our brothers like the warmongers, since the color scheme matches ours and their philosophy (monodominant, I believe) does too, but something entirely different could look striking too, like a red or blue titan, towering above the sea of black marines.

I've been looking at a Red color scheme I found in one of the older IA books, and it would mix well with the red I associate with veteran status in my crusade.

Suggestions are as always welcome.

If I ever get to the point where I can do a titan, it'll be the War Griffons. Camo + Yellow = EXCELLENT!!!

Play on brother, this looks to be quite interesting.

Your backlog of models seems just like mine!! we keep buying stuff but no time to actually paint them hehe!

Good luck painting them all...  you can use the dreadnought formation for apocalypse ( was quite fun when I used it in the old edition ! )

Nice looking contemptors... nice dynamic poses too.. looking forward to seeing them painted.

So many dreads! <3

On our local club forum my name is Son of a Dreadnought, title well earned as far as I'm personally concerned.

That said I still want more dreads... kinda my fetish.

Voom the Warhound (yes thats his name it's a gag between me mates) got his backside assembled today, his groin magnetized and his gun shoulders.

Tomorrow I'll probably epoxy the remainder of his rear end together and hopefully rig a magnet into the joint holding the weapons.

Backlog wise I need to finish one terminator (missing a front chest and a nice head) and a land speeder (missing the backplate... who eats those!?) besides that I have 3 razorbacks waiting, 6 bikes and a large amount of chaplains (as befits our chapter). Then if my sanity holds I might finish the Vangaurd veteran's the assault marines and the 80+ footsloggers with various weaponry... give me till like september.

I'm with you on this one too!

And Tekman, I add +1 to the comments about the dreads. It seems that everyone have beaten me to it. It looks like a proper, epic, 40K: Crusader Squad. Because Power Armour is too mainstream and not spectacular and sturdy enough, right? You should try the Siege Vanguard (or whatever its called) list with Dreadnoughts as troops.

I think it's because the dreadnoughts are easy to assemble and paint in pieces.  I even magnetize their torso's, so I can easily paint all the parts, and to give them some added height.  (I always think they look a bit too squat, so I use a bunch of magnets to raise them up a bit without having to model).

Voom is now fully magnetized, next up is the "roof" then the weapons (which have been base coated already) and then I need to decide on how to pose the legs (and if I want a base or not).

*squeeeee*

Painfully awesome.

Ahem. I mean, purge the heretic.

Each piston comes with it's own damned purity seal... think I'm going to write burn the witch on one leg and slay the xeno on the other, I mean there's only 5 pistons in it's ankle with 3 toes and then 3 more pistons at it's hip and have I mentioned one on each damn piston segment!? PISTONS!! *Will need a few days in the painglove to re-conform to proper Templar society for the sheer amount of piston measuring, fitting, cutting and adjusting has driven him mad*

Hopefully your making hammering, ratcheting, mechanical, industrial crane and electrical circuitry sounds as your building this wonderful, wonderful machine-god....

(Coz I know I am while looking at this...):whistling:

And before it is completed... hopefully a powering up sound.... :p

Yes I am, at this rate I expect to have him (assuming all goes well) to be done near the end of the weekend.

This will then be paired with going "Vooooooom" and making gun noises for a few hours.
