Zeal is it's own reward, repenting

It depends entirely how you intend to use him, and who is meant to represent. If its the big man himself, I'm hard pressed to recomend any othe colour than black. If you want him to be a marshal and tag along with that gold Honour guard i've seen you have, then gold could definately be a thing. I don't see why you'd go yellow though.

Yellow would be for my 30K fists (which whilst not as extensive as my BT) are my second army that I'm putting quite a lot of time and money into rather then saving of eBay and the sorts.

So whilst it's incredibly tempting to make him black I'm on the fence as to stick to the original color schema FW has set out and then also make the Templar Brethren yellow.

Well making him yellow means he's GC, early HH era.

Making him black means he's been appointed the emperor's champion and is claiming heads during the siege of terra, or any point afterwards.

Given that his rules entry in 30k lists half a dozen titles for him, but none of them are his most famous one, and the fact that the official paint of the model is in fact yellow, it seems to be a safe bet that the model and rules are meant to represent the early era version of him. It wouldn't surprise me if they give him new rules and a model for the Siege of Terra (when it comes about sometime in late 2020)

Yup 3 broods in total, he matched me in points (4000). Logistics kicked in when he ran out of models to spawn, I sort of forgot my fire raptor the entire game... But all in all it was a good evening.

A reaver is 1450 points, I triple checked if he minded it, he agreed on the premise he could use an unbound nidzilla list.

Currently I'm setting up an entire club vs me event but we've run into the small snag of me overshadowing the rest in numbers (only one close is our nid friend here at 20k points).

So today there's a tournament going to happen and yesterday my partner (it's 2v2) went like: oh by the by can I borrow a redeemer of of you?

So between me going "why didn't you ask sooner" and him stating he "must have it or else his silly GK can't do jack" we went into the "leftovers" cabinet and made a redeemer, then because it was already 6PM I decided to give it a go.

One zeal later:

It was finished at 00:01 so this is probably the fastest tank I've pooped out, will definitely have to come back AFTER the tourney for small touch ups.

Yeah it ruined the sexy times I was having with a KV128 and my Knight Cerastus but it was a matter of zeal.

Coincidentally I don't want to see a LR for at least a month on my table now.

Brother Tekman, I couldn't help but notice the airbrush compressor on your workbench, but that mean looking Cerastus is blocking part of it. I'm shopping around for one, what's your setup if you don't mind divulging?

I use a 3 liter with a flow of 20-23 liter/minute. It's a piston compressor with moisture trap that sits snugly at 43-58 PSI, with a 3 way connector hooked up to 3 airbrushes one for base/sealant one for OSL and one for generic work. the two no name brushes are used for OSL (modular gravity fed) and Base/sealant (modular bottom canister) spraying and a badger velocity spirit for the fine coloring work.

Before I used a normal piston with no name brush and moisture trap but it would run too hot during my sessions ( sometimes I paint 4+ hours straight and the thing would overheat due to the lack of a tank).

After doing way to much research on it I came to the conclusion that the brand for a compressor doesn't matter much, but that it has a moisture trap and tank does. everything else is gravy. My compressor + 2 no name brushes ran me for €125, came with a paint cleaning canister, holder and hose splitter + 2 hoses. And then the brush itself ran me for €80.

By en large you shouldn't be spending over €200 or equivalent in local currency.
