Vijok's Unforgiven

Greetings Brothers!

After 3 years of collecting my DA, I finally decided to colour them.

My painting adventure started only 2 months ago (not counting maybe 20 LotR figures about 10 years ago).

Battle damage, freehands and bases will be added later - I have a lot to learn.

So here we go.

C&C are welcome.

Thanks for a warm welcome.

Yup, metal scouts are way cooler than plastic ones - still have 6 to paint.

And here's what i've finished today:

Hope You like them.

I'd agree with the need to add a little more colour to the DW dread on the left. Perhaps some metallics on the plasma cannon.

You've made a good, solid start to painting and you have a very neat style. If you're looking to improve, the next step would be to add a little more definition and shading to the faces (plus painting the eyes) and then try some iconography. Free-hand can be scary, but isn't as difficult as it looks - as with many things, practice makes perfect!

Hope that helps and [please do post some more pictures! :)

Great work.... so far. ;)

I have to agree that the metal scouts are far nicer than the square jawed plastic ones. Personally I like your dreads. Maybe just a little text and iconography with a bit of colour on the plasma cannon and they will be good to go.

The old style chaplain is a bit of a squat compared to the new one. Maybe build up the base to increase his height.

Thanks for your comments.

Here`s part 2 of my Chaplain ETL vow (3 models left to paint and the deadline is so close):

1. Painting after nightshift (without any sleep) is not a good idea
2. Black colour is killing me wacko.png
