the libbys right arm looks a bit long from the front, maybe implant the magnets a bit further inside the torso and arm? just so it doesn't stick out so much. Great work though may steal the chaplain idea myself XD

Thanks for the comments and crits, guys!

Yeah, I've got to clean up that arm - cover the magnets in sleeves of GS, too. I'm okay with the length, but what is bugging me is the length of the DV Libby hand. May have to take a bigger chunk of the wrist off... Also, can anyone reccomend a better left hand to hold the force weapon? The one I'm using right now is from the grey knights kit: the lower hand that holds the two handed nemesis weapon, and the definition on it is piss poor! The hands on this one are killing me!

Got straight to work on trying to clean up the librarian! My GS work needs much more practice (the armpit cabling on the body magnet was really hard for me to get at), but I think it's a suitable repair, and, one that solves the arm length issue as it gives the entire arm a more natural, tapered appearance:

I also took in the hand a little. It's the one from the DV Libby, and it's seriously long. I took as much of the wrist off as I could before I'd be cutting into his thumb:

And lastly, because all birds should be able to fly if they so choose :) :

This helmet does remember me of psykers... Eldar psykers.

I love that force scythe.

AH! Heresy!

Throws bit in grabage

Glad you dig it the force weapon. Question: should I add cabling to it?

Thanks for the compliments :)

I promise to have something painted by the end of June

The raven can be found through the kit furioso mentioned, though the one I used came on its own - I didn't have to chop it off the shield. Not sure on what kit that specific one was from as I bought it off a bitz store on ebay.

I think that the conversion work on that Librarian is amazing.  That is a very clever use of the Master of Signal's helmet for the Psychic Hood as well.  The pose looks just a little "off" to me though.  Having both legs in a wide and open stance as well as the arms just seems like he is going to hug someone, as weird as that sounds.  Have you considered bringing his left arm closer to or across his chest somehow?  I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, I'm just trying to offer some constructive feedback.

Hey - I always appreciate criticism. It makes us better, so I'm all for it! I can definitely see the 'hug' if I look long enough at those frontal shots. If I turn the model to where his hand is outstretching, it isn't so apparent, but I see what you're seeing. What I was going for with the positioning it's in now was playing with the angles the staff, lead right leg, and even the book mark share. I feel like it's creating quite a nice balance right now, but I'm definitely going to explore options on how to keep that staff angle positioning the 'huggy' arm a little differently. We'll see!

Where is the bird from?

It's from the fantasy range Giant kit if memory serves.

nope, it's from the empire general box. fantasy.

I went and checked, you are indeed correct sir, I tip my hat to you.  An impressive bit of conversion work in itself, seeing as how the bird appears to be perched on a shield- so clearly a bit of hack and file work was needed to dislodge him
